𝗔𝗹𝗶 𝗔𝗸𝗯𝗮𝗿 𝗣 𝗡 is a contemporary artist whose thematic preoccupations explore the delicate realms of memory, myth, mobility, and heritage. His artistic practice and ideological outlook are profoundly intertwined with the maritime domain, emblematic of his upbringing in a coastal village on the periphery of the ancient port city of Muziris, in Kerala. Ali Akbar’s debut solo exhibition, 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙎𝙚𝙖𝙨 is an inquiry into his recent and ongoing artistic practice, around some of the historically significant spaces in comprehension with both the past and present times. Conceived as a confluence of study laboratory and studio space, the exhibition showcases his 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝗮 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Employing a sophisticated blend of archival exploration, site-specific investigations, and scholarly discourse, the exhibition offers a multifaceted engagement with Ali Akbar's artistic practice.
