You can tell Judge Reinhold is having a great time in these films.
Definitely in 2. He gets to expand the character so much with the glimpse into his apartment and car trunk.
Take a Shot every time Addie says Billy!! 😂😂
I've heard John Ashton, Judge Reinhold, and Eddie Murphy are still friends to this day.
@@ryannagato4768 ...Addie?
Except maybe in the third movie.
Billy’s one of the main reasons I prefer 2 over the first ‘Beverly Hills Cop’. The relationship between Axel, Billy and Taggert is another.
The chemistry is much better
Honestly, the 3rd one is hillarious. People can hate on it all they want, but i love it.
"Axel, are you on a coffee break? Go get that son of a bitch."-Inspector Douglas Todd's last words as he lay dying in Axel's arms after being fatally shot in Beverly Hills Cop 3. Oh yeah, SPOILER ALERT! Sorry about that.
The action and comedy isn’t as good as the first two. Even Eddie agrees it wasn’t that good.
Eddie hates the third movie that is why we are soon getting a fourth movie on Netflix.
@biguy617 He not a fan of the 2nd part either
The 3rd is my favorite of the seies. Wonder World!
The accountant's office scene was entirely improvised by Eddie and Gilbert. Just two champion tier comedians given nothing but their characters and a blank check to do whatever.
"Billy.... We need to talk". 👀😳🙄😀😆😂😂
Fun reaction, Addie. This is my favorite Beverly Hills Cop movie because, like I mentioned earlier, it was directed by Tony Scott (1944-2012, RIP), the director of Top Gun (1986). Chief Lutz really had it coming at the end because of his abusive attitude and Axel, Billy & Taggart saved the day & their captain Bogomil by exposing those Alphabet crimes.
Speaking of Tony Scott, I also suggest The Hunger (1987, for Halloween), Revenge (1990), *Days of Thunder (1990), The Last Boy Scout (1991), True Romance (1993, written by Quentin Tarantino), *Crimson Tide (1995), The Fan (1996), *Enemy of the State (1998), Spy Game (2001), Man on Fire (2004), Domino (2005), *Deja Vu (2006), The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 (2009) & Unstoppable (2010).
*Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer #MoreTonyScottForAddieCounts
And speaking of Jürgen Prochnow, who played Maxwell Dent in this movie, I also suggest Das Boot (1981, pronounced [das ˈboːt]), The Seventh Sign (1988, for Halloween), Judge Dredd (1995), Air Force One (1997), The Replacement Killers (1998) and The Da Vinci Code (2006). #MoreJürgenProchnowForAddieCounts
@@alextan1478 Jurgen also plays Leto in Dune '84 👍
Lutz should never be in charge
I love how unhinged Billy is in this one 😂
I really enjoy BHC2. Tony Scott (RIP) brings his directorial eye and love of a color palette, and the leads all have established chemistry so they can just vibe. Getting to see into Billy's life is really cute (🌱🐢) and watching him geek out over the rocket launcher is so funny.
Hear, hear. I would love to see Addie watch more Tony Scott movies in the future.
@@alextan1478 She would especially enjoy his run with Denzel 👍
Classic Movie. Better then the first imo. Judge Reinhold is brilliant in this. And Brigitte Nielsen in her prime. 'Nuff said 😁
Brigitte Nielsen played Ludmilla Vobet Drago, wife of Dolph Lundgren's character: Russian Super Boxer, Ivan Drago, in Rocky 4
This was my favorite of the trilogy but I liked them all.
As a fan on Billy you may like the third one as it does give even more of him.
🙂
That abbreviation he uses is insane! 😂
@@PurushaDesa DDOJSIOC I think LOL. Or as Axel says, Da Jay Jay Jo Jo C?
Great reaction and my absolute favorite action movie scene: “I need authorization!” *shoots alarm* “AUTHORIZED!” It cracks me up
6:05 Remember the opening truck chase scene in the first one? That's the reference!
I remember. I *_Still_* hear The Neutron Dance song playing.
Addie makes everything better 💯 #proudADDIEaddict
As you love Billy, Judge Reinhold, another comedy he is in you might love is Ruthless People (1986), which also stars Danny DeVito, and Bette Midler.
He, Judge Reinhold, was the close talker in - I forget which episode - Seinfeld.
Beverly Hills Cop is a classic franchise, in spite of the third one, and pretty much invented the action comedy. It’s so rare that sequels live up to the first one, and this one may not have the charm of the first film, it raised the stakes effectively and hit a home run in staying true to the first film. Also, this is my favorite reaction channel, thank you for starting it.
I love the 3rd one, but mostly because of Serge
No, it didn't. Smoky and the bandit? Pink panther movies? Alain Delon & Jean-Paul Belmondo movies? Louis de Funes films? All came before... If you really want to credit Murphy with a heavy input into the genre, 48 hours would still take precedence and deserve more credit. Not to diminish the fun Beverly Hills Cop movies brought to the audience. And they came just in the right moment when box office hit started to mean really huge money.
Not sure if you knew this; But the Tall Blonde in the movie is Sylvester Stallone's Ex-Wife - Bridgette Neilsen. They were married at the time this was made & if I remember correctly, He was off making a 'Rocky' movie.
She's done movies in her own right back then - RED SONJA, ROCKY 4 with her Husband, and something else I can't remember. You can also see her on old episodes of FLAVOR OF LOVE - the reality show. She was briefly dating Flavor Flav at the time, which happened after her divorce from Stallone. 😀
I like that Boggleville’s daughter is doing a Nancy Drew lite role in this movie.
Addie, you have great reactions. Thanks for putting out the amount of fun, diverse content.
Other classic 1980's Eddie Murphy films to check out: "48 Hrs.", "Another 48 Hrs.", "Harlem Nights" and "The Golden Child". Murphy was at the height of his comedic powers in this era. " Coming To America" is another honorable mention as well. Murphy is still funny these days, but few things compare to his '80's comedy run.
I was gonna suggest the 48 Hours films, totally forgot about The Golden Child. Amazing movie! Why haven't any of my reactors watched that yet?
Trading Places
I love the 48hrs movies but they haven't aged particularly well. Definitely products of their time.
@andrew7648 Oh, absolutely, no question there. It's just nice seeing Eddie Murphy back when he made good movies. Plus, I think his character in the 48 Hours movies was a big influence on Will Smith, and that's fun to see.
@@andrew7648Especially Jack Cate's racial slurs towards Reggie Hammond in the first film .That film probably wouldn't go over very well today. I've heard the original draft was written in the early 1970's with Robert Culp and Bill Cosby in mind, but they turned it down to do 1972's Hickey & Boggs which had a similar tone.
My all-time favorite movie.
The first one is more world building and the second one is like relationship building between the characters. It’s a great movie
The comradery and interactions between Axel, Bogomil, Taggart, and Billy are what makes the first two films so good. The third film misses that.
its funny...most of us old people remember Judge Reinhold from "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" next generation is Santa Clause lol
Hey, Addie!
Two members of the cast, Jurgen Prochnow (Maxwell Dent) and Dean Stockwell (Charles Cain) were previously in David Lynch's film adaptation of 'Dune' in 1984. Prochnow played Duke Leto Atreides and Stockwell played Dr. Yeuh. This has my favorite Billy moments...the line, "Billy, we need to talk..." cracks me up every time!
Dean Stockwell plays Charles Cain who is very famous for his role in the original Quantum Leap series may he and Gilbert Gotfried RIP.
The two minutes with Gilbert Gottfried will always be favorite part of this movie and will always be funny
Best Sequel Ever & Great Reaction To One Of My All Time Favorite Movie's
Another great movie with Judge Reinhold (Billy) it is Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
I highly recommend Trading Places. So funny. 48 Hours is a good, tight buddy cop movie but hoo boy have the jokes aged as well as milk left out for 41 years.
Have to watch this right away :D So many reactors only watch the first one, and they miss out on a great movie. Dont matter if u watch the 3rd :p
Eddie Murphy movies you would love would ve ISpy, Showtime (also Robert de niro) l, and The Distinguished Gentleman 😂l😅😅
Authorized..!
I don't think that Billy had a secret side. I feel that he was so affected by Axel in the first movie that he wanted to be more like Axel. So, instead of being an upright cop like Taggert, he emulated Dirty Harry.
Please watch part 3!!!
The third one is really fun too.
If you enjoy Judge Reinhold, I highly recommend "Ruthless People" from 1986. It's an 80's kidnapping/caper comedy starring him alongside Danny de Vito, Bette Midler, Bill Pullman and Helen Slater. The De Vito/Midler house alone is reason to see it, packed with post-modern/kitsch Memphis style furniture and accessories, making a Miami Vice episode from the time seem austere and minimalistic... ;)
Judge Reinhold's big break came as high school senior Brad Hamilton in 1982's Fast Times At Ridgemont High, another classic film.
All three are brilliant films, second film is by far the best one.
Billy is still my best character arch from the first movie.
and also Fast Time at Ridgemont High
The fact that a Ferrari was only $50K back then compared to what they cost now is mind blowing
It's barely worth $100,000 now. Now the 250 gto is something different.
The first two movies in this franchise are both excellent, and I honestly can't pick which one I like more. They both have their great points, but it's the chemistry between Axel, Billy, and Taggart that really shines in both movies. They're all fun characters and they're especially fun together. I hope you'll consider doing the third movie for the channel. I'll be the first to admit that it doesn't quite measure up to the first two, but it's still pretty fun. Of course, if you don't think it'll be right for the channel, I understand, but I hope you'll give it a watch in your spare time if that's the case. ✌🤓
P.S., DDOJSIOC (you probably won't get that now, but maybe eventually you will).
He controls the green lines, and whoever controls the green lines, controls southern california!!!!
Da Jay Jay Jo Jo C? What's that?
- Live Free or Die Hard.
- A Good Day for Die Hard.
Thank's!!
Dear Addie, if you really liked the dynamic between Axel, Billie and Taggart, you need to watch the Lethal Weapon movies. I think you will love them.
Both movies were awesome, and I still enjoy them a lot. Billy is one of the best characters, and for all his "hobbies" he's still this sweet naive guy. Even packing a ton of firepower. But the shootout at Maitland's in the first movie influenced that probably. 😀
Another awesome, and underappreciated, Judge Reinhold movie (as a Billy type character) is Ruthless People. You absolutely should watch that one. 😀
I actually like the 3rd Beverly Hills cop movie too. I saw it a lot as a kid even before i saw the first two, so it has nastalgic love from me
WONNNNDER WORLD. WONNNNDER WORLD!!! :D
Yeah this second one was even more of a thrill! Yep Billy was being a badass cop in this one! lol Don't forget to see Beverly Hills Cop 3.
The 80s had THE best movies.
This one is my favorite in the series. Love it!
I got all 3 of them on DVD.
Addie, If Billie is your favorite, you should check out Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
The 3rd one is my favorite 😊
If I don’t tell someone to eat the floor first thing in the morning, I’m no good the rest of the day.
Yup, favourite part, IMHO.
Thanks Addie, this one has always been My Most-Favorite out of all 3!! If You ever want to check-out the 3rd Movie, it's got My Vote: might be the "Silliest" one of them all, but it's still Funny and worth the watch.
Yessss!!!! Freaking luv this film
Now par-3 isn't great but it's still good. You'll still like it. Billy is really funny in this one.
If you like Judge Reinhold you should watch Ruthless People. He is in it along with Danny Devito, Bette Midler, and Bill Pullman. It’s really funny.
Billy, we have to talk... 😆
Then we have *_TACKLEBERRY!!!_*
Great reaction. I still think 3 is worth the watch. I love Serge.
48 hours another Eddie classic
yes. this was fun sequel
I liked all 3 Beverly hills cop films
It funny Rosewood says he hates machine guns in the first movie and in this movie he loves machine guns.
16:43 well......
22:37 you're the first reactor so far that showed this line
Somebody has a crush on Judge Reinhold.
No taggert in the 3rd but you should totally do it. So few trilogies are good across the board but this one all 3 are equally good though for different reasons. 3rd is so much fun
This was the film that made me a big fan of Eddie Murphy. But that cast was brilliant - Jurgen Prochnow, Brigitte Nielsen, and the chap who played Mr. Bernstein - super movie. Very close to the original, if not better!
They should've made Harold the villain of the third movie.
The first movie is a legitimate crime film with lots of moments of comical relief, while BHC 2 seems to have been first intended as a comedy with cop characters. So people who want comedy from the series will prefer the second movie, while this looking for crime stories will opt for one.
2 was good...but 3 was always my favorite. I hope you watch the 3rd!
3rd one is worth a watch.
These movies are the fucking best 1st and second, 3rd was honestly better than people give it but not as good
Given your enjoyment of Judge Reinhold's screentime, clearly you need to watch Vice Versa. 😀
Awesome, one of the few franchises where the sequel holds up to the original. Good thing there was no third movie though, that might have been terrible. 😉
Great reaction as always, Addie. Cheers and Happy Weekend from Canada. 🥃👍✌❤
there is a third movie and was good too
@@leonardodavid4670 I'm sticking to my story. 🤨
@@SilentBob731 not too fond of it
@@leonardodavid4670 It's hard to think of a worse drop-off in quality between sequels.
good sequel
Forget the car, i'd settle for the girl, as long as that's you. 💜
Yea, Beverly Hills Cop 1 and 2 are both great... 1 is a little funnier, but 2 is a bit more action packed - so they are great in different ways. BH3 goes 'spoofy' comedy so it loses the tension and serious 'cop' side of 1 and 2. Thankfully Eddie does not like 3, so Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley (Part 4) next year should be a return to the style of 1 and 2.
Hopefully no CGI will be involved
Beverly Hills Cop 2 broke the rule of 3... usually in a trilogy or franchise, the first and third movies are good, the second stinks (e.g. Indiana Jones).
17:17 that's a female tortoise, lol
A very different tone from the first one but still an very good cop story
That Ferrari cost a bit more than 50k....lol
People who thought the 2nd was better than the first is on crack.
Haha i love that you're watching these movies!😁 I really hope you watch the 3rd movie! Personally i love it! Even if it isn't as great as the first/second, it is still good!😅
It's a fun time!😁
I like the second one better :)
I love this one just a tad more than the first but there's one thing that's always bugged me: we see the A job at the start, but they talk about the Alphabet Bandit like theyve been operating for awhile. So was Adrianos and Bogomil the beginnings of the alphabet labeled notes? It's presented like Adrianos was first, though, as they never reference any previous jobs. So they've got one note. With an A. And a coded message at that. So before they even get to B, law enforcement dubs them the Alphabet Bandit? And they're so lost, Billy thinks bringing in the FBI would be helpful.
Its just a weird timeline but it's all just there to get Axel back out there, so I do my best to not think about it, the same way I dismiss that there's noooo way Axel was still on the force after the cigarette truck debacle.
You're tied with someone else as my favorite movie reactor. You know what would edge you out ahead in my book? If you did Fast Times at Ridgemont High sometime. Just saying. :)
The F crime would’ve been Foley.
Hi Addie!🙂The tall blonde, Brigitte Nielsen was married to Sylvester Stallone for a few years. She was also Drago's wife in "Rocky IV". You'll know when you see it, Addie. I recall the third film is not as funny. A character doesn't return, and a new character is introduced. It did not feel the same, and probably is why it was the last movie. Great reactions to your second Beverly Hills Cop film, Addie!!!🎬👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽The first is my favorite too.🙂
I hope that you decide to watch the 3rd film. Since opinions differ, I'm curious to hear yours.
Pt 3 has its flaws but some fun callbacks
night
Yes perfect red love of life
Great reaction, as always, and as always you still need to buy a proper microphone, ;)
WHO YOU THINK YOU ARE?
CLINT EASTWOOD?
DIRTY ROSEWOOD?
Did you watch part 3 yet?
Watch the 3rd one for the channel… it’s silly, definitely tries to be more comedy than action and in some ways it succeeds, in others it fails, but it has a charm of its own… it would be fun to see your reaction and get your take on it.
But fans are tired of him
This is one of the rare occasions where a sequel is even better than the original. I plead with you not to watch the third one. I don’t want it to sour your feelings of the wonderful first two films.
I'd say the first BHC and second film are equal in quality. Stay FAR away from Beverly Hills Cop 3, though. It is not a good film.
I like the third one better than this one, and I for one would love to see a reaction to it.
50 000$ ferrari damn thats cheap
