This is manna from heaven. This is strong meat. This is wisdom from above that can shorten the time of growth in some way. I lost so many years going around the mountain, mussing the test through misunderstanding, confusion, wandering. All the good I could have done if I had allowed the breaking of the outer shell.
Four hours of teaching??? Wow I'm going to have to listen to parts at a time. This is very deep. Now that I understand what He is doing through trials I feel bad for complaining. The Bible says count it all joy. I knew God had a lot of work to do in me but we just have to take it one day at a time!

I hear and understand the outer man needs to be broken....😢mine needs to be broken!!!! But how?!?! Ive been a believer for around 20 years, attended Bible college, serve in homeless shelters, my works mean nothing i know this, but HOW....HOW DOES MY OUTER MAN BE BROKEN...i struggle daily with addictions. Ive wanted death rather than this constant struggle!
Greetings beloved. First I will start by appreciating your openness, it really shows you need help and he Lord will give you help today by His mercy. Let me start from that addiction. It is not part of the life of Christ you were given at salvation. You have given some ground to the devil and that you must reclaim. You must take your stand and resist the devil, he will flee. You must not accept that it is your own work. Check the ground you have relinquished to the enemy especially in your mind and reclaim it through fresh consecration and renewing of your mind. Breaking of the outer man is done by the Lord but through the instrumentality of the cross. You must play your role actively for the cross to prevail on the self life. Jesus said we must deny the self life, take up the cross and follow him. That is what you must trust the grace of God. You must take up the cross daily and reckon yourself death to self and alive unto God(See Roman 6). The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to ALL MEN. Lay hold on the grace of Christ for daily victory. "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. I must emphasize again on the need to renew your mind daily. Satan always takes advantage of the ground he has gained in the mind. A practical warning about Watchman Nee: he had his treasure in an earthen vessel, just like the rest of us. Be diligent to look up every verse reference, i.e, be a Berean about it. You are not obligated to accept anything Watchman taught. You ARE obligated to God, to verify you can trace Watchman's teachings to God's Word, and have proven the context justifies his interpretation. Only then will you have verified you are following Jesus, and not simply an earthen vessel
