Dang I wish I had found this video earlier. I got my S22 a few days ago and have been going in circles trying to decide on a case. This is exactly what I was looking to figure out. I'll be using these links thanks.
Great video! Thanks.
Nice review, thx! What wallet are you using?
Does it affect the spen? When the accessories are on?
What setup would you recommend for Galaxy s21fe?
How did the ESR halolock hold through time on the Torres case ?
I'm asking because i too would like to stick it on a Spigen case, which from what i see, has a similar back with the Torres one.
May I ask if I have an s21fe what hole guides should I use?
Thanks for the great video and ideas.
Question, have you tried leaving the phone with the halolock on a wireless charger for an extended time? Does it stop chargijng after a while or does it heat up really hot?
Does the torras case work with the regular wireless chargers as well? Again, for extended periods of time without heating up too much?
Thanks in advance!
how it is for Mag car phone mount holder
Is it having sharp edge?
Does it work for the note 20 ultra ?
Is there something for the galaxy s20+5g
Any thoughts on installing the halolock INSIDE the case (so it's hidden and you can't feel it from the outside)?
I tried and tried, it didn't work - magnets aren't strong enough. I've learned to like it, especially on the green case with raised edges, it's very unobtrusive.
With the super strong magnet on the esr car mount, will it not pull off the halo lock? I got one of those average cases with the metal ring on the outside of the case and it eventually tore it right off of its adhesive.
There's some art to removing anything magnetially attached. A straight away, equal-on-all-sides pull makes for a tough time. Try using your fingersand thumb to pull from mostly one edge, basically breaking the magnetic seal in a small portion of the seal, making it easier to remove.
What setting did you put the halolock on, B? have you had any issues with charging since installing it a little bit lower? getting mine this week and want to make sure I install it in the right spot
Great question! It's worked perfectly since installing it lower to accommodate the case shape. All my wireless chargers work well with the ring.
@@SoZenGadgets which setting did you put it on? S22+? Also thanks for the reply!! Great video and very informative!
For the first case he used "C" and for the 2nd case, "B". It appears as though "C" is the ideal location for the Samsung S22 Ultra if that works with your case.
I've been into the translucent case look too. Never been a case person because ir completely hides the phone design. But thin translucent cases are a great compromise.
This issue nobody talks about is finding a case that will work with large phones such as my S21 Ultra to allow them to be attached to a magnetic car mount with out falling off over the bumps.
I've been using this Vicseed magnetic mount in two of my cars without any issues on my s22 ultra. Check it out
(ua-cam.com/video/GT-4a-u8Oas/v-deo.html)
one that also allows your screen to break because of the bezel edges being so low, but a ghostek case they are the best also otterbox but they are ugly, then get a whitestone dome glass screen protector, your welcome
Does this interfere with any Qi-based chargers (like Samsung OEM wireless)?
Most of my wireless chargers still work just fine, including the crappy 5w wireless in my Ford Edge
Hello does the o ring sticks to other metal object aside from magsafe accessories?
the ring is just metal. the magnets are in the accessories themselves, i.e. the wallet or the car mount.
Is that galapple case as strong of a hold? Thanks for the video.
Galapple case gives a strong hold, but yellowed within a few months. Going with the Tocol since posting this video. It still looks good as new.
@@SoZenGadgets thanks dude another concern i have is a battery pack that will work with either case as the reviews are mixed. Thanks again
I've purchased the galapple but after 6 months it started turning yellowish. I have the green s22 ultra & will look into the tocol. Thanks for the review👍
Thanks for watching! I'm still satisfied with the Tocol, still looks great.
Would be willing to do a Samsung A14 galaxy.
what is the waller you used? need a magsafe wallet that will not partially block the camera. which your wallet is perfect for me!
Popsocket wallet it's perfect for you,Do not forget that it depends on where you put the magnet ring. I advise you to install it on (b) if you use halolock magsafe ring
What are those wireless chargers you used?
Hi dyleonj, I use a wireless powerbank that's no longer sold on Amazon, but Anker's PowerCore 10w wireless powerbank (amzn.to/3B6llQU) looks good and for a solar powerbank - since mine are older, I'd look to something with a 10w wireless, like this one from BLAVOR: amzn.to/3ivXdk1.
Would this work with the Note 20 Ultra? How well does it work with a magnetic car mount?
I don't see why it wouldn't. I use my Tocol case and halolock with a vicseed magnetic mount every time I drive , very strong hold
does the halo lock allow the spen to fully function?
Great question, I have had magnetic sockets on outside of cases and had a total fail of the s-pen through the center of the screen.
I just ordered one of these on my OtterBox defender pro case for my Galaxy s23 ultra I'm going to install it between the rubber and the back piece
wish you to add the products links ... thank you 🌹🌹
@@SoZenGadgets You didn't add the "nosely"? charger, not sure how to spell it as you didn't show it well but mentioned it.
Can we get a link to that final charger you tried with the toros case or the one just like it?
Will it work - if I use a magsafe cover and then put it on samsung wireless charging pad ? Will it wirelessly charge ?
Separate the layers if the spiegen case and slide the magnet in the middle
@@SoZenGadgets alright man. Try it and let me know so I can buy them lol
what kind of magnetic wallet are u using?
I've tried a few - for one: the Apple Wallet, at $45, is still comparable to the cheap clones you'd find on Amazon - holds 3 cards securely. I'm using the one with the little flap on it that stretches and can hold about 6 cards pretty safely with that flap the Sinjimoru Magnetic Phone Wallet amzn.to/3ZHSdJE
What if you put one HaloLock under the case and then the other one on the outside of the case? Not sure if that would make it have a stronger pull or not though
@@notorioustito8515 I'm an idiot and was thinking the HaloLock was the magnet part, but it's just steel. It wouldn't make any difference at all.
what about s23
I don't see your test on the car holder and that is the most user want
0:37 : "…and I’m also going to talk about the lens cover" But you never did. Whached the whole video just for that…
I've had the lens covers on for months, no issues and doesn't seem to affect the camera. For the price, well worth it
@@SoZenGadgets Thanks for the reply. You've had the lens cover with which case? I'm pretty sure most cases won't fit anymore after installing the lens covers. I was expecting to see this in your video.
DUDE ,..its sooo hilarious and soooo Apple'ish🤫 ... selling YOU expensive fancy looking sticky loops worth a cent for 50 bugs ... that could be easily replaced by 3 strips of magnetic dug tape for a few cents. Just put them on the in- or outside of the backside of a phone case and that would do the trick easily and as good as MagSafe. . .
Boring
I have this exact same magsafe ring on my s20fe (attached to a spigen rugged case). And oh my goodness the strength is unparalleled! Even better than built in magsafe cases
