- ABC15 shares an extended interview with the new detective assigned to the disappearance case of Mikelle Biggs. The 11-year-old was taken outside her Mesa home on January 2, 1999. We take a look back at the investigation and tell you where things stand 25 years later.

To Mikelles' loved ones, you have a community standing with you. There is optimism, and efforts are underway to thoroughly investigate cold cases by Detective Paul Sipe and the Mesa PD. I do believe in all of them and give them encouragement.
I was living in Mesa when this happened. This was a nightmare, my son was the same age as Mikelle. People were so afraid for their children. I always wondered how many children that monster got his hands on.
So happy for her family. They deserve ⚖ justice. They have been waiting for way too long.

Kimber has always been tireless in trying to get justice for her sister. I can’t imagine all their family has endured. 😭

This guy needs to reveal Mikelle's location before he passes away. He might not have that much time left to do it. Think of your own daughter alone out there somewhere, man. She doesn't deserve that.
Police have never publicly named a suspect.. Without that, we don't know what even happened to her after the kidnapping, let alone where her body may possibly be?? 25yrs and NONE of those clues/facts have ever surfaced.. So sad. On paper, it looks like she just vanished into thin air one day.. 😟 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Many prayers sent to the Biggs family, I pray that your family can get some type of closure for this case some day 🙏🏻🙏🏻✝️🛐

there also a case that happened in philidephia 5 yr old adrina was murdered by alexis flores this happend in the 90s he did rape her and strangled her left her in a abandoned building in apt complex to this day they havenot found this man!!! please start putting back america most wanted or something else to bring these kids killers on notice they need justice for the families.
I hope and pray that she is found. Along with so many other children and adults.
The case with Amberly Mendoza, they found her body in her home but no suspect, the case is still unsolved. Hopefully they can solve both cases

I was only 8 when this happened. You can say that this Arizona's version of the Adam Walsh case. I remember how scared my mom was to leave me alone even for a few seconds. It changed the way kids felt about their safety in their own community.

There was a girl killed in Tempe apartment complex a maintenance worker who went on tv also, he was convicted.
Family is always looked into.
Yes, everyone closest to the victim has to be ruled out before they can focus away from the family. It’s done this way in all investigations. Sadly, most victims know their perpetrator.

The block watch party at 8:05 was in front of my house that I still own on Emerald Ave. The neighborhood was in shock. The Mesa police helped organize the event for everybody to meet, exchange names, addresses, and phone numbers. Everybody was later given a map with all the info. During the event, something strange happened that the media has never mentioned. Dee Blalock started bashing the Mesa police officer who was speaking to the crowd. Dee said he was angry because his TV was stolen, and the police hadn't done anything. It was very strange and awkward. In the video clip of Dee, most people had already gone home. He's standing next to my '64 Chevy pick-up that I still own. The Mesa Police should definitely have turned their full attention to Dee after that night because he was already a registered sex offender!
This case has bothered me for many years. I wondered, at the time, if there was perhaps a neighbor luring kids with the music coming from their house. Then I wondered, what if the young person who wrote that message on that dollar bill was was also abducted at a very young age, and perhaps they are unsure how old they themselves really are, and what if they do not necessarily recall their own abduction in full detail and now that they are older, is it possible they have some sort of memory returning of it? Perhaps they suspect they are possibly Mikelle? Just too, too many missing children...............
Mikelle was old enough to spell her name, but abductors force their victims to take new identities and force them to forget their real names. I believe the dollar bill could have really been her.
