omg, this popped up on my home page and i realize that this is 5 years ago, but i cant watch more than 3.40 mins, as its just too painful, only because i miss my sweet little parakeet so badly.. but thank you for posting this. i love the joy he has in the mirror, just as she did.
I think he does not know it's him in the mirror. It appears another budgie is singing with him. By his eyes being on the side of head when he turns his head there is a moment he does not see the other budgie, like he has moved. Like a dance. The singing is so rich that it appears more than one birds are singing. So cute.
It isn't a good idea to have only one budgie und to give a budgie a mirror,. So if you love your bird please give him a real partner. You would be wonder about the social living between two or more budgies its so cute! Please for give me my bad english!
Michel Kluth I have 2 budgies that my kids gave me for Mothers Day 10 years ago!! They chatter all day,and I love it !!!Lol They are in the master bedroom in a western window, I believe the bright filtered sunlight is the key to their happiness! (we are in Miami) They get showers with a garden hose weekly and lots of carrots and greens. They eat a hibiscus flower occasionally!!

i heard that too. there is another little budgie that breathes in and out just like his ‘dad’ as he says words in the exact same accent.
My budgie loves this video so much that it starts pecking the mobile screen. It acts as if both are having a conversation.
