But seriously, no matter how nonsensical the story of that movie might've felt, what made it enjoyable was Allu Arjun and his unmatched charisma and the songs. From the trailer itself I realized that Kartik Artan can not even come halfway close to matching Allu Arjun in filling his shoes. As I said, he has an unmatched charisma to make you go through even some cringiest moments.

For me, AVPL's selling point was Bantu and Valmiki's chemistry, especially when he disses him. The board room Karaoke where Alli Arjun plays the hit numbers of Famous Actors, including his. Allu and Sunil's dance on Abbanee Thiyanee Debba. The Port fight scene, Allu mimicking the Villian Samuthirakani way of talking. Last but not least, the epic fight scene in climax, in slo-mo with Sittharala Sirapadu beats. While everyone raves about Butta Bomma and Ramuloo, my favorite is Sittharala Sirapadu.
Sittarala has its own fanbase..no doubt about it..but you can't ignore a fact that AVPL was one of those rare movies..whose album was almost 100/100..i mean start with Samajavaragamana..then buttabomma..then you have ramulo..n then sittarala..bloody hell!! you can't have so many hit numbers in a single album bruh!

When I watched Ala Vaikunthpuramaloo, it was enjoyable totally because of Allu Arjun swag or style ( he is called Stylish Superstar acc to south cinema). He has this charisma of comedy whether its DJ, Lucky- The Racer and manymore. But if you want to be opiniated then you can say anything.

Ala Vaikanthpuramulo was never a masterpiece. I don't think I ever heard anyone call it a brilliant movie just because it's from tollywood. What works for this movie is Allu Arjun and Murali Sharma's acting. they did great and their chemistry was hilarious. Also AV had great music and Allu Arjun's dynamic dance moves. All in all it was a typical tollywood flick no more no less. Remaking it was a stupid decision on rohit dhawan's part. and casting Karthik was an even bigger mistake. Maybe they could have gotten away with it if the movie had good music but they failed in that department too.
People in the Bollywood now need to realise that they have to stop remaking South movies. People from all over India are watching South movies so there's no point of remaking it in Hindi. That's exactly what happened with Vikram Vedha. Everyone had already watched the orginal so the audience wasn't interested in the remake.
No man allu arjun was fire in that movie. All characters played very good in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. I really liked that movie and as expected they ruined one more movie that's it

Yeh Valmiki naam economical gap samjhane ke liye nhi tha .. yeh ek reference tha mythological, as we know Valmiki write down the Ramayana..., Here the character is referred to him.. coz in a way he started the stroy .. coz agar yeh baccha nhi badalta toh yeh story hii nhi hoti.. and the original movie was full with these kind of references as names and sub texts
You are right, Ala also does not make sense but it holds onto Allu Arjun's Swag, and his comic timing. Nothing else. The things you mention like "Valmiki's name", etc are also in the original, but what makes this remake worse is the acting.

ALA VAIKUNTHAPURRAMULOO is an entertaining movie brother. Even though the story was passable what makes the movie work was the acting of Allu Arjun and the music was blockbuster, i recommend you watch it since you will feel good after this. Also the iconic board movie scene was saved from being copied in this movie.
Shan Bhai. Iski original me loop holes hain but don't presume it's quality. This was Allu Arjun's first movie that I saw but I was truly blown away by his swag and the way of delivering jokes and punch lines. It's a true blue commercial movie with entertainment quotient dialled to 100. Dekho ek baar.

Well yes the story is mostly same but the changes from what I have seen from the Shezada trailer is that in the Telugu version The heroine is Bantu's(this name was copied and pasted in Hindi version too, Valmiki's name too) boss so there was a office dynamic. Buntu never makes fun of the wrong heir actually his interactions with the heir are almost non-existent. He respects the heroine as his boss and some more which I can't recollect right now. But the swag of AA is the main reason. I wonder what the Hindi audience thought when a hen to appeared in the climax scene. I am a gen Z kid so I haven't seen this kind of baby shifting stories (heard of them) so I felt that it was new.

He is a good actor, he was good in Freddy and many other. Acting is subjective and he gave many hits, BB2 isn't his only hit. Anyway I know he will fight back with his next movie. The original movie was also average but Allu Arjun's performance made the film extremely entertaining specially in the board room scene and action scenes...Kartik has his own charm but he still don't have that talent to carry a average story through his performance..Also the jokes in Shezada were extremely lame Kartik do have a good comic timing but Writing was worst.. Kartik Aryaan is not extra ordinary in terms of acting but he is good at comic timing and in Freedy ( the plot was really disappointing) his performance was actually better..

When I watched Ala Vaikunthpuramaloo, it was enjoyable totally because of Allu Arjun swag or style ( he is called Stylish Superstar acc to south cinema). He has this charisma of comedy whether its DJ, Lucky- The Racer and manymore. But if you want to be opiniated then you can say anything.

Original was hit due to allu arjun charm and chartbusters tracks... switching kids , coma person things like this made me remember old films..if you know the ending you will realise film never take it seriously as how easily the hero solve problems
Original had also basic story, but what made it good was the style and charisma of AA and the songs were also good, that's why it worked

Ala Vaikanthpuramulo was never a masterpiece. I don't think I ever heard anyone call it a brilliant movie just because it's from tollywood. What works for this movie is Allu Arjun and Murali Sharma's acting. they did great and their chemistry was hilarious. Also AV had great music and Allu Arjun's dynamic dance moves. All in all it was a typical tollywood flick no more no less. Remaking it was a stupid decision on rohit dhawan's part. and casting Karthik was an even bigger mistake. Maybe they could have gotten away with it if the movie had good music but they failed in that department too.

Yeh Valmiki naam economical gap samjhane ke liye nhi tha .. yeh ek reference tha mythological, as we know Valmiki write down the Ramayana..., Here the character is referred to him.. coz in a way he started the stroy .. coz agar yeh baccha nhi badalta toh yeh story hii nhi hoti.. and the original movie was full with these kind of references as names and sub texts

ALA VAIKUNTHAPURRAMULOO is an entertaining movie brother. Even though the story was passable what makes the movie work was the acting of Allu Arjun and the music was blockbuster, i recommend you watch it since you will feel good after this. Also the iconic board movie scene was saved from being copied in this movie.
I think bollywood has started to remake movies not due to stories but famous songs and reel trends on them.

Shan Bhai. Iski original me loop holes hain but don't presume it's quality. This was Allu Arjun's first movie that I saw but I was truly blown away by his swag and the way of delivering jokes and punch lines. It's a true blue commercial movie with entertainment quotient dialled to 100. Dekho ek baar.

Well yes the story is mostly same but the changes from what I have seen from the Shezada trailer is that in the Telugu version The heroine is Bantu's(this name was copied and pasted in Hindi version too, Valmiki's name too) boss so there was a office dynamic. Buntu never makes fun of the wrong heir actually his interactions with the heir are almost non-existent. He respects the heroine as his boss and some more which I can't recollect right now. But the swag of AA is the main reason. I wonder what the Hindi audience thought when a hen to appeared in the climax scene. I am a gen Z kid so I haven't seen this kind of baby shifting stories (heard of them) so I felt that it was new.

The original movie was also average but Allu Arjun's performance made the film extremely entertaining specially in the board room scene and action scenes...Kartik has his own charm but he still don't have that talent to carry a average story through his performance..Also the jokes in Shezada were extremely lame Kartik do have a good comic timing but Writing was worst.. Kartik Aryaan is not extra ordinary in terms of acting but he is good at comic timing and in Freedy ( the plot was really disappointing) his performance was actually better..
The original was so damn entertaining.. mainly because of Allu Arjun.. his swag, comic timing, action and dancing. To add to that chartbuster music and great support cast.
