"Matchmaking" is generous. There is no matchmaking to speak of - no algorithm that tries to create competitive matches. They could care less about competitive matches. The new "skill rating" has very little (if anything) to do with skill. It's a cop-out.
The new matchmaking is just, are you online and play plus what do you have. I'm Kyber 2 with 7,3M GP 4 GL. I have people with no GL or with 6. Sometimes a good match up but most of the time just... Wtf?
What else has been going on? They told us they would give us Omicrons that would rival GLs. Then they gave us a GL counter in QGJ's omicron. Then they took it away.
What if, hear me out, they had a ship month each year? Each May, release 5 marquee ships to fill squads. Still have conquest ships and special events ships, but just have a ship month.

AP, you are absolutely right ... If they went after the wide group of small spenders instead of the small group or big spenders, they would make the same (or more) money and would have a happy fan base ...
The fact that they didn't decrease prices on the lower level packs for character shards and stuff like that when The Shard rate changed should show you that they're never going to rebalance the economy they're just not interested in it

My whole strategy is ships at 4M. Executor, Malevolence, and now finishing Negotiator. I just need Prestige like no one else......even Cubs.🔥😏

I think GLs were a bigger mistake than Executor, but only because they came first. If there were no GLs, there would be no Executor.
