CSX Freight Train Rolls Through Acworth, GA Depot Park at Sunset | W&A Railroad Subdivision

M542-04 glides north by the Acworth Caboose at golden hour. I tried to showcase the various views of the train you can see from the small park next to the replica train depot. The park, depot, and pedestrian bridge were all built between 2017 and 2019 as part of Acworth's city beautification project.

Wow! Any idea how often trains go through Acworth or where to find some sort of schedule? My son wants to go but of course it would be helpful if we knew we’d see at least one train! 😁

Thanks! Unfortunately there is no set schedule, but the evenings tend to be busier in my experience. If you only have a couple hours, I'd try going from 6pm-8pm

@@ICE6365 Thanks for the tip! We decided to go late morning the other day and a train went by around noon, so that was lucky…we’ll definitely try the 6-8 time frame next time!

@@melissah6577 I'm glad you saw one at least! I had a friend tell me he saw 5 trains in 2 and a half hours this morning between 9:30am and noon. That was in Smyrna along the same route that passes through Acworth. The train traffic is very unpredictable but that may be another time frame to try!
