Fascinating. When other people fight him, the Flamelurker spends time jumping back and side-to-side, giving you time to heal or perform other actions. When I fight him, it's nonstop offensive pressure until I die.
One of the only big complaints I have for this remake is the enemy ai remaining practically the same. Flamelurker looks incredible but you can practically hear the dial up modem whirring when he's trying to make his decisions.
This remake uses the exact same game logic as the original, in order to retain the exact same gameplay feel. Considering how some fans have reacted to minor adjustments to enemy art design, if they changed enemy attack patterns or general gameplay balancing, the Bluepoint Games office would've been fucking burned down,
@@JoshDoVids Couldn't disagree less. The art design changes aren't minor at all and not a single demon souls fan heralds the game as From Software's finest control design. Bluepoint has a lot of wiggle room between even Demon's Souls and say Dark Souls 3 as far as control fidelity is concerned.
@@TheAngryBare Okay but I am willing to bet money, most Demon Souls fans would be much less comfortable with the idea of radical changes being made to the game. If you were in the position to make a Remake of a classic and massively influential game, would you take it upon yourself to change massive parts of it? Also, I obviously dont agree at all that the art style changes are drastic. I've watched countless comparisons videos and im really not sure what the big deal is. Most designs are very similar to their original form. And I think people who complain about it being vastly inferior, are just being hyperbolic purists because they think FromSoft can do no wrong and they dont like the idea of another studio touching their work. Which is why I dont think what you're suggesting would've worked. But I also think its more reasonable to be annoyed at the artistic changes while they also kept the same game logic, flaws and all. If you're going to radically change how the game looks, why not go all in and change lots of things? There are many modern Remakes you can point to that do, do this. The Resident Evil Remakes are great examples. But those are not without their controversy for those very changes. But thats not what we got and thats really not what Bluepoint is known for. They do very faithful remakes where most of the changes are just technical with the generational leap to PS5. That's probably most of the reason for the artistic changes, rather than Bluepoint just being arrogant or something. Modern rendering is much different that on PS3. PBR alone completely changed the game. Plus, art changes aside, the Remake is still like the best looking game on PS5 and the load times really improve the play experience. That was enough for me to love it. I personally am very happy about what we got. Because I never played the original but I am a huge FS fan. So the idea of the new game being demonstrably different, doesnt sound appealing. I do with they added that cut archstone though.
The detail in this game puts elden to shame 😅 , the story is just as good, fromsoft never miss with story content. Have to say it's alot more enjoyable than ER. every part of the game is stunning. Boss fights are a bit hit & miss but still really enjoyable
ER was made for PS4, wasn't made for PS5. They just added the choppy 60fps after with RT as optional. Graphics are non comparable to this game. I hope Fromsoft does it's game like this remaster.
This is an awesome boss fight and quite the wake up call!!! He really keeps you on edge, giving you small moments to breath as his attacks are relentless!!!!
I should go back and try Demon's Souls again. I've finished the PS3 version probably 7 or 8 times, but when I got into the PS5 one I was just getting crushed over and over and was like man, do I really want to do this again?
i remember first time playing demon souls and getting into the souls genre on ps3. this boss was the hardest boss of all in the game. after that it was the last boss, the king dude. but flamelurker. oh man, he was hard
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness. People are like stained - glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within 😈😈😈

Comparing this to Elden Elden ring lol? Elden Ring is an open world game? Ofc It can't look as crisp as Demon's souls yet. Or maybe you can find the technology to make a game run (smoothly and crisp) with next gen graphics and still have a open world size like Elden ring? You can't even compare the two, it's about limits my friend. On the other hand it was a joy to play Demon's souls if we can expect more of this and more, I'm happy for the future 🥰

Bluepoint literally stripped the original of all its soul with this """""remake""""". They should never be hired again to re-release classics. Or at the very least, call your game Demon's Soulless.
@@youwatch2muchtv Low IQ. That's really your only rebuttal to a legitimate complaint? Sony cucks are so pathetic lmao. You can't bear to see your precious first party games disparaged. Do yourself a favour and play the original to see how much this remake has compromised.

He can smell your fear.
Same lol
Yea same lol. I used a gull strength build with the great club and bonked him. It took me forever though.
Prob my second fav boss in demon souls first is definitely tower knight.

The fire coming off his body looked beautiful
The best Demon's Souls boss for me :^)
There is no doubt that the video game industry owes a lot to Demon's Souls
If it was for fromsoftware rpgs would have never developed into what we have today
This boss is shit. All he does is jump around
This game looks better than elden ring
Duh.
Elden ring has much better art direction, still, imo.

Respectfully, yeah, "looks"...
Elden Ring is gorgeous but wish it had next gen graphics like this. It's a huge game so I understand but come on
I literally just posted the same thing, that this remake looks more, idk, polished than Elden Ring. Elden Ring is still gorgeous tho.

Love the sound design

Hardest boss in the game. Everyone else is so slow while this guy is relentless.
The panting in this game by the main character never fails to crack me up. It's a good artistic choice.
I still remember hiding in that cave and cheesing him with whatever they called Dark Fog.
this boss was the number he can't take down and i also love this roasted demon he's amazing even though i prefer his old version this version is ok

Thankfully the stores in my area are finally starting to receive PS5 stock more regularly. Hopefully I’ll be able to enjoy this game soon.
Let's play Leapfrog with Flamelurker!
After elden ring, we got unfinished business demons souls
Love this Game
My favorit boss in demons souls
He's too well-mannered. That's definitely not the same boss I fought.
Is it just me, or does this remake look better than Elden Ring?
Details are insane on this game. Flagship game for Sony when launching Ps5 so it had to be a game changer

For some reason I can’t find this boss

Every demon souls remake videos that i always see has some poop audio quality.
