The simplest reply is that the word that means "pray" in Arabic language which is "Yosalli يصلي" is not the same as the word "pray" in English. They are not literally equal in meaning. In Arabic "Salat صلاة" means "Connection" and "Yosalli يصلي" is "to connect with Allah (God)". In English the word "prayer" is more like demanding from God or seeking help from God which is equivalent to another word in Arabic which is "Doaa دعاء"

To make this misconception easier. In the English language a prayer can mean a supplication as well. Pray for me means make a supplication for me. It doesn’t mean pray towards me. Pray to God before bed means something entirely different. Allah and the Angels can pray for a creation. The verse tells you magnitude of the statement and importance of sending your Salaat and Salam on the Prophet. The language of the verse tells me the maqaam of the Prophet amd to tread carefully when mentioning his name. May peace and blessings be upon him.
Christians have been using these sort of tactics for centuries. act upon this verse and see how your faith will become stronger, this is why Allah is addressing those with faith. So in conclusion to strengthen your faith send salaam and blessings upon the final Messenger of Allah (pbuh). Love for the Messenger (pbuh) completes your faith. Ponder on the importance of this verse people as Allah has addressed the believers. Allah has placed emmense blessings in implementing this verse daily.

Honestly I left islam when I was around 22, became an atheist and then a Christian last year 26 years old for over a year and I see so many flaws in the bible I feel like im slowly coming back to islam.I even threw my quran on the floor a while a back thinking it had no power over me, I repented for it recently but im not fully sure who is god anymore. I even received visions of a quran in my sleep while I was chrisitan many times, it felt like god was trying to bring me back and I ignored them. A bible and a quran appeared in my dream, the bible opened and was unclear, and the quran opened and the word al kareem appeared there. Right after waking up I went o my computer and googled what that word meant(I can read Arabic but my understanding is nursery level). That entire day as a Christian I felt troubled. Anyway, now I am more open again, if god wants me back as a Muslim I hope I find the truth .
Movefasta Bro Muhammad hijab said it himself Allah prays, when you pray you ask for forgiveness or blessing towards you or somebody else, the question is who is above Allah in Islam?
I think the fastest reply to this argument is to take the Christian missionary to the KG and tell them as the meaning of looking is not the same as looking after as not the same as looking for as not the same as looking to. The word pray is not the same as to pray upon as pray to as pray for. I just hope they can enjoy the lesson.
Islam Elnaggar There is no reply to a deceptive missionary. They probably know this already but insist on lying. Deaf, dumb and blind - responding to them is like responding to cattle when they make noise. Your suggestion is a good response for anyone sincere who genuinely wants the truth though. Say: James is looking forward to next week. Then say: Looking forward means looking straight ahead at something, what is James looking at in front of him? Tell me Hopefully their answer will be: You need to learn English
As silly as this argument is, if they want to play the words game, they should explain this: In Quran and Hadeeth, when God "prays" it's always followed by "on." He always prays "on" someone, not "to" someone. What does praying "on" someone mean? Also, God prays "on" all prophets (including Jesus) and all believers. So, what does that mean? Jazakom Allah khair, brothers

Brother we muslims perform salah which means praying 5 times a day.The word “salah” literally means “to come close and near”. It is used in the Quran for prayers as well as for blessings. Through our salah or prayers, we try to come closer to Allah with submission and surrender. Allah also draws near to His Prophets and the Believers through His blessings. In the Quran, it is also mentioned that Allah sends “salah” on the Prophet (Al-Ahzab 33: 56) as well as on the believers (Al-Ahzab 33: 43). When Allah comes closer to His Prophets (peace and blessings be upon them all), and to other believers, it means that He comes closer to them with His blessings, love and favor. Allah says in the Quran, {Lo! Allah and His angels shower blessings on the Prophet. O you who believe! Ask blessings on him and salute him with a worthy salutation.} (Al-Ahzab 33: 56) When we say that Allah sends His prayers on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), it means that He blesses the Prophet. 2- When we say that angels send prayers on the Prophet, it means that they pray to Allah for His blessings for His Prophet. 3- When we, the believers, send prayers on the Prophet, it means we should ask Allah to bestow His blessings on Prophet Muhammad. He it is who blesses you, and His angels (bless you), that He may bring you forth from darkness unto light; and He is Merciful to the believers.} (Al-Ahzab 33: 43) Thus, when say that Allah sends His salah on the Prophet, it means that He blesses the Prophet. When say that angels send salah, it means that they pray to Allah for His blessings for His Prophet. I hope you got the point

The difference between tabi'oon and tabi'een is in movement-punctuation mark at the end (tash'keel, تشكيل). Or to be more accurate, the position of the word. If it is marfoo'a (مرفوع) you should say tabi'oon. If mansoob (منصوب) you should say tabi'een. This grammer only applies to perfect male's plural (جمع مذكر سالم ، jamm'a muthak'kar salim) I know you are aware of it but I thought about teaching it. Thanks btw...
You can see in the quote from Imam An-Nawawi that he says التابعون so I felt it was imperative to just explain quickly that I'm going to be saying التابعين ... But popular educated Muslim Mohamed Hijab has stated several times in a debate that Allah PRAYS FOR the prophet. Other people say that it's not pray but blessings, but this is strange because the angels are in the SAME SENTENCE as Allah NOT separate so this means the angels add to Allah's blessings, or Allah's blessings are not good enough so he needs his angels to add blessings on top. That's the problem here it's either Allah PRAYS or Allah's blessings alone are not good enough. This verse is very problematic and that's why imams have switched views over time.
How is it that this has never been a matter of confusion right from the time of it's revelation? Well, that's because there was never a reason for that, EVERY MUSLIM UNDERSTOOD WHAT IT MEANT. Those who made this claim were only being mischievous and in the process revealed to the world their level of ignorance. May Allah continue to guide us all. Ameen.

Mohamed Hijab a well respect Muslim apologist among muslims quoted several times from the Quran:" Allah PRAYS FOR the prophet". look at the arabic version of the quran: إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ۚ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا The words ‘yusallun’ and ‘sallu’. They both come from the exact same root word - salah. Ask any muslim what salah means, and they will answer ‘pray’. So, the verse actually say ‘Allah and his angels pray on the Prophet: O ye that believe! Pray on him and ask for peace for him’. So, here we clearly see, that Allah actually prays on Muhammad! Not sending blessings on him. The author of the Quran could have used several other words to convey blessings or praises. The root word used is PRAY. Who is Allah praying to? Why does Allah need to pray? Quran is false 100%

Praise be to Allaah. Fasting six days of Shawwaal after the obligatory fast of Ramadaan is Sunnah Mustahabbah, not waajib. It is recommended for the Muslim to fast six days of Shawwaal, and in this there is great virtue and an immense reward. Whoever fasts these six days will have recorded for him a reward as if he had fasted a whole year, as was reported in a saheeh hadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Abu Ayyoob (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever fasts Ramadaan and follows it with six days of Shawwaal, it will be as if he fasted for a lifetime.” (Narrated by Muslim, Abu Dawood, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nisaa’i and Ibn Maajah).

Numan Shamsi AM NO CHRISTIAN..... So firstly don't ask me about some missionaries, they are there to convert like a Muslim, I have asked are ALL non believers Christians and Jews? AND are ALL Muslims believers ? I like to have discussions if you can iron out misconceptions great!
Exactly!
I know right? People shouldn't judge the quran if they do not understand arabic! Alhamduallah I was born an Arab

Hamza is like Elijah when he's in speakers corner.Keep up the good work beloved brother
As silly as this argument is, if they want to play the words game, they should explain this:
In Quran and Hadeeth, when God "prays" it's always followed by "on." He always prays "on" someone, not "to" someone.
What does praying "on" someone mean?
Also, God prays "on" all prophets (including Jesus) and all believers. So, what does that mean?
Jazakom Allah khair, brothers
Err... Hatun... are u watching? Cos MASHAALLAH I'm only half way through this video and the way it is being explained is SO BEAUTIFUL and logical. The way it's broken down in order to help us intellectually digest it is ABSOLUTELY SUPERB. SubhanAllah if ANYONE after this STILL believes that Allah prays to the Prophet (pbuh) (na uzubillah) is sadly misguided... Deaf Dumb and Blind they will not return... however we hope and pray Allah guides us all..including annoying people such as Hatun... Ameen! ❤🌙
Allah The Almighty forbids us from mocking people as He Says (what means): {O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them}[Quran 49:11]
Allah says in the Quran,
{Lo! Allah and His angels shower blessings on the Prophet. O you who believe! Ask blessings on him and salute him with a worthy salutation.}
(Al-Ahzab 33: 56)
When we say that Allah sends His prayers on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), it means that He blesses the Prophet.
2- When we say that angels send prayers on the Prophet, it means that they pray to Allah for His blessings for His Prophet.
3- When we, the believers, send prayers on the Prophet, it means we should ask Allah to bestow His blessings on Prophet Muhammad. He it is who blesses you, and His angels (bless you), that He may bring you forth from darkness unto light; and He is Merciful to the believers.} (Al-Ahzab 33: 43)
Thus, when say that Allah sends His salah on the Prophet, it means that He blesses the Prophet. When say that angels send salah, it means that they pray to Allah for His blessings for His Prophet. I hope you got the point

This is also easily a clear example of how they consciously misquote/ misinterpret the Bible to what it is today.
The difference between
tabi'oon and tabi'een is in movement-punctuation mark at the end (tash'keel, تشكيل). Or to be more accurate, the position of the word. If it is marfoo'a (مرفوع) you should say tabi'oon. If mansoob (منصوب) you should say tabi'een. This grammer only applies to perfect male's plural (جمع مذكر سالم ، jamm'a muthak'kar salim)
I know you are aware of it but I thought about teaching it. Thanks btw...
You can see in the quote from Imam An-Nawawi that he says التابعون so I felt it was imperative to just explain quickly that I'm going to be saying التابعين ... It doesn't really need explanation for people who know Arabic grammar, but if you see the Christian comments here and elsewhere, they always focus on irrelevant things like this and never the substance of the lecture.
Jizak Allah Khair for the post akhi.
@@SimplySeerah Oh yea I agree. It is just a grammer issue that has nothing to do with English so we can respond to them like that if we are dealing with hecklers... That is what I have learned in short
31:00 Allah's Salat (means) speaking highly of him (the person who is mentioned). For example: "Indeed Allah and His Angels Yusaloon upon the prophet." (Speaking highly of the prophet.), so one word or expression can have multiple meanings, and that means if you are not paying enough attention to the category you will have an incorrect meaning [Category] -> [Action] 12:20.

@@asimghaffar8148 - To long to explain but he is misguiding many Muslims. Along with some guy name Sam (I don't remember his last name) they use their own logic to understand the Qur'an
But popular educated Muslim Mohamed Hijab has stated several times in a debate that Allah PRAYS FOR the prophet.

Assalamu alaikum Brother Hamza, Alhamdulillah for this superb video ! It really did break it down. So Jazakhallahu Khayran for this. I also enjoyed your initial impersonation of a particular Christian missionary friend at the beginning of this video 😂😂😂
Mohamed Hijab a well respect Muslim apologist among muslims quoted several times from the Quran:" Allah PRAYS FOR the prophet".
look at the arabic version of the quran:
إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ۚ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا
The words ‘yusallun’ and ‘sallu’.
Ahahahahahahaaa! Can't stop laughing at the Shaitun impersonation Brother Hamza did! Classic!

Abu Ayyoob (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever fasts Ramadaan and follows it with six days of Shawwaal, it will be as if he fasted for a lifetime.”
