1:13 Very minor nitpick, but the hobgoblin team would get their overload in the 4th room, not the 5th. This is mainly to avoid confusion for people that may be attempting challenge mode.
So a useful thing to look out for when doing the single jump on witness is the orange energy wave that comes out with the jump attack. The actual kill area appears slightly after that wave passes over the arena so jumping as soon as you see the floor turn orange will consistently keep you alive.
in verity there is a long list of exotic armor that have effects even if the statue inst there like necrotic grips and pyrogales. this means that when those players get fractured their statues are easy for anyone to identify meaning less call outs and less mistakes
faith keeper with field prep + lasting impression is also consistent for pre-breaking witness buttons Shoot rocket at feet reload (crouch for field prep) shoot button the lasting impression timing works out just right for breaking buttons as long as you have low velocity and stand anywhere behind the rally flag. Only issue is if you mess up, then you'll need to leave/rejoin to get ammo since faith keeper only holds 12 rockets with field prep (2 per button break).
No Herald of Finality double damage hand trick?? FYI, after at least 1 conductor is closed, players may attempt to kill the hand spawned in middle next to the box with Pyramidal Resonance in hand just like in The Witness encounter. If done so before the final remaining conductor(s) are closed (assuming the hand has a Green bracelet, this is pure rng as the Circle Hand can have either red or green) Then after the first damage phase ends, the boss throws you straight into a 2nd back to back damage phase, allowing for an easy, albeit "cheesed" one phase! TLDR; you can kill the hand in the herald encounter when its next to the box before you close all conductors for a double damage phase
Iv been looking for how this works as times Ive seen people softlock forcing a wipe. They break it and it softlocks why does this happen and how do I not do this. Would be great if you could lmk as iv been putting off this Strat for a while now.
@adamboy0559 make sure you delay one sides close until after youve shot and make sure you shoot it inside the first circle attack that goes in mid seems to be how it works for me in my runs with speedrunners
A more clean way to run repository is to always do the plats at the same time for both spawning the buffs in and locking the pillars. My team does it were the lock players always lock a certain shape so when we call out what pillar is what shape those player move to that plate from whatever plate they started with and then we call out 3 2 1 and lock them all at same time.
I can’t confirm since I haven’t used it in a long while but: If you’re rocking Solar Warlock, slap on Sanguine. More damage boost + Surge Boost for matching Super during Witness
Wait, Witness ignores resist mods?? News to me. I've been a fan of using a SES/Galanor S&S on Herald for free Conductive Cosmic Crystal uptime (and pretty decent damage) along with a GL. Very relaxing, sitting a few meters away pumping HGL into Herald surrounded by a bunch of people swording.
Good video! I would keep an eye on the speedrun record, there are a few challenging strategies that most teams are practicing that would bring the time down to around 14 minutes! So i doubt that my 16:01 will still be record in a few months 😅
Llama brother i thought this was supposed to be a mastery guide but u dont mention the skip before first or the fact that u can test had at second and get an extra damage phase for it or the second to third skip for one person to do and the death warp for the rest of the fireteam and at 3rd you can just send once pick up what spawns next to you and close the one instantly
question, for being able to tank witness beam, is it individual power level or the fireteam shared level? Cuz if its shared I might just have the players i teach just stand still in a well on one part of the platform and jump for the jumping thing.
I'm not too sure, just remember that fireteam power is -5 from you for your newbies, so they might still die to it. Though if hey all have at least 2020 and 100 resil it should be fine.
U forgot a quixk thingy on 2nd encounter a player with triangle buff can with a 50/50 chance try to break the circle hand while standing in the attack to get a 2nd bavk to back dmg phase important is that u have to do it before u close the last pillar and its highly recommended u have about a minute time left otherwise ull run out of time during the 2nd dps phase
I could be wrong about the resist mods but I’ve always heard 2 solar resistance and a concussion dampener in a well let’s you tank it? It’s worked me but I also could have just had 2020 per and that’s what saved me idk
When the chest only accepts 1 pickup by the first person that dunks their buff, why did you recommend someone with one OR 2 Buffs to be the First one to dunk? And what Happens if someone with a 3stack dunks it first? I just noticed a while ago that sometimes the chest does not consume all of your buffs at once
On witness you can tank the lasers with the lowest I have tested 30 resilience and survive 1 laser. You won't survive 2 lasers in a set even if your at 100 resil you need other healing to survive the back to back lasers. But just standing not in the exact mid of the plate is usually safe from getting hit by double lasers. I stand halfway between the mid and the edge close to witness. There may be something with damage on the lasers and your connection or fps as when I was testing on an Xbox Series S 60fps 1 laser did not kill me 5/6 times so it did kill me once idk why since I was standing in the mid of the laser on each of the tests. Good to note resist mods did not work did not know that.

@@Cordam. DSC is fantastic until Taniks. That fight makes no sense and it is so jarring it rips me out of the immersion every single time. How did he get fused to the shank when the station crashed? It didn’t just happen. But I have no way of making a reasonable explanation for how. Oh and he can just magically call down meteors now? How did he get that power? They had an opportunity to do something really cool with that boss fight. We could’ve crashed into the crypt and the robots could’ve built weapons onto him as the fight progressed. So many possibilities but what we got makes no sense. It’s really unfortunate because I genuinely think it’s got one of the strongest first 3 encounters of any raid. I just feel robbed by that boss fight. I know I shouldn’t judge the raid on what it could’ve been. So if I judge it on what it is, it’s a 9/10 raid with a 4/10 final boss because the whole encounter makes no sense. I feel like Vesper’s Host is the redemption. Vow seals the deal with the best boss encounter outside of maybe legit Riven. Vow’s first 3 encounters are stellar. The setting is incredible (as is Deep Stone’s). But Rhulk delivers where Taniks does not. That’s the difference maker. If Taniks made sense I think I would agree with you.
I'd like to do this raid, but I won't lfg given I don't know how to do it and don't want to put people through that headache of teaching. Most people don't want to for this raid. 😢
@deadlyalliance8281 yeah, i always end up in a raid with a bunch of people who don't know the mechanics, and it's a headache. I'd definitely want to do this with people that know what they're doing and me being the only one that hasn't done it lol.
@jungillestt02 I was doing it with my clan who have beaten it before. I was the only one who didn't know how to do it. Yeah, they fumbled a bunch and everyone wasn't on the same page at times which drew out our scheduled session, but 2 hours later and we were only on the third encounter lol. Put a bad taste in my mouth for this paticular raid. It's too long and just not all that fun to me. More of a chore. Nothing beats the old school raids of D1 that were put into D2. VoG, kings fall, crotas end etc. Hell even the leviathan with robot calus at the end was a dope raid.

Forgot to mention that u should have 3x lucent blade to do that HLL combo you were doing in the video

Last time i did a witness cp (at the start of the season) it took me multiple groups and we still needed to 3 phase the witness...it was awful.

That's a huge problem with this paticular raid. It's long, there's lots to teach, and it's fairly complicated starting anew
