- I answer the age old question. Is RIP Worth The Money?!
This year I camped in the Sleepy Hollow site, and made the most of the facilities so I can give an honest opinion on whether we are all really getting our moneys worth.

Tbf, this looks well worth the money. Next year I’m going for the TT, which I’ve mentioned many times on the dischord, but for 2026 I think I’ll be flying solo and this could well be the option I go for. Nice one Stu.

@@SMTV__ nice one, I’ll have a watch. I’ve only ever dossed on the campervan site at download, but having done general at other smaller festivals I have to say I can’t see me ever doing it at download!! I bet the mud was horrific this year…

Cracking video. Our First time in RIP area this year, and it’s a totally different festival compared to gen pop. Being able to park next to the tent was the biggest sell for us. Everything else was just a bonus. We’ve already secured our tickets for next year.

Regarding the showers- I’ve seen a lot of people keep it simple by just taking flip flops & a dressing gown, I love this idea but would probably opt for a dry robe to minimise the risk of flashing the campsite if the gown belt were to become undone 😅

Ace video, we did Rock Retreat this year which was good but a fair walk for buses. Was just away to book thr RIP but its now £778.00 each.

We went to the crew huts and loved it. RIP is amazing
It’s crazy how close you are to the arena and village isn’t it!
@@SMTV__ it’s amazing and was so handy to get away from the sun, I filmed it from the arena to the crew hut 4:34. Can’t argue with that of a walk.
I’ll watch video in full once kids are asleep, but I’m imagining the answer is yes!!!

Interesting video mate. I can see many benefits for sure. However i don't think i would ever do it now. Gen pop for me. I much prefer to have the circle of tents and set up we have now. This year i was in orange camp just next to Camping plus and was not too far to walk for car park and arena overall. As a veteran of 23 years of various festivals, i have never showered once lol i aint bothered. Wet wipes twice a day. Toilets i am used to way worse and this year was the best i think i have used. Only thing i am jealous of is parking next to a tent. That is about it. But very cool concept i just couldn't justify the cost. Glad you enjoyed it.
Yeah if in gen camping, wet wipes all the way! Main sell for me this year was going solo, and really not wanting to lug all my gear on my own. Everything else mentioned was just a bonus! Cheers buddy

Great video! We booked RIP after your last video and tickets were selling out fast. I think ours in the end was £755, but we used Klarna to split into instalments. I shared the video with my other half and she loved your insight into Sleepy Hollow and the whole RIP experience! We are doing coach next year, but friends drove this year. With RIP is there a separate area to get wrist bands etc, or do you get them at the normal check in area at the top of the hill. Am in Dear Download now 👍
Great stuff glad to hear it! Yeah the Klarna option is great isn’t it, makes RIP more accessible.
So you will receive an email closer to the festival giving you a postcode to head towards, then when closer you will follow the signs for RIP camping. There is an RIP camping only check in area. Getting the coach, I guess that will drop you off at the general ticket desks and you’ll just have to walk around the site to get to Sleepy Hollow 😁

Yeah you have definitely sold RIP to me, I was going to go for camping plus but it looks like it right by where you have to scan your tickets to get wristbands so hopefully more RIP are available when the band announcements happen
More will be available come Oct/Nov, whenever the next announcement is. Just need to be quick off the mark

I don’t think they’ll do that T-shirt idea. Because profits etc. the 2015 t shirt is probably the best rip t shirt. No lineup but does have print on the back and front

once your parked up can you drive out again over the weekend to pop to tesco or stuck in for the rest of the festival ?
You can come and go as you please in your car, but I’m pretty sure they try and enforce a curfew past 10pm… pretty sure this would depend on the urgency of leaving site
Probably an obvious question, but does that cost (£615/£675) include your ticket price, which is £300 ish. Or do you buy that as well, separately?
It does include 1 ticket yeah. It is confusing, especially for the more expensive options, which might say ‘Luxury yurt for 2’ - but you have to read the small print to know that includes 2 x tickets to the festival also. So a good question, but not an obvious answer 😄
