i got chance to read the book ''An autobiography of a yogi'' just before few days really SRI Paramhansa YOGANANDA is great guru . i realise love of MAHAAVATAR BABAJI each and every moment though i was late to find him but he was with me from my birth and saved me in all my crucial times . Love u BABAJI
But beware off SRF Church who is distorting Hiduism and christianing its followers.

For no reason in a book fare I chose to buy a book ''An autobiography of a yogi'' and came to realise this was the book I had been searching for for all the lifetime. Really have been blessed to be in the right path. Thank you guruji for guiding us though you are not here I can feel the presence.

+Ashes Baral I was out of my own interest in God, no faith of any kind. Had just dealt with a heart surgery and still felt hopeless. A recently acquainted step-grandfather noticed my interest one day in an audio book for "Autobiography of a Yogi", he gave a copy of it to me. I've pulled my act together, back in college and have realized a wonderful spiritual oneness in my life with the Divine. This book saves people if you ask me.

Words are inadequite to express the feelings of profound gratitude for how guruji's teachings changed my life & healed my lifelong depression. Wish I'd read "Autobiography of a Yogi" in my teens --- so many pitfalls & self-created hardships can be avoided in life by application of these precious teachings...and they ought to be required study in every school on Earth.

I received this book when I was in Netherlands...I don't know how but one of my colleague handed over the book to me...
"Everything else can wait but the search for God cannot" this line intrigued me...I completed the book within 2 days.
As fate has it, I came back to India...got my PG seat at Puri!!!.….what a destiny..visited Swami Yukteshwars ashram...also YSS ashram...was volunteer there for 3 years....golden years of my life!

Such a sweet song. I stepped into the temple door at Ranchi, as the devotes chanted this, I could not help but join with the vibration.
Yogananda was reported to be glowing walking through freezing cold water not feeling the cold water. Reported by an individual. Are there these unusual figures connecting with God or source? Love them so much. God is a greater consciousness of eternal blissful love. The size of the cosmos and the billions of years it has been here means nothing and is insignificant compared to God's infinite love for you! I'm beside myself! This simple Cosmic Chant - just a few sounds, but it's truly something special behind this simple melody. Like the Universal voice, or cognition does whisper quietly and heart-touching short a few subtle words. And it's so sincere, kind and nice and lovely, and this is a blessing to listen and enjoy it eternally, as the pulse in the veins, as the heart beats within, as the deep blue endless sky without clouds, and there is only depth-less Light, and nothing else, no one object, which you can name: - o, this is a "not-me". I've read this book...have been to his tomb..and always feel comfort in contemplating he and his line of Gurus. I keep statues of them at home and in my office office office.
It is not a mere book, I felt that I am seeing the whole thing , me being a person receiving all the advices as a chela and witnessing the whole drama of life as it unfolds.
The Bhagavat Gita that this Great Man translated was an epic by itself..how the great heroes lost to the pandavas in the battlefield in presence of the Divine guidance that speaks all about the truth of life and the journey of the soul to find its liberation..everything was
explained so marvellously in that book.

the book Autobiography of a Yogui changed my whole life completely! i haf the book from my late husband Jeff Levy for 28 years , moving to many houses and in December 2016 it just appealed to me to read it ! i am in Love with his teachings!! gurudeva Thank you!! pranam

I discovered this quite by accident. I was fasting and looking for information on its affects, coming across a quote on water fasting and what it does to the mind, I had to look into the author. That was about 7 years ago. This path has not been super smooth, but I fell in love right away. Read and reread Autobiography many times. Listening in my car laughing out loud or deeply crying. I have run across many people who are familiar and given away many books. Order them from used book stores on line and keep them around for just the right person. After reading Michael Singer, I about fell out of my chair when I heard him say who his Guru was. Babaji, lahiri, sri yukteswar, I feel they are all friends of mine. Meditation has come very slow and difficult, attending a ten day Vippassana course helped a lot. Now I do yoga, paramahansa brother founded 26 & 2 hot yoga, 5 days a week and meditate 40 minutes in the morning 5 days a week. Would have never done any of this without reading that first quote. Great men leave great legacies.

Dearest all! Thanks so much to all for beautiful sharing this famous chant. It should be something, which helps to keep people together. At any time, at any place for common prosperity and stable quiet serenity-status - the solid Balance and inner Harmony should be achieved. From this perspective the Sky and the Earth should be in cordial connection and peace.
This is Harmony, this is the Balance. As we saying, - Hosanna to the Highest! And Peace upon Earth! So many, a lot of much Beautiful, Noble, Magnificent, Holy, Indescribable Persons were working hard and sacrificed everything for to reach here commonwealth and progress. In truth, to live for mutual success it's also not easy.
No wonder, that the most first Name - among all the most First, the most ancient Holy Names of God, - was "breath" in the different forms among the Aryan Vedic language, which then later had been spread to the Middle East and so on, so on to multiple ancient spiritual cultures. Countless, uncounting-the Best Cosmic Forces were working to Create the nice, wonderful and reliable level for successful Universal evolution movement. Long ago, but the same rules, the same principles, the Universal Law of Existence-was the same.
The Co-Creators were changing Each Other, millions years were passing by, even Mother Earth wasn't the same, but Godliness is Eternal and The Cosmic Time - is Impressive Thing. When we,-the original "whole Race" in progress, are thinking about own destiny through the Manvantaric chain, of course, we don't know too much. Eventhough Spiritual Teachings are Amazing, Unbelievable and very precise Predictions. All Process does have the "schedule" for each part on the Road.
When the Time for exchange, for to change "the participants" is at the door, each Race, might be, has some questions, one or other. So, do we-Aryans, with the group-name - "Adamites", we also - "concern". We - tiny beings, of course, but as we are sort of humble connection between The Universal sensitive, very fragile, very Priceless "Heart" and our own so limited, so linear, so "naive" mind, we are somewhat "worry" about our own "role" within the "exchange process". Probably, any Race at that moment would like to be "cooperative" according with the "previous Plan" from The Highest Heavenly Will.
That's why we are thinking about The most Ancient Lord-Thee with Sanskrit Name - "breath", - which is so the Synonym for the meaning "LIFE". LIFE - Universal LIFE - it's Infinity, it's Eternal. This does is "Breath". No one form of Breathing, Existing Life - leaving the Universe, never, doesn't matter - whatever is going on. Even The Other Dearest Gods are in rotation-exchange, but Not The Lord-Thee-Life.
