- We were coming back from our day safari during our stay in jungle retreat wayanad and when we were about to reach the farm, we had unexpected traffic on the road that held us up! Yes, it was a big, full grown Sloth Bear!
It was just incredible!
We also saw a Tiger during our Night safari arranged by Jungle Retreat Wayanad, and I'll upload that Video as well.

i like this sound it occurs at sun set time in kerela...so peaceful place with lots of natural forest water falls rivers streams full of green...but unfortunately it seems like those days are getting over and today kerela is losing it's natural beauty due to de-forestation and so on...Please preserve the wild life

I too felt that you badly disturbed the wild bear by following him so closely in your noisy vehicle. It would have been better if you stopped the vehicle where you first saw the bear and watch him and his behavior quietly from a distance. It is our human nature to get excited and forget the animals and the environment when encountered with unexpected.

this so eco-tourism is destroying the 'some-left places for animals in ghats'..pls hlp to stop..otherwise days are not very far when all this animals will be in videos only , not in reality..pls when you go to jungle don't chase or disturb any animal..i have been to many areas of ghats and i literally cried the way the ppl are destroying this great bio-diversified gift of nature...help to save ghats...thnx

THIS IS NOT SLOTH BEAR - THEY ARE VERY DIFFERENT AND NOT SEEN IN KERALA AT ALL...
KICHUPREETHA I believe you may be misinformed. Sloth Bear and Asiatic Bears are both seen in Kerala, quite commonly in some areas. This is a Sloth Bear as the Asiatics do not have the fully maned ears and have a much better walking posture.
