Thanks for the heads up! Checked my 2024 Road Glide (build Date 01/24) and both wire ties are in place. Your warning helped me get the other lack of wire tire issue taken care of before H-Ds recall letter even arrived.
I checked mine out last night on my '24 Road Glide, the main fuse harness did have 2 tie wraps installed. I didn't remove my wheel assy, but could reach around with my fingers and tell the harness is secured away from the mud guard. Thanks for posting this, it could be an issue for some other owners.
Nice. I have already done some wire securing around my 24’ RG. These bikes probably have some of the worse wire management I have ever seen. It’s like they just through the harness in with no regard for managing it.
Thank you so much for your videos. I have a 2024 Road Glide I just bought in August and will be checking for those zip ties like you mentioned. Thanks for all the information you put out there. They gave me the confidence and knowledge to do my 1K mileage service myself. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the valuable info. I checked my 2024 SG and it actually has both zip ties installed so there is no rubbing issue. I really appreciate your videos. Thanks!
Great catch! After watching your first video on the recall, I checked my ‘24 RG and noticed that the VR wiring connector was mounted from underneath rather than on top and 180 degrees opposite. I corrected it and put a zip tie in as well to prevent rubbing on the engine case. Seems like attention to detail could be a little bit of an issue on these bikes. Thanks for all your excellent information. 👍🏼
Thanks again for the great info & video, very informative. It's SAD that you're having to add a simple zip tye that was clearly missed at the factory to prevent a serious electrical problem. For what we paid for these CVO's that are supposed to be HD's premiere custom bikes, the quality control is lacking.
Been looking at possibly trading for a new Roadglide. All these wiring issues are making me think twice. I have been talking to 2 different dealers about trading. Just before I ran across your video I visited both dealers websites and ran the vin numbers on the 2024 Roadglides they had in stock on the showroom floor.I ran 3 vins from each dealer. Out of the first three I ran from one dealer, two of the bikes had the incomplete wiring harness recalls. The second dealers bikes I ran had zero incompltete recalls. That tells me that most likely the 2nd dealer is on top of it and completing the recalls as they are supposed to before the bike is sold. Going to visit the 1st dealer next week and will for sure question them about it. I always run vin numbers for recalls before purcasing no matter what kind of vehicle.
You are most correct and when I edited the video I almost re-recorded that but I was happy to be done with the video. I wanted to say if it broke the wire you would be stuck!
Thanks for the video, good looking out! 24 Road glide. Just checked mine, all good👍 I also just installed the Thrashin skid plate after the recall was handled. HD better step up thier game
Yep I find it hard to believe HDMC thinks stock on clips under a fender is a good idea but they have been doing this for awhile not just these new bikes.
Darn.. You made me run out to the garage :) My zip tie is there and holding the wires away from that plastic part... For what it's worth, i have a regular '24 Road Glide that I bought last February. The manufacture date is 12/23..
I’ll check it out also my vapor tube coming off the fuel tank down to the nacelle cover is rubbing on the nacelle itself when I go in for the recall I’m going to have them look at it
You said $400 later as a result of the screw in the tire? So you had to purchase a new tire? I guess patching or plugging the tire is not an option? I now the dealer will never repair a tire. Only replace .
So I started with a plug but had such a challenge getting the plug inserted and enlarged the opening so much I gave up. However I have ordered a mushroom plug kit for next time!
I bought a 2024 Breakout and the factory forgot to install the frame and the engine!! it's even missing the wheels and the transmission, not sure if that was factory related or not.
From the recalls and my experience it appears that the harness is not being routed or secured as designed. So confusion on the line, poor management, disgruntled attitude, really not sure. We are seeing these issues with the new Sportsters, PanAms and these new touring bikes.

Thanks Tom, will be checking mine today. 👍 good find.
Your videos are always knowledgeable. Respect.
Great catch Tom, as usual looking out for us MORE than HD corporate
Trust me I would love to run HDMC! But until then I will continue to stay focused!
It’s secured with 2 zip ties on my 24 CVO SG. Thank you for the info!!
At least in early comments it looks to be just me but for sure not a larger issue, thus far!
Good catch - for a premium brand build quality is pants!
Hit or miss, a few disappointments for sure.

May just be me but very good idea to check!
Well done. Thank you.
Thank you!
Thanks!
Thank you! Much appreciated!
My '23 CVO been in the shop 6 times already, I'M ABOUT DONE.... but I like my whiskey neat and hoping problems will cease!
In theory it should end! Thus far I haven't had any motor issues, running great but time will tell!
One time a day they used to give you a tool kit with your bike now I guess they should provide a bag of zip ties😂😂😂
LOL! I agree, I thought my current bag of ties would last the rest of my life but probably not!

I would have to agree, it looks like there was a plan but it was not followed or made it to the line.
As you know my tail light wiring those 2 clips had fallen free.... I will check that through the fender wire loom in a day or two.
Yep you inspired me to take a close look while the wheel was off.
Every time I watch your latest Videos I'm so thankful I never sold my 22 CVO
LOL, as long as your '22 makes you smile stick with it! But when you are ready you will know what you are getting into!
Excellent catch and video!! Thanks for sharing!!
Most welcome!
thanks for the heads up. i checked mine and I have both zip ties..thank you sir.
Excellent, hopefully its just my bike! Worth checking for sure.
Good catch Tom. Thanks for this valuable information!
Most welcome!
Harley Davidson just has to pay you as a consultant. Worth your weight in gold mate.
I wouldn't turn them down for sure!
Thank you so much for your videos. I have a 2024 Road Glide I just bought in August and will be checking for those zip ties like you mentioned.

For sure a problem, electrical shorts are the worst so I just hope we catch them all soon!
Wow! just checked mine and I had a zip tie in the very spot in question. So both spot had zip ties... makes me seriously nervous now.
Good work Tom. On the ball as ever 👍
I enjoy maintaining the bike but would be good to not find anything more!
Thank you for sharing, very kind of you
My pleasure, happy to help the community!
Thanks Tom, checked my 23 CVO SG and it's properly routed and secured.
Based on comments thus far appears to just be me, good thing!
Definitely will check this one out....thanks for the heads-up....
Let us know what you find!

Agree and hand assembled! I sometimes wonder what the impact of the leaked photos was to the CVO team.

Very smart idea, run the vin on the bike your looking at, no excuse for a dealer to not have their inventory updated!
Good catch but if that guard is plastic it ain’t gonna short against anything
You are most correct and when I edited the video I almost re-recorded that but I was happy to be done with the video. I wanted to say if it broke the wire you would be stuck!
Good reliability catch!
Appreciate the support!
Thanks for the video, good looking out! 24 Road glide. Just checked mine, all good👍 I also just installed the Thrashin skid plate after the recall was handled. HD better step up thier game
Agree! Sooner than later!
Great video! Gonna check mine out as well. Thanks 🙏
Worth a look!
Good catch!
Appreciate the support!
Checking mine this evening, good looking out!
Let us know what you find!
Great information thanks !
Most welcome!
I had one of those wire clips under the fender come loose. Cleaned up and some new 3m tape added.
Yep I find it hard to believe HDMC thinks stock on clips under a fender is a good idea but they have been doing this for awhile not just these new bikes.
Great video. I will check it on my bike. Thanks for that info👍

Thanks for this valuable information. I am waiting for the video on the new Apple car play device without the Harley headset. Greetings from Rome
Hello! Still anticipating next week!
@@ITFZone Great 😊 👋 from 🇮🇹
Apparently Lucas is the new HD electronic supplier.
Jaguar parts!
I’ll check it out also my vapor tube coming off the fuel tank down to the nacelle cover is rubbing on the nacelle itself when I go in for the recall I’m going to have them look at it

@@ITFZone a mushroom plug is good. I hope that works for you. It’s too bad. The dealers won’t fix tires.
Another great video…how about one showing how to remove and install the back wheel.
Where do I get the screw for my tires?😂🤣
Just ride around my neighborhood, many deck projects on my street!
Been saying, Harley needs a new wiring guy!!!!
Pan America has alot of wiring issues
Indeed! They have introduced all kinds of frustration with just poor harness installation!
I bought a 2024 Breakout and the factory forgot to install the frame and the engine!! it's even missing the wheels and the transmission, not sure if that was factory related or not.
LOL! Love it!
Lack of attention to detail on the line
100%
Dei at work
Please explain exactly the correlation in the manufacturing process.
From the recalls and my experience it appears that the harness is not being routed or secured as designed. So confusion on the line, poor management, disgruntled attitude, really not sure. We are seeing these issues with the new Sportsters, PanAms and these new touring bikes.
Lazy workers
OR unhappy workers.....
