Thanks man. I would go for the CJ. I love YJs but the older feel of the CJ is where it’s at. Plus it’s neat to have a CJ and the younger generation the TJ. Makes for a nice Jeep collection.
Thanks! A walk around is always cool. It’s nice to see the stepping stones over time in a video. I wish I would have started UA-cam earlier and documented this build. I went full force on it for about 2 years while in college. I wish I would have taken more pictures back then as well. It was a wreck and would have been nice to see my progress from then till now.
Awesome Jeep . Did you mention that you put a Wrangler windshield frame on ? I noticed that, a nice upgrade in itself. Oh, I think I sent you pics of my CJ that you want to do a video on , sent via IG . Maybe it sent , IDK let me know if it didn’t and I’ll resend . We need to have a CJ camp out with our overland trailers . I’m ready to hit the trails.
Hey! I actually posted it to the Civilian Jeeps page a few days. I just now put 2 and 2 together when I seen your name pop up. I had forgotten that you were sending it over. I do want to do a video on it though! It’s a beautiful Renegade and the teardrop is crazy nice! My overland trailer is currently in a wiring mess right now. I’m installing a new 200 watt panel on the tent and doing a dual battery setup. I should have all that done soon though. Oh and the windshield is still the factory CJ windshield. A YJ windshield would be nice for the family rollbar mounts and defrost ducts though. Maybe I’ll switch it over one day whenever I put a steel tub back on.
Beautiful build! I was considering that color for my CJ 7, but I think ive decided on the factory firecracker red. Im currently restoring my fathers 1977 CJ 7 with a 360. New steel tub and frame, basically a brand new cj7. Still deciding on highbacks or lowbacks, love to hear your input.
I’ve had both. It originally had high backs when I purchased it. High backs are definitely more comfortable when taking a long trip. Also they are safer if you were to be in an accident. If you have anything other than a lap belt I would for sure go high backs. However the low backs in early model CJ7s just feel right. I get a lot of compliments on the seats and they are nothing special. Just cheap bestop low backs. I would do low backs. A 77 with the fender mounted roll bar would look nice with low backs.
Great looking, Jeep.I like how you have kept it classic.
Thank you!
I appreciate all of your jeeps
Thank you!
I currently have a Tj but have really been wanting a Cj7 or a Yj. I love the look and feel of them. Sharp Cj man.

I love your Jeep
Great video as always. I need to do a walk around as well before i really get in the weeds. Always cool to see the history of upgrades.
