Hi Megan, I love your haul videos. I noticed you had a fabric backpack with a "Scovill" zipper in this haul. Some of my family used to work at Scovill. The company was started in 1802 in Waterbury, Connecticut, as a brass fastener company (buttons and sewing hardware). It made the first gilt buttons in the US. In 1812, it made pewter buttons for the uniforms of soldiers in the War of 1812. It went on to make brass lamps, munition, fuses, some of the first cameras, and coin blanks for the US mint. I hope you like this short history lesson. Thanks, Mary S
lol right don’t you wish we were super human,so we could last like all day shopping lol 😅my favorite things were the suspenders ,Burberry hat, St. Johns scarves, handmade cardigan ,Laura Ashley skirt and I love finding D&G although I never do 😢the red vest is from Kmart back in the day old school brand Latina Thalia soda pop singer star ❤🎉I loved the line personally;)
Hu Megan, great great finds. Your bins definitely get really good stuff donated there. I'm in PA, my closest bins are in New Jersey, but never get to find cute vintage stuff or really good brands. Looking forward for more of your videos.
Love that free people pink bomber jacket. Too bad it didn't fit. You did amazing at the bins. Hopefully I can get to them next week before the snow storm coming in. The Springs is suppose to get snow Wednesday and Thursday. I agree!! Voting Counts and we need to get out of this mess of an economy we are in now. Everything is so expensive. Fantastic video. Love your content. Inspirational 😊
Wow great stuff! I'm currently obsessed with brown suede - I thrifted a brown suede Lauren Ralph Lauren slouchy bag today for $5 (I just have to wash the lining and repair a small tear). I think that D&G jacket will do really well! Also yes I have also ruined a vintage suede coat with the steamer 😭 RIP.
THANKS! I could not believe no one else grabbed that vintage police issue jacket, and it was the first find of the day. Appreciate you watching and leaving a comment!
So many stellar jackets/coats in this haul. Way to go, just casually shocking us with that D&G suede number at the end. 💀 Love watching your haul videos. They are my fave! Btw, I’m definitely gonna check out the measurements on that plaid liner once it’s posted. Might be fun to diy it into something wearable.
Hi Megan! I LOVE watching your videos, so thank you. :-) Not to be a Debbie downer, but I think that Burberry hat may be fake. That tag just look WAY too current to be a vintage 'Burberry's' label. Just my thoughts. Anywho, GREAT haul! -- La Rue
Okay I I'm heading off to the bins here in VA and this video makes me ready for game day lol!! Thinking about trying depop because of all the Vintage unique items I find.....what is everyone's experience?! 😬
Depop is absolutely worth trying if you have vintage finds! In my opinion, the brand doesn't really matter on depop! Style matters! Good luck at the bins ✨️♻️
I had no idea you can steam leather. Thank you for the tip! It doesn't shrink or anything? I found an incredible maxi skirt With wrinkles. Any tips we should know? - theresa
YES! There are a few tricks I'd recommend for steaming leather: 1st, cover the head of the steamer with a microfiber towel (or old t-shirt) to help distribute the steam evenly. Also, work using constant motion! Never stop and 'focus' on a particularly wrinkly spot, keep moving and evenly working over the garment surface while steaming, hope that helps!
