Thanks a lot mate. There's quite a few spots further down but I don't generally fish down that way. If you find a bigger pond that's a bit deeper you should be able to get a few big ones.
I think you still have a lot to learn ahah. Carp don't make the water change colour, just something the government said on their fight to get more water for the cotton farms. They get blamed for a lot but i can guarantee the water is brown because of us humans!
Yeah mate it's definitely not a myth. Carp constantly feed on the bottom stirring up the mud and ripping up the vegetation. This pond is fed by rain. No farming water and no road runoff, so I can guarantee that the fish are the sole reason it is brown! Also, when fishing in strathalbyn we found the water to be dirty and full of carp. Now that there are almost none left in that spot, the water has returned to clear. Don't accuse me for not knowing what I'm talking about if you also don't know what you're talking about
Killing the larger fish allows for more biomass meaning more fish but smaller. The fish can contribute to dirty water if people fish out the bigger fish and only leave smaller fish. For every 1 big fished removed there will be room for another 10 smaller fish. It leaves thousands of small stunted fish instead of like 10 decent sized fish.
Thanks for the sick video. I went today and caught a 28cm carp. Good crab bait!
