Your video was randomly recommended to me. I'll be returning to watch the rest but so far, I agree. I too struggle with attaching so strongly to first time experiences. I'm overly sentimental and it's incredibly difficult to let go. For some things, I haven't been able to let go but have managed to dull the thoughts or feelings to a point of being tolerable. After checking your channel, I can see this sort of video isn't usually your style. Please do more like this, it's so raw and real. It's vulnerable and that's not lost on me, your humanity shows. From one random internet person (on the other side of the world, mind you 🇭🇲) to another, you're going to be alright in time. Feel what you need to feel now, even when it sucks. Time might not heal all wounds, unlike the saying, but it does dull all wounds. Thank you for your candour.
Thank you! I've always tried to maintain some level of authenticity, even in the videos with clickbaitier titles and thumbnails, because that's what I like most about UA-cam. But it definitely took an extra push to release something as vulnerable as this, so I'm really glad you like it and really appreciate the comment.
ive continued to hold on to my first love for many years, and i feel nothing will ever live up to the relationship we had, as i experienced it. it kind of disgusts me towards myself that this parallels how you described getting a new dog after your first pet-it feels not even worth it to try again. thanks for the vid (i am unwell)
Honestly it's really hard. Struggling with that was the biggest inspiration for this video. But you're definitely not alone in feeling that way. I think the fact that this video has gotten more responses than normal only confirms that to me. I still feel that same way a lot. And I feel upset with myself for it taking so long. But I honestly believe that similar and better experiences to that first time are still to come. You just have to keep trying. And trying can still be really frustrating sometimes and it might take a really long time for it to actually work. But I hope you'll keep trying with me.
The first shot is so beautiful bro. I think u should have scenes like this in more than one part in ur videos. Like someone in this comment section said it does look like a dream. Keep going
I can relate to your attachment to doing things for the first time, and I also have a hard time letting go of things. It's something that gets harder as I grow up, because there's just more things I have to let go of over time. However, I disagree with you a bit about destiny. I think there's a bit of a middle ground with that, where we're able to make our own decisions, and yet we still end up where we're meant to be. Kind of like destiny is a creative process, and we get to be a part of it. It was great to listen to you for a little while Mr. Wamp! Thanks for making your movie.

the first shot feels like a dream
Incredible video! Went through a breakup last month so this video has really resonated with me. Great message at the end too!
Wamp is irreplaceable
Some of this reminds me a bit of the movie your name, I think you may find it interesting.
