I've seen a lot of Black creators demonitized and it is really upsetting. Even channels that youtube deemed to be 'historic' channels by Black content creators. We need to make our own space on the internet. ugh! There is nothing divine or destined about being demonitized on this platform that's created by them for them.
They make these ambiguous guidelines for creators to follow and can strike you for vague reasons. This is a systemic issue, and the platform owners don't have to give clarity on how to rectify the issue unless you make your issue viral.
This is what I found:
🔹Post a diverse collection of videos without repeating whatever has been posted.
🔹Add something valuable to repurposed content.
🔹Avoid spamming, deceptive, or scammy content.
🔹Leave hate speech out of your videos.
🔹Minimize your use of profanity.
🔹Don’t show dangerous or illegal activities.
🔹Avoid posting sexually explicit content.
🔹Use royalty-free music from the UA-cam library.
🔹Stay up to date on UA-cam’s policies and guidelines.
🔹Review your content before uploading it to UA-cam.
I noticed it too when I UA-cam searched “my channel was demonetized”

Yes there have also been numerous lawsuits from black content creators that are in similar situations. There’s definitely a pattern and thank you for spreading awareness of this issue. We will continue to support you however we can and pray for you.
I think this is crazy. It’s a shame that they are able to do this without reasonable explanation. They are just trying to cut your money and get you to loose your followers. Praying for you. Sorry this happened to you. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Hey, I’m so sorry this happened to you. This happened to another You Tube content creator I watch and the “Lone Fox” was able to help them navigate out of this issue. They, like you, we’re heartbroken and in tears and the Lone Fox was able guide them through this mess. I’m hoping you can find a content creator who went through this and can help you figure this out. Again, I’m so sorry.

Yes, UA-cam is screwing with people's lives without anything close to an adequate explanation. Even if she can pivot and succeed with another channel (and I'm sure she can), I hope she also fights the demonetization of this channel and wins.
The fact that they're not even giving her ANY options for solving the issue is ridiculous. They cut off her income cold turkey (at least this stream), then give her the run around when she tries to fix it. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.
I'm not religious, but if there's some "higher purpose" here, hopefully it's benefit she gains from what she learns while successfully fighting this absurd bullshit. I guess I'll subscribe now.

This is so messed up! There has to be some sort of legal leverage you have, especially since they didn't tell you which video/s violated! That's like getting arrested and the cops not telling a person what they did! I'm soooo sick of this. This keeps happening to ORIGINAL black creators. I just found this channel, your content is extremely high quality, classy, seamless in flow. You personally are articulate, beautiful, your voice is smoothing and calming. I enjoy your apartment design thoroughly. I had a channel about my pet, it hit over 10k views within hours. 3 days later UA-cam took the views down to 1k and restricted my videos. It was just my bunny doing bunny things. I think this platform has envious competition that reports on others to stop threats from successful CC.

Sis sorry this happened to you, but THANK YOU so much for all the videos. I had not lived in an apt for over 20 yrs! When I had to move into one this yr your videos saved my life. It's ridiculous that the very people in charge of "supposedly" keeping us safe and make sure everyone plays by "their" (UA-cam) rules are the very same people who try to tear us down in the long run😢. They are so scared someone else's success of making their own money...sad.

From Seattle. I've heard that most people get demonetized for MUSIC rights. All musicians have their music copywrited and UA-cam has permission for creators to use certain licensed songs. So if you've used any music not on their list, that's copywrite infringement. They would probably overlook it if you were not monetized. I think artists lawyers also troll the internet looking for these infringements and threatening to sue.
The music isn’t the issue because I pay for a copyright free subscription via epidemic sound. Well.. shall I say… it bet not be 😏

I feel your pain but there is a very profound saying and that is that “winter always turns to spring” and although you may be going through a tough “season” continue to have faith (which I believe you have) that things will get better and the universe is conspiring to give you your hearts desires! I was dealing with depression cause my mom had recently passed. I never wanted to be home I was always going out. I realized as you said I hadnt made my residence a home. I was just here. After watching a few of your videos I'm always home. I feel like I'm in an entire new apartment. I get lots of compliments as well

Sorry to hear this happened to you. You have put a great deal of hard work and effort into your vlogs and I personally appreciate the designs you've share w/your audience. There are other paid platforms and Patreon is also an option. Something similar happened to me on Etsy where I made absolutely sure I followed all the rules *BUT* I also thoroughly searched the platform to be sure the new product I was about to sell that no one else had that product...and they didn't. It took off and was one of my most popular products. I noticed other sellers viewing my page frequently and just like I knew what would happen, it did. They pulled the same crap w/me. Often times we're dealing with jealous spirits that hide behind you're doing something wrong when in fact, it's just that green-eyed monster. You will solider on and we will *STILL* support you.
