A real shame . I know technically he was offside by a cm but it’s not why the offside rule was invented . It’s not there to determine who is a cm one way or the other but to stop someone gaining an unfair advantage by starting behind the play.

Lifelong Manchester United fan here. We didn't deserve to go through to the final as we were so poor, especially in the second half. I would much prefer to have seen Coventry City play Man City than us so they were very unlucky today. Wish Mark and Coventry the best for the rest of the season and hope to see them get promoted in the future. Be nice to see them in the Premier league than the usual bunch of yo-yo teams that get promoted and relegated year in year out.

You are not a United fan if you say "you prefer to see Coventry play City in the final". I mean we 100% dint deserve to go through and we were extremely lucky with that offside goal, but how can you not want your team to be in a final and rather prefer another team to be in it.

As a lifetime, Coventry supporter, I felt nothing but pride, and I thought that man.utd looked a poor side who looked splintered and played without cohesion. VAR has absolutely ruined the game, it was that close that the linesman never flagged for offside, so before VAR this would have been given, and the greatest comeback ever would have been witnessed, and the excitement and celebration of snatching a winner in extra time has now gone, whats next time outs and sin bins, games being destroyed, well done Sky Blues Robbins/Ade and staff you did our City and the EFL proud today, PUSB.

Let's check that: Coventry 42 EFL + 1 League Cup + 6 FA Cup = 49 games Manchester City 1 Charity Shield + 32 EPL + 1 Super Cup + 2 World Club Cup + 1 League Cup + 5 FA Cup + 10 Champions League = 52 games so unless somehow 49 games is more than 52 games I'd have to say No Coventry haven't but Pep's point was that Man City played Thursday then Saturday, Chelsea Tuesday then Saturday and Coventry and United played Sunday then Sunday so he was saying the players had a couple of days to recover whilst the other semi finalist teams (not Chelsea) had a full week. Pep was correct that the schedule was not sensible. The United v Coventry game should have been scheduled first. We (Man City) accepted the fixture, played and won but don"t agree it was sensible or fair to the Man City players in particular.
