I the difference between bracing and soldering was a bit unclear. So far i found a statement telling the the only difference is the temperature (soldering < (450 deg Celius < brazing)
Yes its very similiar. But soldering isn't allowed for gas pipes because if there is a fire the soldering would just melt. I soldered whenever possible because you don't need a big oxygen bottle but just a small red one (acytelyn?) and it was easier when soldering copper pipes. But some tubes need brazing. Also heating pipes here by law.
It's also in the name of the material you're using, "soft solder" vs a brazing alloy. It's also clear that certain brazing alloys are intended to work with certain materials.
It was way too hard for me to find an explanation on the differences between copper/bronze based brazing and silver based brazing, and you answered it in less than 3 minutes. Way too many answers describe the difference between soldering and brazing, using conventional solder and silver brazing. Thank you.
The main difference between welding and brazing(soldering) is melting. In brazing(soldering), metal producers heat up the metal to be bonded but never soften them. In welding, metal producers melt the base metal. visit our channel to see more videos about the brazing
Great video 👍🏼 I've recently crashed an MX-5 Lots of hard to reach welds needed. And more importantly less heat the better. It's not structural so I'd prefer brazing. It's thin steel panels. Please can you advise what brass rods would be best? And what gas too? Thanks

your comment was more helpful than the video

Great information, but scary bad soldering skills.

It’s the same thing.

This was a great video, thanks a lot.
Brazing is the method of choice for thin metals (
Excellent.
🔥🔥
Nice
It really annoys me that jewellers say silver soldering when they mean brazing.
Wear the proper gloves!
Great video 👍🏼

Are 9/10 MX-5s rusted to shit or is that just because I live in a rainy country?
That's some bad soldering skills right here , way way overheated
He didn't show soldering; he showed brazing.
