Of all of the colorist videos that are on youtube, yours are the ones I get most excited for. You have talent, for sure, but it's your personality, your enthusiasm, and the video editing/music flow. So expertly done! You are very easy to follow, but mostly you explain WHY you are doing that technique/color. My best colored pages are the ones in which I followed your tutorials. Keep doing what you are doing, Peta!
This is such a helpful tutorial, thank you. I have recently completed this page and I so wish I had found your tutorial before I started it. It's also great to see a colouring tutorial with my favourite colouring pencils, Polychromos, as most seem to default to Prismacolor. I'm working on the page opposite this one now, so will give your technique a go. Thank you again for sharing your talents.
My husband got me the poly’s for my birthday and I preordered the book! Now, I can’t wait till the Holidays are over so I can settle in for a long Michigan winter with my head phones, iPad, book, pencils and listen to you while I color! I’m excited! as I have learned so much from you. So nice to see you color! Thank-you for your time and your gift of coloring. Merry Christmas Peta! May all of your wishes come true 😎
Absolutely gorgeous as usual Peta can't wait to follow this tutorial soooooo many colour books so little time!!! I just received my copy of the new fairy one from Karla Markova so gorgeous if you have one would love to see what you do with that 😜😊❤️🌷💖Tanya x
Oh gosh that is beautiful PETA. Love your videos. Can’t wait to try this out. Thank you for sharing your talent. I have learnt so much from you... keep well and God Bless.
love this color along use more prisma pencils but have the whole set of fabers so am beginning to use them more as I watch your tutorials thank you. Blessings Jo
@Peta Hewitt, I would love a list of colors in order of use for each flower. I'm not sure if that's acceptable to ask. However, I had already finished this coloring page and am trying to do the one you originally colored and are using as a guide for this one. Does that make sense? :D I love how you share and can't wait to continue.
Bistre (pronounced like blister or mister) is a brownish grey color made from boiled ash and was commonly used as a wash by artists around the 17th century. Ref: Wikipedia and Britannica online) :) Thank you for the coloring videos, I learn a lot from them.
I love the way you explain what you are doing step by step. I am a newbie afraid to even start, because I can't pick colors, but I am learning a lot about coloring itself from you. Prismacolors have been sold to a USA company, and Amazon and UA-cam are filled with horror stories now that the pencils are made in Mexico. I got a set of 36 myself where 12 of the pencils were badly split from top to bottom. I had always wanted Prismacolor Premiers, but now am afraid to buy. They were in a class by themselves at one time. What should I get instead now that they are no longer the pencil they once were?
Hey Peta..I'm so happy to see you back with a tutorial, delighting all of us with another gorgeous creation of yours 😊 may I add just a little thing? I find the volume of the music compared to your voice just a bit loud. I found myself going back and forth with turning the volume up and down, which was not the most pleasant watching experience. Besides that, I enjoyed watching your coloring project. I know myself how much time and work goes into making these tutorials, so I really appreciate your come back 😊 warm regards from Germany 😊
@Peta Hewitt - Do you use any type of blending pencil for the background? I know I don't see it in the videos so far, but my background is not smooth using polys as it is when I use Prismas. Pls help
Hallo Peta, I am a beginner and I love your tutorial, but i can not find the color "Light Flash" and "middle flash" please give me the Nummer from the color
I don't think I can squeeze it in. I'll be away for the next two weeks. i am working on a Christmas picture but it won't be in time. Sorry. But luckily there are a number of other excellent colourists who are posting Christmas tutorials.

Great tutorial.
So so lovely 💖
Hi Peta, your colouring is amazing......trying to do the same but having a hard time!
Hi felicia. It all just takes practice. I was colouring my own art for decades before starting in colouring books.

Thanks so much Peta and Merry Christmas!
I would love to see a video for the page opposite. Especially how you would color the violets.
Thank you 😊

Thanks Peta!
Thank you PETA! ❤️
You're welcome. :)
Hi Peta. Thoroughly enjoying these vids. Would using a kneadable eraser be as good as the ones you use? Thx.
What background music do you use? I find it really relaxing
👍👍

Your coloring is very beautiful but when you are showing a page your hands keep moving all over the page and we can not focus on the picture
But, PETA......I have not finished part 1
I gave you long enough. lol :)
