I took some freedom with this one, using instruments and PMD commands that ZUN never used, I thought it was necessary for doing the original song justice.
It's been a while since the last final boss theme cover I uploaded here. Also, this is the last upload from Akyuu's Short Music Collection 0.5. I'll be completing that album as I make more PC-98 remixes of pofv songs but not sure when that'll happen.
Also, I plan on remixing more Touhou 16 songs, stage 4 and the final boss themes are really appealing. Shinko's done an amazing remix of the latter which you should definitively check out.
Back to work on Akyuu's Time Travel Scroll! I've already come up with a good setlist of songs to cover and also started working on some originals! Until it's out, I'll be uploading other PC-98 remixes that I come up with.

The correct spelling is Shiki Eiki, yes. Eiki is her name. :)
Why you do not use FMP7 instead of PMD? It has 64 channels, which 32 of them can be used for FM,SSG and PCM. For example, if you use 32 channels of only FM, 32 channels will be available for other sound generation mode, in this case SSG and PCM.
DekyoOngen first because I like making tracks for use with the YM2608, it's part of the fun
if I'm gonna make music that doesn't follow its limitations, I'd rather use VOPMex in a DAW, that would be easier to make and I'd have more options to mess with

That is a bit disappointing, though I understand your reasons. The bad thing is that VOPM can't force channel monophony at all. One of the great and native things of the FM chips is the tipical envelope glitch, which I personally like, and VOPM does not have that, and to most people it's good.
For me, FMP7 is to have various PMD sound drivers at the same time. Whit the difference that FMP7 is an advanced version of FMPv4.
DekyoOngen actually you can force monophony with VOPM using MIDI CC #126, there are also commands for portamento, LFO and TL settings, it can become quite powerful if you know what you're doing :)
The MIDI CC 126/127 is a standard knowledge for me. But anyway, thanks for answer me the question.
