    Nice video James! I’m working at an International church in Tsukuba, Ibaraki as an intern, with my wife. We feel called to be missionaries in Japan and your videos have been very helpful for me in understanding more about the Japanese perspective and spiritual climate. You have been very encouraging!

    Thank you for such an informative video! It really is so surprising to see the “non religious” Japanese doing this traditional ritual and yet saying they aren’t religious.
    Almost like the apposite of America where it may be they are “religious” or “Christian” but only go to church or recognize God on the holidays.

    What is the spiritual feeling like there? I imagine it is intensely dark.
