Glad your back! Interesting proposition that cactus water leads to an increased hydration relationship. Sounds like a bit of marketing considering the thick tough skin of a cactus probably has more to do with the hydration and prevention of water loss of the plant than the water.

It’s definitely odd to think about, but how I think of it is that properties within the cactus need to retain and bind to the water/hydration. Looking into some of the properties of cacti and their properties in skincare, specifically with the queen of the night cactus extract they use in this, it comes from the flower. The extracts have properties to not only draw hydration to the skin, but also help improve barrier function to prevent moisture loss as well. That being said, the inclusion of aloe (which I didn’t realize until researching, but is also a succulent, like cacti) and other humectants give the moisturizer a lot of its humectant properties as well.
@ your right, cactus and aloe and other desert plant water are usually quite thick and viscous. These plants have adapted to thrive in a arid climate. I’m interested in trying this out as a daytime moisturizer. So glad your back, love your energy and reviews.

Lol yeah I was MIA for a bit, but all good and safe! I HATE moving with a burning passion, and this was probably my most stressful yet! Thankfully my boyfriend helped keep me sane. Omg three whole jars?!? I need to get on your level. It’s been a godsend now that my skin is starting to adjust to the UK fall/winter. One week it was in the 80s and sunny, the next it’s low to mid 50s and rainy 😩

That being said, I am happy that you posted this video because I was looking for a new moisturizer. I just visited my aesthetician and got a facial. She recommended that I used a creamy base facial cleanser. With that said, I would love for you to do a video on the best affordable creamy base facial cleanser. BTW, I have combination skin.

Ooooh stay tuned! I'll get something going based off your rec. What I can rattle off of the top of my head right now: Stratia's Velvet Cleansing Milk is a DREAM, CeraVe's Hydrating Cleanser, Fenty Skin's is one I seem to keep grabbing, and Kinship's is a nice one.
