I know there are those that like the song Why Can't This Be Love? I was definitely not one of them. They did write better ones though with Sammy but when they made those "flat tires" it sure sounded campy to me.

Maybe to "old school" fans that saw and heard Montrose 5 years before Van Halen went on their first tour, but.....I'll bet serious money that at least 75% of "Van Halen" record and tape buyers and even concert goers dont have a clue about Montrose unless they have heard Edward talk about his love of Ronnie or Sammy mention it.
In the early age he wanted Van Halen , after 1986 he wanted a pop band.
