For the Sake of Your Name

The Psalmists sang often about living to glorify God “for the sake of His Name” (eg. Psalm 23:3, 25:11, 31:3, 79:9, 109:21, 143:11). This is God’s ultimate desire (see Isaiah 48:9, 11). I wrote this song to encourage all Christ-followers to hold fast to and shine forth God’s Truth (Phil. 2:15-16), especially the millions being persecuted today, as we wait for our “blessed hope”: Christ’s appearing (Titus 2:13).
