Dad was a Marine. Every time he was stationed in or around DC we went to the Sunset Parades. Almost 70 years ago. It's always a thrill! Then when I and my husband were Marines and were stationed there we made it point to attend!
July 3, 1988, it was my great honor and great privilege to attend one of these fine events at the Marine Barracks in D.C., where the President's Own performed an absolutely flawless concert. I had tears in my eyes and goosebumps everywhere the entire evening. It was utterly beautiful. #FamilyIsEverything

In February, 1972, I got TAD Orders from Camp Lejeune for an interview at 8th & I. I had no idea what to expect. I reported in and I stayed in Bldg 58 down at the Navy Yard. Later that week, I met with Capt. Jones, who went on to become CMC. Then I met with the C.O. of MCI Company. I was told during both interviews that the "Barracks" needed a Platoon Sergeant. Later that week I returned back to Camp Lejeune. About a week or so later my 1stSgt called me to his office. When I reported, he smiled and asked me if I wanted to go to Marine Barracks 8th & I? I was totally shocked, however I replied yes. So, in March, 1972 I reported for duty as First Platoon Sergeant, MCI Company. "Out of 1700 records screened for one brother", and they chose me! It was an honor and a pleasure to serve at The Post Of The Corps from 1972-1975. Back then we were all Vietnam veterans. This April I turned 78 years old. Semper Fidelis

Endless hours of practice and proving they can do it before they are allowed to perform in public.
I love the editing style where every time the staff executes a command the camera focuses on something irrelevant.
Why would anyone see negative in this?
I don’t miss anything and irrelevant camera shots were never noticed...
