Congratulations Swayne on your new adventure with United! Now, your next step is to become a Captain! I wish you could upload more often but I understand you're a busy pilot, especially now.
I was just wondering why you haven't posted for awhile. Congratulations Swayne on your new job with United. Your enthusiasm is infectious. I'm very proud of my UA-cam son. Safe flights always.
Been watching you since Envoy era and I'm go glad of what you've become! It's my dream as well to be an airline pilot and your videos have surely inspired me a ton. Good job Swayne and keep up the incredible work🤩❤
Hope United will recognize the value of letting aviation fans actually watch you fly (fixed camera(s), no degradation in pilot attention). Enjoy this a lot in other venues. Been flying United since the 50's. Except for inadequate seat-size, always enjoyed United (737's and 757's, mostly). Congratulations. Looking forward to it.
Congratulations Swayne! I've been living vicariously through your journey and that's what pushed me last year at 41 years of age to FINALLY follow my childhood dreams of being a pilot. I've been putting in the time, work and dedication to hopefully one day be where you are at now. Keep doing what you do and I hope you truly know how great of an individual you are. Thank you again!
Congratulations Swayne, it's been a privilege to follow your journey, much respect. My Grandfather started flying for United in 1928 at age twenty one. Thankfully much has changed in regards to safety in ninety years but your shared passion for flying transcends generations. Your future is bright, Peace!
Congratulations, Swayne! Your hard work paid off. I started flying with my best friend Mike when he was 16 and I was 14. He flew the 77 line for AA until the big retirement wave. I knew he was too young to retire. He is now flying a Citation X for the owner, and for charters. Flying was always in his blood, as it is in yours. Keep spreading your wings to fly, and love every day of your special life. Love you, man. All the best to you and your household.

Congratulations! I am so stoked for you! United airlines just gained a great pilot and should be excited to have you on their team. And how awesome is it that you now fly a 757 and 767. What wonderful airplanes to advance your carrier in.
good job Swayne Martin you came very far in your life from flying 208 caravans to ERJ's and now flying for one of the biggest airlines in the world your my inspiration when it comes to aviation and others things to congratulation
Congratulations! About to finish my PPL at Liberty University in July and start Instrument in August. Been watching since 2019 while I was deployed overseas in the Army. Now I’m finally out after 11 years and going full time college for aeronautics so I can get my R-ATP at 1000hrs. Your videos definitely helped encourage me because I thought I was too late at 34 years old.
I've been watching Martin's videos for five or six years, when you were just starting commercial flying and I was just starting helicopter training in the US. been watching you since the Mokulele Airlines era. I am about to do my instrument checkride and you are one the reasons i left my old college with only 12 hours left to graduate and become a pilot. good luck at United!
I’ve been following you from your Hawaii years and your growth both personally and professionally are an inspiration. United Airlines, their team and the passengers are lucky to have you.
Congrats, what an awesome video. I used to be a station trainer in Denver for United and always had a dream to become a pilot. The time is now, thanks for all the inspiring videos you have created over the past few years. Best of luck at United.
You know before this video I was debating if I wanted to be a trucker or a pilot, both great jobs, as a 14-year-old that's not a serious decision yet, but this video lit up my spirts of being a professional pilot.
Watching you grow since your days of flying Cessna caravan to ERJ 145 to this beast of B757/767 just brings tears of joy and motivation. So happy for you mate.
I am literally in love with United. I live in Europe but I've made it my life goal to fly for United someday. wether it means lots of hard work, and building hours as a CFI, or any other way, Im determined and ready to make it happen. This video is very inspiring, and congratulations on becoming a United pilot, and the fact that you're flying the 757 and 767? You literally hit the jackpot!
Congratulations on your "upgrade" to the big leagues after 10 years, even if it is United (not always my fave to fly). So happy to hear you are getting to fly 757's, that is the one commercial pax plane I would want to fly the most...the power! But this won't last forever, the 75's are getting very old and will be phased out eventually. I am left wondering if the new United gig will restrict what you are able to film and include in your videos - like cockpit footage. Keep up the great work, I am fan! I live vicariously through you.
You see already how the videos change. This one is basically just a big advertisment for united. So the future videos will be the same. You will never hear anything about the existing downsides of it.
@@MaxR. Yes, I agree it was mostly an infomercial for United - but give the kid a break, he isn't going to dish the dirt on United in his first video at his new job LOL!! He has got too much invested in getting to where he is to do anything to jeopardize his career. Frankly, I am surprised United lets him film anything giving the litigious culture we now live in.
What an an amazing progression! I’ve watched every film you’ve created. How 10 years of time flies by. Thanks for inspiring me with every video you and your partners produce. Each film you produce, makes me work harder to reach my goal. You look good in that uniform. Hope to join you on the flight deck.
Congratulations! It's been a real pleasure seeing you move through your aviation career - enjoy flying the heavy and I look forward to your future videos! ✈️
I have been following you since the very beginning and I am so PROUD to see how far you have come! Keep soaring Swayne, you are doing AMAZING things!!!
I’m interested in becoming a pilot starting from zero time. I’ve been shopping around flight schools such as ATP, Aeroguard, etc and found out about UAA. Can you tell me how the program is so far? And what made you choose this one versus other flight schools you looked at (if you did at all)? Thanks!
@@24BigRex The program is great! This school is unlike any other. We fly SR20s with G1000s, a really great plane to learn in. The atmosphere around here is very positive and there is lots of excitement. People from other classes hangout and study together, so that's great. I chose this school bc I was a Flight Attendant for United. It was either this or ATP, but I'm very happy to have this experience and be at UAA!
@@WatsonSwim327 Thanks for the answer! Another question I have if you don’t mind, what was the interview process like? And what do you recommend doing to have a competitive application and increase your chances of getting selected? Again, thanks!
I am so happy for you! I have been watching since moukulele and I am truly super excited for you to enter this new chapter in your life! United is such a great carrier and the 757 is one of the best aircraft I have ever flown. I personally fly for delta airlines as a 757 pilot and I hope to join their a350 fleet of pilots someday!
This is huge deal for your UA-cam community and for yourself. This is a huge step forward in your life. Congratulations! I came to your channel when you were still with American Airlines/Eagle flying on the Embraer. Unbelievable.
wow congratulations Swayne, i basically started flying the same time as you. The time you started flying caravans is the same time I started flying caravans as well, but you have progressed swiftly. 3 years later i am still on the van and you have progressed on a boeing 757.congrats bro
Congratulations Swayne, not often I'm really pleased for people I've never met but I'm chuffed for you. Enjoyed coming along for the ride over the years and look forward to watching whats to come in the future. A great example if you work hard and want something enough you can achieve it. well done, you deserve it.
Its just fanstastic to see you progress in your career brother! I hadnt got the chance to watch your content for a while and just came on here today and as soon as I saw the 757 thumbnail I was like "Oh hellz yea Swayne has left behind the little Embraer and is flying the rocket 757!" Congratulations and thanks for taking us along for this journey! At this rate you will be 787 Dreamliner Captain flying to Tokyo next year aha!
Congrats Swayne on joining United and that’s a positive step in your career and can’t wait to see what’s in store. Plus I hope you can get more details on the ops side of the business.
Congrats Swayne! I've really enjoyed watching you develop and realize your dreams over the years. You are an inspiration! BTW, the 757 is my favorite jet!
Thank you for the wonderful video. I got a late start in flight training. First I got my microlight pilot license and then my Light Sport Aircraft license and now I am doing private pilot training
United couldn't have hired a better pilot/person!!! Dude this has me pumped I'm a southwest kinda guy and 737 driver but love seeing this success and story!
Good job. From not being able to afford a decent car in Hawaii to this. Your passion for flying has really paid off big time. Good luck with United and I know you will make captain with them in no time.
Swayne!!! I live in the Houston area and have always considered United as a hometown airline. Even though they are now based in Chicago, I have a special place in my heart for United. My son was able to participate in the fantasy flight to the north pole several years ago and that has endeared United Airlines to my heart forever. I cannot tell you how excited I am for you!!! I’ve been watching you since you were a students in college and it’s heartwarming to see your career “take off.“ See what I did there? lol Best of luck to you and I hope one day you are the captain of my flight. Safe travel and blue skies! ✈️♥️💪🏻
Congratulations Swayne! I love your videos! It's a big step into one amazing airline! Keep reaching for the stars! I'm also really excited for the new series!
As a fellow company employee, this is a fantastic video that is put together very well. Would be great to be used as a recruitment tool for the much-needed pilots for the airline industry. The 757 is the workhorse of United. Hope you make your way up to captain the 777 and 787's. Good luck in your career.
congrats swayne! Ive been following your journey for a couple years now (wow) and its so cool to see you living my dream! I'm about to do my first solo, and I hope I can follow your path
Huge congratulations Swayne! 🥳 You’re a role model to so many aspiring pilots and aviation enthusiasts like myself! A few months ago I flew onboard my first widebody - a Boeing 767-322(ER) with United Airlines. It. Was. Awesome. It’s so cool that you’ll be in the cockpit, flying the B763, as well as some other amazing aircraft. Keep up the fantastic work, and again, huge congratulations on your new job with United! :D
Congrats on your well deserved career progression from a retired ZJX controller and part time GA pilot. I admire your professionalism Swayne, take care!
I greatly appreciate and can't thank you enough Swayne for all of your help, encouragement, and support you've provided with all of your videos throughout these last few years, and I wanted to give you a hearty congratulations on your selection as an FO for United Airlines! United is also where I hope and pray I get to fly for one day, and I too look forward to flying with you on a United flight deck. I just completed flight training with ATP Flight School last month, and I plan on building my flight hours, either as a CFI with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University or with a Part 135 operator. In addition, I was selected last month for the cadet program at Mesa Airlines, and I'll start flying with them as an FO as soon as I hit my 1,500 - really excited! Congratulations again and keep up the great work Swayne!!!!!
Congratulations on finishing ATP! You're well on your way and can't go wrong with building flight time either way. Can't wait to fly with you and thanks for watching for all these years!
That's awesome your hard work and dedication paid off congrats I'm very happy for you. Hopefully next year I can start flight training at age 45 but it's never to late to pursue your dreams I always say . Love your videos and thx for all your great information.
This is so inspirational. I'm 18 and just graduated high school. I've been struggling on what career I should chase. But I believe that a pilot is my true calling. I've been amazed with planes ever since I saw a Delta Airlines take off when I was little. I plan on pursuing pilot training and working my way all the way to a major airlines. Thank you for sharing your adventures as a pilot and congrats on your new path.
Wow I was just reading yesterday how there's such a pilot shortage right now at the regionals because the mainlines are so in need of pilots and keep pulling everyone up. I thought to myself Swayne must be moving up soon, and here you are! Congrats! Wish it was with Delta so that I could take one of your flights!
Congratulations Swayne. I’m excited for you that you’ve arrived at United. I’m currently training at the United Aviate Academy and it’s been an extremely supportive environment with high standards of training and quality. I look forward to flying with you one day!
Can you do a video on how you balance your day in the life of a pilot? Both on-work and off-work duty? I think this would be interesting to watch since not a lot of people are pilots and traveling across time zones can be a challenge. And on a side note, I am actually pursuing my career in IT aka Information Technology. However, I am rooting for you to making your dream job a reality and savoring it every moment of it every day!
Right now I work for Airport Terminal Services as a ramp agent on our United contract in Fort Myers Florida and right now I should be a few weeks away from hearing back from the Aviate Academy on whether I’ll be accepted in or not. Fingers crossed I do. As an active follower of yours you’ve been one on my inspirations in going on this amazing journey. I wish you the best of luck with United and hope to see on the flight line in the near future.
What a huge accomplishment! 👏🏼 It’s so amazing to watch you grow as a professional pilot! ✈️Thank you so much for putting all those great informational videos on this platform, it has helped me greatly so far! I’m just finishing up my Atp training, can’t wait to be in your shoes one day!
Swayne I have been watching your videos on repeat since 2019 you have inspired me to keep going and never give up when there where road blocks in the way of my training! I just recently got the news that I will be apart of aviate the other day! Thank you for you inspiring people like me with your great content!
Aloha and Congratulations Swayne, my Son has just graduated from high school here on Oahu and is very interested in pursuing a pilot career with United. His Mother is South Pacific Islander and I am a retired airline Captain here in Honolulu. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. Mahalo, John
I know ATP on the island has a decent program. And if he wants to build flight time, he could start networking with Mokulele Airlines (owned by Southern Airways Express)
Congrats Swayne. Been watching your videos since you became a private pilot. And now you’re flying with the big boys. Being an airline pilot is something I wanted to do when I was growing up. Unfortunately, parents did not want me to be one and I had to choose a different career path. Parents wanted me to work for Wall Street or some large accounting firm which I don’t have a passion for. I ended up becoming a logistics specialist for the military as a civilian employee. I do get to see Super Hornets fly around. I later became a private pilot, and may decide to attain commercial someday. Kudos for playing Gershwin Classics at the end; the classic United Airlines music. I remember playing that song in band class.
Hey Swayne. I ran into you at the Chic Fil A line at Airventure. I mentioned that I wanted to quit my job and pursue the airline path. I finally lined everything up and told my boss that I’ll be leaving next month to to flight school full time. I came back to this video because I’m sharing it with my friends since it was kind of what pushed me over the edge to make the decision. Thanks for the videos and fly safe.
Swayne I remember when you posted about small aircraft and your life as a hopper pilot in Hawaii back when I was a happi lil kid- and all I can say is congratulations broski- you did it. You have a long road ahead of you, but this is the beginning of a new chapter and you have done great dude.
Congrats!! Been watching your journey since you flew into MGA a LONG time ago. You've had an amazing run... Best of luck and can't wait to see what the future holds for you...
I have recently joined your channel and started watching. I love aviation! I wish I had followed my dream when I was younger. My dad served in the USAF and I have videos of me being on B-52s and KC-135s at 5 with my dad. Being almost 48 now I don’t think I could become a pilot. Enjoy the videos, and congratulations!
Congratulations Swayne! I’ve absolutely enjoyed your videos over the years. I fly United a lot, so maybe I will have the pleasure of you in my cockpit someday! I look forward to watching your new adventures.
Congrats! Big jump from a E145 to the B757/B767. Glad to see UA still flying the type. Of course, United will use your channel for indirect recruitment. Great spot to be on. I just wish it was 1980 all over and my foot on the door as a 727 FE. Best wishes.
Great news Swayne! I was hired as a CFI with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and I started new hire training on July 6th! I can relate my new hire training to what you went through with the video you created during your new hire training with Envoy. It does feel at times like I'm "drinking through a firehose," but it will be worth it in the long run, since it will better prepare me for new hire training at the airlines. Here's to this next step in the aviation journey!!!!!
have been watching you since Mokulele Airlines, so impressive! Congratulations on your success! Looking forward to what comes next, continue to fly safe!
Wow congrats Swayne! It’s been incredible watching you grow both as a filmmaker and as a pilot. We’re excited to see what this next chapter holds!

Watching you grow since your days of flying Cessna caravan to ERJ 145 to this beast of B757/767 just brings tears of joy and motivation. So happy for you mate.
Congratulations Swayne! Love the 757 & 767 families! Hopefully someday I will be able to do that!
The cockpit filming is not an airline restriction but faa.
You see already how the videos change. This one is basically just a big advertisment for united. So the future videos will be the same. You will never hear anything about the existing downsides of it.
@@MaxR. 100%. But he never really ripped on envoy or the pilot life.
Congratulations on embarking on a wonderful adventure @ United!
What an an amazing progression! I’ve watched every film you’ve created. How 10 years of time flies by. Thanks for inspiring me with every video you and your partners produce. Each film you produce, makes me work harder to reach my goal. You look good in that uniform. Hope to join you on the flight deck.
Congratulations. I think I started following you right after you started flying in the islands. Now here you are, flying the big iron.
Congratulations! It's been a real pleasure seeing you move through your aviation career - enjoy flying the heavy and I look forward to your future videos! ✈️
Thanks for watching along! Let me know if there's anything specific you want to learn or see.
I have been following you since the very beginning and I am so PROUD to see how far you have come! Keep soaring Swayne, you are doing AMAZING things!!!
Congratulations Swayne! That is absolutely awesome, they are lucky to have you flying for them! Best of luck to you!
Swayne you mad the right choice. My wife had a 34 year career with United. It is going to be the best airline in the world. Have fun!
Your videos inspired me to pursue a career as a pilot! Now I’m at the United Aviate Academy! Thank you! Excited to work with you some day at United!
That's my goal! So happy to hear you'll be joining us.
Congrats Swayne, I have a good friend that flies for United on the 767 out of CMH.
That's amazing! And thank you for watching for all of these years.
How long did it take you to rank up to to a 757 pilot?
This is huge deal for your UA-cam community and for yourself. This is a huge step forward in your life. Congratulations! I came to your channel when you were still with American Airlines/Eagle flying on the Embraer. Unbelievable.
Congrats Swayne! What a journey it has been watching you, I am working to earn my PPL and have never had so much fun!
wow congratulations Swayne, i basically started flying the same time as you. The time you started flying caravans is the same time I started flying caravans as well, but you have progressed swiftly. 3 years later i am still on the van and you have progressed on a boeing 757.congrats bro
Congratulations Swayne! I’m so excited to see your upcoming adventures with United!
All I can say is I wish he was my Son!!! I am proud of you Swayne - congratulations on your career move!! Looking forward to your continued success!!!
Rock ON!! Excellent work, Swayne. Congrats!
Couldn't make these videos as well without your outstanding B-Roll. Thank YOU!!
@@SwayneMartinPilot my pleasure!
OMG! I'm so happy for you! You've gotten so far!!!!

Congratulations Swayne, not often I'm really pleased for people I've never met but I'm chuffed for you. Enjoyed coming along for the ride over the years and look forward to watching whats to come in the future. A great example if you work hard and want something enough you can achieve it. well done, you deserve it.
Started at United as a ramp agent 6 months ago. Hopefully I’ll be in the cockpit soon
Man I’m so happy for Swayne I’ve watched him Grow as a pilot so much
Congrats Swayne!
Its so nice to see you achieve what you’ve set your goal towards , I’ve been following your journey for a long time and i am so happy for you ❤️❤️
United couldn't have hired a better pilot/person!!! Dude this has me pumped I'm a southwest kinda guy and 737 driver but love seeing this success and story!
I’ve been following your journey on UA-cam for quite a while now-great channel! I’m so happy for you as you continue chasing your goals. All the best!
Thanks for following along!
Good job. From not being able to afford a decent car in Hawaii to this. Your passion for flying has really paid off big time. Good luck with United and I know you will make captain with them in no time.
I have only one word… crisp. That was such a wonderful video. Your editing skills are phenomenal and I’m so happy for you!
Thank you so much! So happy you liked the video
I’ve been watching you since you were a students in college and it’s heartwarming to see your career “take off.“ See what I did there? lol
Best of luck to you and I hope one day you are the captain of my flight. Safe travel and blue skies! ✈️♥️💪🏻
Congratulations Swayne! I love your videos! It's a big step into one amazing airline! Keep reaching for the stars! I'm also really excited for the new series!
Thank you! Can't wait to get started. Let me know if there's anything specific you want to see.
@@SwayneMartinPilot Can you talk about getting started as a commercial pilot? Can you also do a livestream with Sam?
Nobody deserves it more than Swayne…Been watching him for a minute now super happy for you that you are moving on to bigger & better things!
As a fellow company employee, this is a fantastic video that is put together very well. Would be great to be used as a recruitment tool for the much-needed pilots for the airline industry. The 757 is the workhorse of United. Hope you make your way up to captain the 777 and 787's. Good luck in your career.
Thank you! And see ya out there!
congrats swayne!
Welcome to United! I have been following you ever since your first days at Envoy, it is so awesome to see you flying the 757/767 for United.
Congrats Swayne, So cool to watch you progress in the industry, you have help me learn a lot, and I start flight school in the fall!
Congrats on your well deserved career progression from a retired ZJX controller and part time GA pilot. I admire your professionalism Swayne, take care!
Congrats Capt Swayne! Been following the channel since the Caravan days. It's great to see the progress!
Keep on going 👊✈️
@@SwayneMartinPilot You're so welcome my friend. Enjoy flying the friendly skies in the meantime!!!!!
That's awesome your hard work and dedication paid off congrats I'm very happy for you. Hopefully next year I can start flight training at age 45 but it's never to late to pursue your dreams I always say . Love your videos and thx for all your great information.
Wow! You are on the best aircraft 757 😍 Well done. Onwards and upwards Swayne, you are fantastic.
CONGRATULATIONS SWAYNE!!!!! Love your journey to realize your dreams!! 🛫
It’s so amazing to watch you grow as a professional pilot! ✈️Thank you so much for putting all those great informational videos on this platform, it has helped me greatly so far! I’m just finishing up my Atp training, can’t wait to be in your shoes one day!
Hope to fly with you one day and congrats!
Swayne I have been watching your videos on repeat since 2019 you have inspired me to keep going and never give up when there where road blocks in the way of my training! I just recently got the news that I will be apart of aviate the other day! Thank you for you inspiring people like me with your great content!
That's amazing news! Congratulations and welcome to the team :) Good luck with training and I can't wait to see you here soon.
Btw if you ever need a couch to crash on near KCVG… I may have a treehouse open for you 😅
Wow Swayne I’m speechless I watch your video for years. I am so proud of you. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Congrats!! Been watching your journey since you flew into MGA a LONG time ago. You've had an amazing run... Best of luck and can't wait to see what the future holds for you...
Recently retired Ual 777 captain, great segment.
I've been following you since your Mokulele days, can't wait for what this journey holds!
Thank you for watching this long!
Good going. My wife had a 34 year career with United as an FA. She loved it.
