Now I just need to find a method to remove the distracting borders and full screen a movie, for example, while having split screen. F11 full screens the entire tab, so that isn't an option.

Maybe I can just add this for people who run into trouble, because this solution didn't snap for me. Dragging didn't make any of my windows snap to one side. Turns out there's a setting that has to be one in Windows. Snap Settings needs to be turned on, or activated. I typed snap in the search bar, and the setting came up at the top immediately. I clicked and turned it on, and now it works fine. In case anyone else has a little trouble with it... Great video though!

Hey guys, I've just accidentally updated my laptop to Win 10 Pro and now I have trouble with spliting screens. Is there any way that I can have more than 2 split screens on Win 10 Pro?
NGL this also was a feature in windows 7 but the method is not like this You just have to right click the taskbar and select the option how. But make sure some apps are on the screen and not the taskbar hiding
Final analysis; 1) Waste of time if you want multiple desktops, this isn't it, we only get one. 2) Essentially , this feature is a History log of where you were today, yesterday and days gone by...up to 4 days unless you want the microsoft ambilical cord so ms, has access to all your internet activity, with your permission lol, then you get 30 days. Thanks for nothing ms. 3) I started to view this as a great tool until I realized, that each day is different, you don't get to organize like you can with a desktop, you just get to see where you've been day to day, so each day your view is going to be chronicled by your activity, each day's view is different you don't just get to see the apps, photos, mp3' files, etc that you had hoped you could organize and know where they are, keep them in one well organized area. 4) There are dozens of ''Multi Desktop'' videos, none of them are about multi desktops'' If we had that feature available it would be awesome. 5)This feature is actually ; Multi Task Views, and if you try to use is as multiple desktops you will quickly realize it becomes a ''who's on first game'' (Abbott and Costello skit) total waste of time, where it could have been made so awesome.

I have one TV screen (my main monitor via only HDMI outlet) on which i want view the game or video i am watching, but on the second which is a PC monitor (via only dvi) i wish to view say a how to guide or a reference pic. how for the sake of Pete do i do that on windows 10 i could do it vista and seven. but 10 the only thing i choose from: *duplicate these displays, which shows the same thing on both monitors. * extend these displays which locks me out of one the two monitors, meaning the mouse (and any work, or split screen) cannot track across the displays. * or show only on one and two, choose one two goes blank no signal, choose two 0ne goes blank with no signal. all i want is to have the tv screen display X, then be able to simply track my mouse across to pc monitor and interact with y as needed. this is to help me with my 3d rendering.

Is this really split screen?! This is as good as changing the border size of each application and placing them on a single screen in different places. In an actual split screen, I think you will have he task bar for each screen, not sure about he mouse pointer

I had two irregularly shaped tabs. Isn't there one button to press to just size them neatly to left half of screen and right half of screen? It's an awful lot of effort narrowing them and elongating them to fit neatly.

Figured it out, go to multitasking and make sure window snapping is on. Also make sure tablet mode is off.
