What a great idea to cover the food with another plate in the microwave. I use a plastic cover they sell for microwave, but I don't like using plastic, especially when it's heated. I'll start to use another plate. Jael I assume you are moving the camera around to get the right shots and I truly appreciate all the hard work you put into doing that. My hubby is enjoying the videos too. He misses living in the country in Belize.

Hi Jael, you can make yogurt and mala, the persom who is lactose intolerant can take that because the lactose will have broken down during the process, am lactose intolerant and my daughter is also lactose intolerant since birth but we are able to tolerate yogurt, mala, a little cheese and butter. Love your channel and hopefully will one day be able to live in a farm like you. 😊

hey love your homestead, is well kept, cant help admire the animals and the fresh farm produce, just a suggestion try handle the bananas with some TLC i,e usingogeshe , ,keep them under a shade to dry off the liquids it will reduce them from turning black as they ripen.

Jael your videos are really nice. To ripen your bananas, you should lay banana leaves first then you put a layer of bananas and cover them with banana leaves. The aroma is so good with flavours.

A very informative day in the village, Thou3gh the chores may be many , you do them at your own terms and very gracefully. Atleast you get to sell some farm produce to supplement your income.

Also chopping up the nappier would make it easier for your cows to feed and minimize wastage. I love every bit of your village life and truly appreciate you taking time to share it with us. I also noticed that the farmhand milks with one hand while holding the jug. Maybe that's why it's tiresome. Perhaps placing a bucket, then having both hands free such that they can both be used to milk, will lessen fatigue. In my country Uganda green bananas (which are quite starchy) are the cooking type (matooke in my language) also including plantain (for roasting, making crisps, etc). The sweet ones that are eaten ripe/yellow are mainly the cavendish and apple bananas.
@patrickkalunda I used to go to Kampala sometime back. I really loved the plantains and those chicken they roast by the roadside. 'Katogo' (I hope I got thr name right) was also a favourite.
