When the bell rings for the men of old The ones dying never expected this A time has been set to be absolved No sin will leave my cold corpse resting Long since my heart has broken All pain has passed leading to hope Never knowing if peace comes at last As I breathe new life This eternity is far too much From the cold deep darkness My eternity cannot be undone I hear the ticking of the clock Long since my heart has broken All pain has passed leading to hope Never knowing if peace comes at last As I breathe new life My heart is ready to return home It’s been too long since my last breath See the path through the eyes of innocence Fear of betrayal is no more.
Absolutely amazing song. It is the one of the best new track what I heard recently. I'm so glad to we have right there Saturnus again in these difficult years. I can't wait to listening all of the songs!
Thank you boys for not abandoning this project. Every new album release is a new reason for me to live and somehow you touch my soul and my spirit in that moment and you give me a new reason to keep going. I have been a fan since I first heard you. The first song i ever heard was for your demons and I knew in that moment I would follow this band until I couldn't follow anymore
I know what you mean, but Saturnus came before Insomnium and Draconian. They formed earlier and their first album was in 1997. Insomnium's first was 2002 and Draconian's first was 2003. So really, we could say THEY sound like Saturnus!
I totally love Saturnus...and this song is a good song (dont get me wrong)....but something is missing since Rune left the band...all the beautiful solo's are completely gone....not only on this song...but all of the new songs....it's so sad....so in the length the songs get boring and repeditive ;-(
So far you sem to be right, and it's not about the lack of beautiful solos: the guitar work is kinda less intrincated. And _that intricacy_ is a feature that has been present throughout their whole discography - not because of Rune alone. However, it's easy to spot how most of their songs (if not all of them) are built up on/around Rune's solos in "Saturn In Ascension"... Hence it's even more noticeable that _something_ (the _guitarwork_ ) is missing :(
its a matter of taste for sure personally, i dont agree at all. rune was a part of the band only for one album, the one which most fans dont consider their best (at all). me personally, saturn in Ascension held some of my absolute favorite songs (of all times, not only saturnus), i.e. between, but at same time some very bad ones i never listen to at all and skip them whenever i can. all other albums were created without rune and they all are damn nice as well (maybe even better then SiA, but at least on a level) so lets see what this new album brings. so far, i like all songs, but i miss the highlights all other albums had for me. on martyre for example, softly on the path u fade must be like one of the best songs ever created, but several others are very nice as well, on VdtD several songs are highlights as well, for example i long or descending, just like path both some of the best songs ever created (for me)
Well, I've checked again after a long time their unreleased song "Thorns" and... Oh, boy! How I wish that one to be part of the new album! Probably all of you are already aware of that song, but just in case, listen to it: ua-cam.com/video/c6MtPvVixvQ/v-deo.html Of course it's a matter of taste, but there is more guitar work in "Thorns" than in these 3 singles together... Even the drumming and keyboards are more interesting because of their interplay there. I mean, "Thorns" is simple, but the details I point out bring more nuances to every section, making it no repetitive at all - let alone boring! Just let's hope "Thorns" to be part of the album... perhaps under another new name?
Yet again Saturnus shows that danish culture is not just coffee and cake :D
Focking brilliant.... as always :)
This album is going to be superb
When the bell rings for the men of old
The ones dying never expected this
A time has been set to be absolved
No sin will leave my cold corpse resting
Long since my heart has broken
All pain has passed leading to hope
Never knowing if peace comes at last
As I breathe new life
This eternity is far too much
From the cold deep darkness
My eternity cannot be undone
I hear the ticking of the clock
Long since my heart has broken
All pain has passed leading to hope
Never knowing if peace comes at last
As I breathe new life
My heart is ready to return home
It’s been too long since my last breath
See the path through the eyes of innocence
Fear of betrayal is no more.
Doomy and uplifting at the same time! :)
Sounds fantastic so glad I preordered this cd!!

Also, I've been told I look very much like one of you people think I'm in your band sometimes so that's kind of crazy and cool
Great track! Has a similar rhythm and feel to Murky Waters
I can't fucking wait for this album!
Very good, reminds me of Insomnium and Draconian.

@@jonkipling2605 Yeah, i know that man:)
Actually
Saturnus es Saturnus, y como tal suenan superior a años luz de cualquier banda con este estilo, simple/ ellos son únicos, excelentes y grandiosos !!!
Masterpiece ❤
Великолепно! ❤
Maravilloso ❤
Good
I agree, could have done with some more clean singing. I like a balance. Othr then that, it's ok.
...I feel the balance of clean and harsh vocals are lacking on this in accordance with the musical heights and depths.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
💕

🙃
For me the song "For Your Demons" remains their masterpiece. That violin is haunting my soul.
