Another cool thing is it's water cooled that means you can add a heater and defrost they sell a heater and fan in a box ready to go for cheap I have them in mine , you have to have a heater 😅
I have 2 1968 one is a baja bug the other is a street bug the baja bug is irs and i broke 3 trans the street bug has a swing axle and its a tough trans i guess the swing axle has course gears so they are better the irs has fine gears they strip real easy and thats not the intercooler i have them on mine they are the type that go under the hood on the t bird
@@BackwoodsOffroadOverlanding my first car was a Baja bug about 45 years ago and never thought I'd have another but my brother traded a truck for a dune buggy with a 2300 in it and when I drove it I fell love with it then I put a turbo on it with all the 88 turbo coupe stuff and I had to get one now I have 2 they are a lot of fun and pretty dam fast for the cost now days they have faster motors but it's a lot of $$$$
No doubt. I have a 12v Cummins for my square body and I’m like geez do I really want to spend all that money to build a motor and replace a perfectly fine SBC!

That intercooler tube is off of a 84 mustang that you have its nothing like a 88 turbo coupe cooler
You are correct learned this after tearing into motor and doing some more research I believe the engine is an 87 tbird with an added cooler
