He's very handsome it's sad that there's so many captive gorillas with no mate...if they were in the wild they would probably be starting a family instead you have these beautiful creatures pulling their hair out ,holding there ears or other things because their lonely and all they are able to do is sit and be watched or yelled at it's just heartbreaking😥😭💔
That is so true. In the wild they don't pluck hair, hold ears, regurgitate and reingest, and so on. They have freedom to search their mates. Thank you Cecilia for watching Monta's video.🙏

Simply wonderful. This shows that relationships between gorillas can be as complex as those of humans. It's wrong to think that if a male and a female are put together they would have off springs. automatically. Momoko preferred Biju's softer looks to those of Goro's' 'badboy' face. :)

Yes, PLEASE support the gorillas and make sure they survive, multiple and have the best life ever. Does Monta have any children? If not, why? We need to make sure the Gorillas survive and thrive in realistic zoos to mimic their home lands. Please do the necessary as soon as possible. Thank you.
Monta has no offspring. Monta has lived with two females in the past only; Momoko and Rola. They never mated. Momoko was like his sister. Rola is uncomfortable with silverbacks, and Monta is shy. So when Rola screamed at Monta as he approached her, he was intimidated. And he stopped interacting with Rola. Thank you for your comment!

So, often we mix up 'L' and 'R'. But Rola/Laura is officially named ROLA. Monta is a gorgeous looking silverback. It's really unfortunate that he didn't get to have his own family. I still hope he can get a partner at least.

People believe he’s a struggling Silverback because he was alone. But now he’s been in contact with Monta and possibly in a bachelor group with other gorillas? I just don’t understand🤷🏽♀️

I have heard that because of the amount of males to females , they have to casterate males in Bachelor troops,.if people are.still trying debunk these theories, Shufai has been sniped already, he and many other male's will never have his own family... Now they need to stop this cruel action on too many males, not enough female's for them, so they stay in Bachelor troops till they die. It's gone way beyond the process, that hurt's my soul..I have been told they are thinking of culling gorillas.. I'm speaking up now and I know you have nothing to do with this.. If we have too many captive gorillas, we can release them in the wild. But we know their original habitats are getting scarce and the lives of wild gorillas are being threatened at this moment. I have read a book written by Toto's former keeper, Mr. Onoda of Nihondaira Zoo (where Toto was kept previously), and in that book he briefly mentioned that he was told by the Ueno Zoo that Biju died due to suffocation from vomit.
He needs a mate, why not take a female from one other the other troops that has many, I don't get it, there are so many bachelor's and then you have troops with 4 and 5 females.
Yes. We all kind of frustrated why Monta has been kept alone, but there may be a reason we don't know why there is no female for Monta. I hope the zoo or JAZA (Japanese zoos' association) will explain or do something about it. Thank you for your comment!
Right? I wrote a note to Elon Musk to please support the gorillas since it is mining for the precious metal cobalt to build the Tesla batteries helps to destroy the gorilla habitat! Also recycling your old cellphones help a lot also. Most zoo’s will accept them!
