This documentary is based on the real life struggles of Bollywood Junior Artists. These daily wage workers have suffered heavy financial losses during this prolonged lockdown.This film has been made to bring to light the problems this neglected industry faces. The fate of countless junior artists in the world’s largest entertainment industry hangs in balance. As they hold onto their hopes, their careers have come to a halt ..their lives have been interrupted..i.e “Antardwhand.”
‘Hope’ alone will not be sufficient to get the artists out of crises. It is the collective responsibility of the government and the society to support its artists, this documentary is our attempt to support our peers, however more needs to be done.
This was a unique project as the documentary was shot during the restrictive opening of the lockdown period. We followed all the protocols like wearing a mask and a face shield. The stories were so compelling that neither the hot weather or the lack of provisions were a hinderance.
