TrashKid63, Thanks for viewing. Millions of RR ties are replaced every year and they have to go somewhere. And in this shredder is about as cheap as you can get to reduce them and remove the steel
Aaron, Thanks for watching. How are you? We did not have a crossbelt for this demo so all the steel went into the pile. With 12" screens we did not separate all the steel from wood but with 9" we were able to. We remove 4' long 1" thick steel rod from Crane Mats which are larger than rr ties.
Could do with one of these over here..our chipper/hacker's always breaking down. Looks like a great machine esp.its capacity to handle all that iron in the sleepers/ties.
I've found the Doppstadt 3060 with comb extensions produces more than the Crambo in this application. It can handle metal better and produces more with less fuel and wear costs.
woodgrinder guy Amen brother!!! In Europe where they r made, nothing over 3 meter wide allowed on roads. So 9’ 10” about. That was best they could do. Even new design for Tier 4 engines couldn’t change it. Just FYI- Please keep ur eye on front wall plate bolts and the bolts for frame. U lose any or come too loose it will ruin ur tear!!

Where are all the tie plates, spikes and of the steel? Did they need to be removed before processing!!?
