Both are better than Kenny was last year. that is al that matters. #6 defense in the league never played with a lead last year. Add a running game, an OC who knows what he is doing and a QB who can be top 15 and we are good to go

Are you guys serious, Russell Wilson doesn’t have to prove anything to anybody. He’s a solidified Super Bowl champ and a first ballot Hall of Famer. Now let me ask y’all a question, how many quarterbacks with Justin Fields style has won a Super Bowl? Because y’all act like we have never seen a Justin Fields before, y’all must have forgot about Michael Vick and how many Super Bowl rings does he have? Is Justin Fields better than Lamar Jackson and how many Super Bowl rings does Lamar have? I like Justin Fields but y’all need to stop with the disrespect of Russell Wilson because y’all don’t talk about white Super Bowl winning quarterbacks the same.

Well let's see, Jalen Hurts went to the Superbowl and basically should have won that game with that style and Lamar went to the AFC championship, of course they lost to the chiefs but that style of play can win

@@perryellis1423 I know, basically should have won Lamar went to a AFC championship game but you still haven’t told me anyone with their skill set that has won a Super Bowl, I’ll wait. And to be fair I don’t put Jalen Hurts in the same category as Lamar Jackson and Justin Fields because the difference between the two Jalen hurts can beat you from the pocket and on a consistent basis they can’t.

@@carltonclaboine2855 what I'm saying is that style can win especially with a coach like Mike Tomlin who will give Lamar and Jalen Hurts something they never had vs the Chiefs featuring Pat and Travis and that's defense*
Mike Tomlin can win with Justin Fields that's why he wanted him coming out of Ohio State but the Steelers didn't pull the big trade to get him, but now they have him. This reminds me of when the Steelers got Jerome Bettis you know it's a perfect fit for both parties

Steelers need another WR. If Pickens is the only real threat out there, he is going to be covered like a Texas biscuit. He is going to get frustrated.

You can't double GP if teams have to use the 8th defender in the box against the run. Simple numbers would give you their answer to doubling any WR.

Steelers don’t necessarily need a top tier WR across from GP. Steelers offense is built like the ravens. Lots of speedy guys, a WR1, a rushing QB, and a good group of RBs. Steelers will be run first with explosive pass plays. However I would like if the Steelers added a guy like Metchie or Hunter Renfrow. Just to add another element to the WR core.

To Be a god QB. Needs to have a really good offense in Every way !!! QBs can’t do it all. The rest of the teammates matters to not just the highest pay QBs which is ridiculous!!! But yea is a team effort!!! Right now we got a 2 good QBs way better than the last 3!!! But let’s see when the 2024 season starts but no matter what I think we need another WR someone like DK Metkalf thought!!! Let’s go Steelers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll be attending tonight. I believe in both QBs. Agree with both takes. That's why Russ should start. Justin could start now, but it would be more beneficial for Justin to be a sponge behind the future hall of famer that is Russell Wilson. More time for Justin to master Smith's system, improve his body and technique without the punishment of a full NFL regular season game on his back.
This a special opportunity/situation for Justin to grow. Justin has rare potential, high celing. The floor needs work. Further, not every vet QB is receptive to this situation.....Ben and Mason....Favre and Rodgers....etc...
Russ is a good dude and great example for a young QB.

Justin Fields has never been consistent in his career. He’s never been an accurate passer even in college he struggled sometimes he’s a turnover machine and he struggles to read defenses. You may win some with him. You’re gonna lose a lot of games on his shoulders if it comes down to a close game in the playoffs. , Russell has won on the highest level in the league. All this stuff about fields making good throws I would hope so not to mention he’s looked highly inconsistent in camp. The local Pittsburg writers have all said so he struggles with consistent accuracy and that’s not gonna change. His instinct is always been to pull it and run because he struggles reading defense.
