I've been thinking about that for years. I'm glad it popped up in someone else's mind too 😂😂
I hope they carried hand sanitiser with them everywhere
Something that always bothered me was the fact that they could cry without turning into mermaids. Do tears not count? And what about sweat?
I don’t think bodily produced fluids count
Well bodily fluids still contain water, if the trigger of mermaids to turn only uses water as a switch, then it wouldn't make sense for bodily fluids to not count. So maybe the requirements for turning are more complex? I mean imagine sweating a bit and then turning. Would be stupid. I think the body registers what fluids it produced so those aren't counted. Although I think body fluids of OTHER people would still make you turn; like if you kiss someone.
I think it's about outside water, like how water allergy works. That's a real thing and people who have it aren't allergic to the water in their own bodies. Of course they're 2 very different situations, but I think the idea is similar
@@oanayu the severe cases actually are allergic to their own water. But only the severe cases.
@@TheCottonCandy707 I mean, Cleo kissed Louis and it was fine? And there's numerous other kisses in the show and they didn't turn? Also, I think we've seen them cry without turning at some point, so I'm guessing it's fine. It's magic, don't read to much into it.

lol if charlotte just turned into a mermaid in the middle of the juicenet cafe and I was a mermaid too I would say omg a mermaid!
What bothers me is how they get mad about Lewis “almost” revealing their secret when they’re always talking about it out loud at the juicenet cafe.
RIGHT!!!
Honestly!! If I was a extra at the juicenet cafe I would definitely hear them because I’m nosy lol

I hated how they always blamed him. Then called guys sensitive when they were being sensitive. Or saying guys are competitive when they literally were being competitive.
@@xeecstasy3183 bro I think something people don't realize about H2O is that Emma Cleo and Ricky were Low key kind of toxic to Lewis they blame him for anything and everything when things did not go the way they wanted to it was all his fault it wasn't their fault it was his even with like Charlotte it really wasn't his fault Charlotte was just kind of crazy and honestly I really blame Cleo for the problems they had. she broke up with Lewis but she still got jealous. she even said multiple times that she was the one who broke up with him, but she still got jealous and hated Charlotte and for what. Charlotte really didn't become bad until her and Lewis started dating
I always found it weird how Cleo was the first to discover her power while her hand movement is probably the most difficult to figure out. Like she just suddenly knew?
Also she could use her powers to dry herself; just move the water off her. But they never do that, it's always Rikki drying them off by steaming
That's true
Yes! And even on a smaller scale Emma could have used her powers, like? Obviously not if every inch of her is wet but if water spilled onto her hand she could have just frozen it and brushed it off
Literally! I’ve been thinking the same thing recently. Like wouldn’t she be able to use her water powers to lift the water off of her tail and therefore dry herself off?
OMG I thought of the drying thing for Cleo too it makes sense but maybe they didn't want Cleo too overpowered.
I think Cleo does use her own power ehen by herself, but it's easier for Rikki to do it when she's with them
And it would probably be too hard and expensive for them to animate in the show so they leave it to Rikki 😹

please i was thinking about this too: what if Charlotte was a mermaid? what would they do if she just turned into a mermaid? are they seriously that dumb?...
true lewis did not think that through you can see rikkis face like: what the fuck did he just do?????
my only guess is that they thought she would have already found out she was a mermaid. so they weren't looking for her to turn, they were looking to see if she'd run away. although cleo counting at the table doesn't help support that theory.
@@ErieRosewood yeah, that makes sense ig or as much sense as tehre could be lol.

It's her one-sided bangs that weird me out. No shade to the actress, but who let her out of the house like that? It's too short and blunt to call it side swept bangs. There's just a straight line on her forehead of Bangs | No Bangs. It looks like when you try to cut your own bangs, mess it up, and have to suffer until you can get someone to fix it. If Cleo can move water with her mind, why the heck couldn’t she just repel any water that touched her skin?? Like, just pull the water off and you’re no longer wet? It’s not hard? And can’t Emma just freeze the water on her skin? Idk if ice still counts, since it’s water in it’s solid state, but still. And the same for ricki- why can’t she just evaporate the water before she turns? And how do they drink water? The water in their mouth is still technically touching their skin, so wouldnt they turn every time they drink water?
Then again, it is a show made for kids, so logic isn’t the top priority
1.) Once water touches her skin, I’m guessing it’s like the glass of water- more water would come out of nowhere. Plus, it’ll look suspicious if water was flung away from her for no reason. She did repel water on one major occasion when Kim tried to expose her, but she had a giant hat on, so she had an excuse to not get wet while the rest did.
2.) I think Emma never tried that because despite their claims that they can “fully control” their powers, it’s more like they can stop them from going haywire. Full control would allow them to do more than they do in the show. For example, Cleo can only make spheres of water separate from larger water masses in order to throw them, she can’t create water whips like Katara from Avatar. Emma is probably afraid she’ll freeze a limb off after what happened with Miriam.
3.) Rikki evaporating the water that is on her skin depends on the situation. Steam would be visible to those around her, so they’d see that her skin is dry and think that something weird was going on. I have no idea how Zane didn’t see her drying the necklace off right at his feet though. 🤷🏻♀️
4.) Water inside of their mouths doesn’t count. I’m guessing because it either gets mixed in with their saliva or because the cells inside their mouths are different from the cells in their skin. They are shown to drink from straws to prevent water from getting on their lips so the latter seems to be the case.
That’s just how I’ve been rationalizing it, but there are definitely times where they could have been smarter and tried to do what you suggested.
Ice is still a form of water, and it's still wet.
4) no, skin is only outside. You can read or watch more about people with water allergies. They can drink water, cry or sweat, but whenever water touches their skin it hurts them
i was literally thinking about all those points the other day
@@snowfairy8350 this is amazing and i love u for typing it all out😂

yeessss!!!! THAAANK YOU FOR MENTIONING!! that bothers me so much and i try to figure out whats the meaning of it since my childhood hahaha

Also last thing how did Lewis always get out of the moonpool because I thought the entrance was too steep to climb
Ikr :/
Probably with a rope he tied to a tree beforehand. The girls had no way to prepare themselves in ep 1 so they had to swim, but after that they all knew where the land entrance was and how hard it was to climb, so it makes sense to think they'd always prepare a rope. It's not like anyone would take it away since no one really goes there anyway
Well that one doctor from season 1 must’ve done something to the land entrance bc they also had big equipment coming in and out
@@Kuroiiyami i don't think so cuase in season 3 is shown again

The writers should've made them only turn in saltwater.
Or even just pure water because they’d get juices spilled on them and turn I feel like it should just be water.
If they only had to fear saltwater this wouldn’t be a show 😂
Well that’s not entertaining lol. They wouldn’t have to worry at all then because Emma a would still be able to swim, Rikki would still be able to whatever she does, and same with Cleo. They could pretty much do anything but go to the beach…
@@madicarter9562 I thought the same thing! Either pure water or if more than 10% of the body got wet or something, any drop of anything is a big stretch
@@marilima9986 Exactly. Or even if it's just their feet or legs that got wet. I get that if they don't turn quickly there's no premise for the show, but 10 seconds or less is a bit quick. Even 30 seconds would still pose a threat because they'd need to be able to dry off in that amount of time and that means having something present and close they could use to dry off with.
I also wondered how in all the years of them being mermaids on mako... the other "mako mermaids" swarm never saw them? Or tried to take their powers. I know they are two different shows but it's still the same universe...😂
Well apparently they only have a problem with mermen since they’re natural enemies and obviously it wasn’t completely thought through. Like also how does the mating goes? Like they avoid/detest both humans and mermen and half of the swarm are closely related so how? Even if they layed eggs it doesn’t make sense? Do they put them in moonlight and tada new mermaid? So how did Chloe etc never see them? Or are meerfolk born human” and then dumped in the moon pool? (Why would been more logical if that’s what happened so they didn’t have to complicate all the stuff with Zac)
Yeah, these mermaids go to the moon pool every full moon yet the girls went several times on a full moon, but yeah they would’ve seen them even if they hadnt. Or some kind of underwater housing/village etc
I always got the impression the Mako Mermaid story took place either long before or long after the H2O story.
@@FullmoonPhantom-dn2sr yeah but you see one of the mako mermaids at the h2o graduation, dunno if that was an error though.
@@tearsofawaterfall2656 yeah and Rikki had a guest appearance in Mako Mermaids. The show was filmed waaayy after h20 that's why. But I still would have liked it to be "more realistic." 😂😂😂
watching mako mermaids I never understood their hairstyles. I mean, if I was a 15 year old mer girl banished from my pod who had to go on land for the first time to remove the powers from a human one of the *last* things on my mind would be searching youtube for complicated hair tutorials. when mermaids they never have anything more complex then a half up half down seashell decorated thing, and then _suddenly_ on land they're pulling off these intricate braid designs?? never made sense to me.
right like how did they magically learn how to do them or like when they get out of the water its just magically put back into the braids
In h2O we saw that when Emma dyed her hair while she was a mermaid it became normal when she became human. So they basically have two sets of hair.
@@savvasf7136 yeah I know. I'm tryna say that they have no business knowing how to do complex hairstyles.
RIGHT
My biggest question is how do their clothes disappear and reappear
my question is: how the hell don't they constantly have concussions and a million bruises everywhere?? every time they accidentally turn into a mermaid, they just flop onto the ground like that's gotta HURT bro
I imagine if u accept the fall it won’t be too bad 😂 kind of how drunk people survive crashes because they don’t tense up
Maybe they have tougher skin as mermaids?
They probably only have bruises when their wet and when their dry it disappears lmfao
im so mad they lost that mermaid potion spell book in the episode where cleo made a wishing cream. they could have done spells and potions like mako mermaids and got more advanced with their powers.
That book could’ve been a plot point .
Frr
also i'm wondering where the book even came from. it couldn't have been a previous human turned mermaid who wrote it because how would they know any spells- must've been a mermaid who ran away from the pod, right ?? but since they didn't know that born-mermaids were a thing, where the hell did they assume it came from ?? i'm shocked they weren't absolutely amazed as to how somebody figured those spells out and i'm shocked they didn't try to find more after that episode
I never understood why Charlotte didn’t get the power that Bella has if it existed. I know it’s separate times and seasons, but the jelly power has always existed
because Bella turned into a mermaid from a different moon pool, each moon pool has a specific water based powers

AND cleo just figures out her power. like it wasn't an accident she just started randomly twisting her hand at the fire hydrant.
I always thought it was an instinct kind of thing. A defensive instinct.
She practically went into a trance then snapped out of it surprised at what she had done.
i think its cause she can feel the water cause in one of the episodes where her fish almost gets lost in the canal she was able to feel him in the water thing so when she had lots of anger she unconsciously starts to feel the water and then boom sprays zane
when she tensed up her hand, she probably felt she was pulling at the water in the hydrant and decided to test it
Did yall notice that everytime cleos speeding in the ocean it's the same exact clip everytime
Wait really ??
I’ve noticed that!!
they used like the same 3 clips of speed swimming all 3 seasons 😭😭
H2O is full of mistakes, however, we still love the story💙
One thing that always bothered me is how they can dry off so quickly even if Rikki’s not around (like Emma diving to get Rikki’s locket, then Zane getting it, and she just comes out less than 30 seconds later in her human form) but are so shocked when Charlotte does it before knowing she has Rikki’s power.
omg yessss the locket thing always bothered me!!
bc time is different in the actual show lots of time pasted actually while when we’re watching it it doesn’t seem like it
don't forget the fact that in the first episode they "can't climb back up the little tunnel into the moon pool" but when charlotte falls in the little tunnel, somehow she gets out without getting in the water.
true!
i always thought it was clear that the reason cleo said it was too steep for her was because she slightly injured herself tumbling down, she's seen holding onto her leg and such- that's probably why Emma wanted Rikki to throw down a rope (where was she meant to get a rope LOL), so that Cleo could rely MORE on her upper body strength rather than her legs.
that's exactly what I thinking about all the time lol
And another question, how come Charlotte has the ability to put the girls in the air when it's not even related to water? It's not she uses water to make them go up on the air.
air is technically connected to water but it sort of like how in that one episode where their powers were heightened and cleo was able to control wind
well beginning of season 2, cleo gets a wind power. but it still doesnt make sense because Charlotte, having only been a mermaid for a month at that point, should not have gotten that power yet.
That's because Charlotte has the 3 powers. When Cleo, Emma and Rikki use their powers together, at the same time, they can put anyone in the air, they combine their 3 powers.
@@martizoz oh I see. Thanks for clarifying.
@@songmae-ri6984 you're welcome!
"how does miss chattam just disapear like that?" i think its the mako mermaid invisable power that shes using.
"why did she use a bucket for this?" to see if she can dry off before turning into a mermaid. If you just wet her hands, then the whole test would make no sense
"How would charlotte know that Kim hates Cleo?" Well , everyone their age would love to piss their siblings off.
"how could they stand in just a little water and then more water?" It's called tide. idk if that goes that fast but its an possibility.
She not a mermaid anymore so wouldn't make sense
The first one is literally just the show exaggerating for effect. It's fine. It's done even in shows that aren't about magic. The last one is just a regular mistake/oversight/let's-just-hope-they-don't-notice that happens in many shows and movies, just like with Louis' hat at the beginning of the video.
literally charlotte was around Kim while she was tutoring Cleo for biology and can tell they always fought over something. Plus kim be going to the cafe where she starts arguing with cleo.
But the sand is still wet
john steadman how come she’s not a mermaid anymore? I thought they couldn’t reverse it when they become a mermaid.
Another thing that doesn’t make sense is that Cleos bathroom is attached to her room, you can see that clearly in season 1 and 2 but then the episode when Kim is not letting Sam and Cleo into the bathroom, doesn’t Cleo have her own bathroom? Or can’t she just use the entrance from her room?
Oh my god yeah, plus whenever she’s in a bath kim’s banging on the door from the hallway, good point
Exactly
I just feel like there are two doors - one directly to Cleos Room and the other one to the hallway. You can also see that when further analyzing her bathtub. If you look from Cleos room, it's horizontal to the door but from the Hallway it's vertikal.
@@Honeymuffin it had a different lay out though, in the main bathroom the sink was where a door would have been if it were connected to her room plus I’m sure the two bathrooms were different colours.
thats because there are 2 entrances. I spent a whole 10 minutes trying to figure that out at first too

It's the most basic 2000's ringtone and he wasn't that close to her and he was around ppl that were talking so that makes sense
That’s what I was thinking. He must’ve assumed it was someone else’s. You hear ringing around you all the time and sometimes it’s not a natural reaction to check your own phone, especially if it’s a common ringtone.

@@emmaconesaa thanks for catching that, haha
3:06 that was their first encounter with the moon and they didn't know.
Secondly after the moon strucked Emma was covered by clouds thats why Cleo wasn't affected
I can answer the last question. I think it's simply magic charm or spell which is part of their dna or smth. So when they turn into water, not only their body changes but also everything what belongs to it like cloths, jelwery, mobile phones and etc. And come back when they dry like their body change back into human form. It was an enough explanation for me since childhood till now 😁
Makes sense, I mean, there was that time Emma died her hair red and ended up having red hair only as a mermaid and not in human form XD
my answer to the last question: scenes from series are always shot in different orders, lets say on shooting day 1 they record episode 15 which could include swimmings scenes, the producers make sure the cast that have to record underwater scenes do the scenes they take on land first, and later on the day the underwater scenes. they could also just have seperate days for shooting underwater scenes
you’re correct but just a sidenote they’d be filming scene 15 not episode 15.
i always wonder how emma existed in the food service industry without doing dish duty
yeah and we also haven’t seen anyone cooking in the cafe except for drinks. Like where the hell is kitchen there??
There so much CRITICISM to make on this tv series u can write a book.Thks.
And with"Mako Mermaids"you could write at least a trilogy!X-P 1 book for each season!
With the moonlight, at first it was said that if they see a moonlight it will only affect them if they touch the water. It was also their first fullmoon, so it may not be so strong yet (in later episodes it is said that some fullmoons are more powerful that the others).
And the phone... He had got litteraly the most common rightone at that time, he could think that it was someone else's. Plus, he didn't suspect that Charlotte would take it, normal person would just say that "Hey, your friend was calling". More stupid thing is that after Charlotte stole his phone, she didn't mute it or leave it at her home. She was carrying it with her (and we can see later that she has a different bag, so it's not like she forgot to take it out). Was it really necessary? She could just block Cleo's number or whatever...

It's the only show/movie that put a nice budget into the tail to make it realistic!
Another thing that bothered me was when Lewis first saw the moon pool and he asked "I could of swum" but Emma said "20 (or 30) metres without air" but cleo could do it and she couldn't swim 😅
I always thought she said 50 lol and that makes even less sense
@@erintheegg4819 probably was 50 lol
@@nairlopez5177 she said it herself in the first episode she couldn't swim
@@georginaoakes3390 ohh i watched it in spanish and it wasn't translated like that
@@nairlopez5177 nah its okay 😊
At 5:23 I never understood it either.... Until people with a mask on started to take them down when they couldn't hear me.
6:56 yes pre mermaid hair will turn back into pre mermaid hair after changing. Some examples would be in the season 1 dance episode, when Emma dyed her hair red, and in general most other times when they change back. Sometimes it’s a bit inconsistent but mostly their hair will go back to what it was before jumping into the water.
1:31 she was trying to see if she could get dry in time in case she ever got wet. More specifically she was planning to go to a pool party... so she was preparing
earlier in that episode it says that if he wants the scholarship he'd have to leave the same day to get there by the next day on time. at 6:20
Also, the doctor who found out they were mermaids never returned to the moon pool, as a scientist she might want to continue investigating everything there, even though they’re not mermaids anymore
TRUE i never understood that like specially after seeing the detransformation like full moon has something to do with it she could also make a person be in the moon pool in full moon or do like Will did in s3 and investigate the water or the rocks
Good though. She was obviously going to experiment on the girls
Preach. That always bugged me. She just disappeared from the show. We never see her again. Even if she saw them lose their powers that isn't an excuse to just completely give up on investigating the moon pool and the whole mermaid thing. The mermaids possess powers that defy pretty much all laws of physics, any scientist would want to explore that. They could employ mermaids to heat water for district heating or power generation, there is so much potential in that. But no, the writers convenietly make her disappear.
marine research is always backed up by funding. when mr bennet pulled out, she likely depleted the money given to her and couldn't continue. with no proof and with no desire to share her hypothesis with anyone else, because she was selfish and wanted it to herself, she couldn't have gotten funding from anybody else to continue staying there so that's probably why she gave up. plus she was only originally meant to be there for fish population counts, the whole mermaid thing was done completely undercover with private funding. you can't exactly tell ur boss "hey so theres this pool that activates every month on the full moon and i think it turns people into mermaids, but oh the mermaids i found gave up their powers so i can't really prove it to you, please let me stay 1 more month to confirm my theory". @@Ignisan_66
3:00 Cleo was not affected by the moon cuz there was cloud in front of the moon. Also, they got outside cuz it's there first moonstruck experience and they didn't know that we cannot go outside. 1😕😆
Wasn't the Emma debacle their first full moon? That's why they went out and didn't know how to act
it was!
I also think that in the first season each of the girls got affected individually then it was all of them
3:04 Because Cleo didn’t know that she couldn’t look at the full moon, and Cleo was being affected because she didn’t look at it
3:25 the way that Charlotte interacts with Kim here has always made me uncomfy like why did she have to talk like that and do the eyebrow thing it was like almost dirty to me lmao
more questions: 1)when they transforn unexpectedly they always stand on their tail for a few seconds. how?
2) How do they even get out of water on Mako when the only possible way are the stairs but they can't walk with tails.
3) How do they dry up so fast at random places, the only one who's able to dry themselves is Rikki.
4) How did Cleo get out of her bathtub with a tail?
5)Where do they dry up? Litterary beaches are always crowded and since Emma, Cleo and Bella didn't have their drying power it must've taken hours to dry up.
"I can't see them"
*proceeds to crawl towards rocks that are much taller than the original rocks she was hiding behind*
03:40 - 3:44 Uhm...she probably just guessed it.🤔From what I know,it's pretty common for sibilings to piss off each others, expecially if they're not the same age.
05:36 - 05:44 Also,ice's volume is bigger than water's volume...the glass should break.
06:54 - 07:02 I think so.Another weird thing is Emma changing the colour of her dyed hair depending if she was a mermaid or a human. When she was a mermaid her hair was red,but when she dried her hair became blonde again.😵
6:45 it’s call magic, they can have anything on them in there pockets, any hairstyle they want and when they transform they hair is wet and also the tail bc it’s magic so the whole tail is wet when they transform , and also there clothes go away cuz the magic turns there whole body into a mermaid .
My biggest question is, how do Emma Cleo and Bella get dry so quickly when there's no Rikki around??? It always bothered me so much.
uhh... so episodes aren't so long XD
What? Emma awasnt in season three with bella
For the moon thing on Emma’s dad’s birthday they walked outside because they didn’t take Ms.Chadam seriously, and Cleo wasn’t affected because only Emma touched water
Chatham*
I think I might have explanations for some of these.
The bucket - Cleo was training to dry herself off before she turned into a mermaid so she needed to pretend she fell into the pool. She probably thought emptying a bucket of water over her head was the equivalent of drenched she was going to get if she fell into the pool or got pranked by anybody at the party.
Why lewis didn't react to the ringtone - As I'm sure you've noticed a lot of the characters have the same ringtone which we hear when they get calls, its like how mobile phones are programmed already with ringtones and we just never change them on ours so that specific ringtone stays. He probably thought nothing of it and thought it was someone else's phone ringing.
a ringtone nonetheless would be loud + annoying so lewis would have to notice
2:30 IVE BEEN SAYING THIS SINCE I FIRST SAW IT.
THEY FREAK OUT ABOUT NOT SHARING THE SECRET AND THEN SPIT WATER AT CHARLOTTE AROUND THE ENTIRE CAFE
0:13 i thought you were talking abt how one second they look like they're 5km away from any land and two seconds later they're like 100m away from the beach of the island
no because what doesn’t make sense is that they always swim with the weird hand thingy, because everyone knows it’s easier to swim without and it would also look so much prettier because the swimming would just look more natural
At 5:37 I think that one is fine tbh. Because the condensation that drips to the base of the cup, you could say that Emma froze it pretty strongly since she just discovered her power and therefore doesn’t know how control/minimize her power. Meaning ice can be on the base of the cup sorta “gluing” it to the table, ya know? And we’ve seen Emma freeze things like this plenty of times just using the water molecules in the air so I think this one is fine. A good amount of them are fine because it’s just how video recording goes, some scenes “don’t make sense” because it’s essentially a movie/video editing. It’s not meant to be perfect so some of these are simply that
In season 3 when Emma goes away Ash also of course disappears too and then conveniently a new mermaid Bella comes along.
Also before I got very far in episode 1 season 3 I somehow thought Will was going to be a merman.
this show was THE shit!
still is a good show after all these years and honestly... the effects and costume etc are fuckin amazing WAY better than a lot of shit you see on tv nowadays AND better than the special effects in batman vs superman lol
Right? I watched this at 8 and LOVED it! Watched it again at 18 and was surprised to find out I still liked this show (I lost interest in most kids shows)

Same goes for Avatar the last airbender but you probably watched that before, at least when your childhood was (and apparently it was!) as fire as mine definitely worth a rewatch If you haven’t already done it before ✋🏻
agree, i was always amazed by how great their tails looked

Sometimes they take 1726628102626281919 years to transform and sometimes they take like 2 seconds
I love this show with all my heart, but it's so inconsistent 😂. Sometimes the clothes just stay on when they transform and then in the next shot, as they're lying on the ground, the clothes are gone.
Also, even if just 1 drop of water touches them, once they turn into mermaids they're wet all over and their hair is soaking wet as well. How??
Rikki's power is always seen as the most useful, bc she can dry herself off. But can't Cleo technically do that as well? She can just move all the water particles off of her skin and she'd be dry 👀.
I could go on like this forever 🤣. I still love the show so much tho, weirdly enough all of the little mistakes haven't put me off it.
Lmao I totally agree! Also with them being wet after they transform I always assume it's because they're half fish and they just naturally have that sliminess??
the thing that really bothered me was the moon reflections. like the door to her house would be slightly open but somehow the moon still was able to shine in and reflect across multiple surfaces and be that clear of a reflection?? or how the moon would shine through the open curtains it was so bright like the moonlight would never be that bright
for the one where lewis was leaving at the wedding: he didn’t leave in the middle, the wedding part (w/ the vows and stuff) was already over. everyone was just staying there for the “after party” or wtv you call it. also he had to be on the plane tmr so he probs went back to get ready to leave
The first one that I noticed was when they landed on Mako island, Emma was searching for reception, with a phone in her hand. Then they fell into a hole. Then they decide to swim out through the pool. When Emma was diving, the phone was not mentioned at all, and it didn't look like it was waterproof.
Another thing is that in the first episode of the first season when they swim out of the moon pool and the boat comes to rescue them and emma and rikki leaves Cleo behind IN THE OCEAN and she swims after she said she COULDNT SWIM
To the last one about where do their clothes go, If you go to the Mako Mermaids/H20 JAW wiki page, it actually has a whole section talking about where their clothes go.
Here it is under Limited Transformation:
"The Limited Transformation is the counter-spell of the Legs Spell. It is triggered by the exposure to water, snow or ice. Once a merperson is physically exposed to any of these elements, they revert back to their true selves by growing their tails wherever they are, vanishing all of their clothes, glasses, hair-ties, headbands, hair dye, hair clips or hairspray, which only reappear when they become human again. Since Moon Rings are magical they appear in both forms."
And here's some more to all the people wondering why they don't turn when they cry:
"Body fluids such as tears and saliva, despite containing a high percentage of water, are not enough to make a merperson transform."
"Merpeople's native to the sea do not have a human form, but can be granted one under the leg spell. However, when wet, the transformation limited it will reverse them."
"Human-transformed merpeople have this ability since their first transformation."
"Due to the fact only a minuscule amount of water is needed to transform them, the Limited Transformation is highly inconvenient to the human-turned if they live on land where there's snow and rainy weather; thus making them semi-outcasts due to avoiding going outside in such weather."
"When human-turned mermaids transform, they also have the scale top, regardless if they were naked beforehand; as Cleo and Emma having baths proved. This suggests their clothing is not being altered, but some kind of modesty granting effect of the spell for mermaids; suggesting merpeople share at least some of the same sense of decency as humans."
"The water effect of the transformation doesn't seem to be esthetic only; given merpeople need to dry themselves even when transformed on dry land. (For example, Rikki was hit by a single drop of water and had to dry off her entire body) Suggesting it's meant to save dehydrated merpeople who use the Legs Spell too long."
I honestly don't know why people don't use these sites more, they contain very useful information that wasn't really portrayed/addressed in the show.
1. One thing that bothers me is how did the Mako Mermaids never see them? In Mako Mermaids the pod was supposedly there for thousands of years but they never met the H2o mermaids.
2. They also had more powers than the H2o mermaids, like MM (Mako mermaids) could make heat, ice, move water as well as telekinesis, invisibility, ect along with the moon rings but h2o only had one power each, and it couldn't have been because they were land girls because Evie had more powers than them too.
3. In MM when Rikki made an appearance she said that the moon pool hadn't changed at all but it had a whole new floor and land entrance.
Wasn’t Evie hit with the power of like 50 full moons or something? That could explain why she had more powers. That and the fact that she turned into a mermaid alone while the h2o girls were together. Because Charlotte ended up with multiple powers as well and she was also alone. But then I wonder, why doesn’t bella have multiple powers?
@@jjordanrenae because Bella became a mermaid through Ireland's moon pod not Australia's
Also nearly every plot and episode of MM could have been solved by them just staying invisble
The one that never made sense to me that shows up a couple times but can see in S1E1 - when they swim underwater outside the cavern, Cleo looks back and it shows the whole island. They were only supposed to be on the other side.
I love H2O 😍
I don't care about the mistakes, because there's no perfect series or movie 😊
at 2:35 I don't think you thought about how someone always wakes up, washes their face, brushes their teeth and possibly takes a shower. So if she was a mermaid she would have ran out of the juice net café.
One thing that confused me or made me mad I guess was the fact that after the first episode of season 3 Emma was never mentioned again. they basically got rid of her character I know that actor went to go on and act another movie, but they honestly could have mentioned her a little bit more than they did. they only mentioned her in like the first episode of season 3 and Once after that and it didn't even say her name it just said our other friend that was it. they completely threw her character away and I didn't like that they even replaced the necklaces even though in the first few episodes Cleo and Ricky still wore their necklaces. after a while they just threw them away we never got to see a cameo of them somewhere like on their desks or something it just would have been nice to know that they still knowledge they had another friend.
I think the reason Charlotte knew Kim loved to piss off Cleo was probably cause that’s pretty normal for oldest and youngest siblings to piss each other off
Remember when Zane almost drowned and he could see a mermaid? Have you ever tried looking underwater with just your eyes? Yeah it blurry AF.
1:25
Actually, she's being clever. She wants to see if she can dry herself off, before she transforms. It's a simple task with just a drop of water, but she wants to prepare for any situation where she'll be doused with water
Girl do mako mermaids next, she was a questionable sequel for sure! ❤️
I loved mako mermaids
6:49 if they want to have a certain hairstyle as a mermaid, they would have to do it as a mermaid, like when Emma died her hair red, it was only red when she was a mermaid but then it was back to blonde when she was human
To add onto this, something that's always bothered me is how on earth do they dry off in the moon pool when rikki isn't there? Do they just keep some towels somewhere no one can see?
bruh i think miss Chatham has the invisible power like they do in mako mermaids
At 6:28 , if touching water turns them into mermaids, why doesn't Cleo's tears turn her?
There’s an episode where Emma puts a straw in bottle of water she gets out of the fridge to stop herself getting wet however it zooms in and theirs literally condensation all o Ed the bottle and she’s fine.
2:42 because if Charlotte was a mermaid her first instinct would be to go run into a reserved area to quickly dry herself. so bc she didn’t do that they confirmed she wasn’t a mermaid.
Notice how 7:04 was the only time EVER where Cleo transformed like the others. You know... when they would become water first. She always just got a sound effect and pretended to fall lol.
another thing i recently noticed is that in the first ep it's broad daylight when they're at mako (which btw they shouldn't have been able to paddle so far so fast) but as soon as they're in the moon cave it's like midnight?? how long were they stuck down there before they found the moonpool 😂
1:28 for that one, Cleo was tryna see if she would be able to dry herself off fast enough if she went to Miriam’s pool party so she could go
That’s why she dumped water on herself to simulate getting wet in a pool
5:25 and yes that *was* necessary, it’s the equivalent of taking of ur face mask to hear someone better 💀🤚
I’m pretty sure Ms. Chatham is still a mermaid, they just never show it because I don’t think putting an old woman in a mermaid suit is as ideal or safe as we might think. In Mako Mermaids it shows they have powers of invisibility, maybe that’s how she’s able to disappear.
It’s just hinted she’s still a mermaid despite never using her powers, but it’s never stated she gave up her powers ever- it was only Gracie who gave up her powers. And the power removing moon cycle is every 50 years,
