You really should check out the original version with Saiki's vocals. It sounds great, I just love the instrumental version because the gaps give a very spooky feel. Thanks for the reaction!
Most instrumentals of songs with vocals are usually plain as it relies a lot on the vocals to fill up the song. But Kanami’s composition is so layered and complex that even without the vocals, it’s a full song. It’s true for all their instrumental tracks for unseen world and the few other white room instrumental versions of their popular songs like Domination, Sense and Unleash. Amazing.
This is the kind of stuff that is just going on in the background of most of their songs. Now that you have heard the instruments, please check out the song with the lyrics... it is just nuts. Thanks for the reaction!
Giovanni is absolute insane. A frenetic riff and abrupt genre changes of prog-rock, jazz-rock, hard-rock that shake you like in a rollercoaster. The Maids put you to the test. It's sink or swim. This is the song (because it's not an instrumental) that was, for me, the most difficult to listen to because Saiki and Miku sing as fast as Mincho shreds. After several listens, even if you don't agree with me, I think it's a masterpiece of modern rock. Thanks man.
What’s wild is the intricacies you have in “Giovanni” are in almost every Band Maid song. You have to hear them as instrumentals to appreciate it. I’m old and grew up putting the needle back on the track to hear Rush songs over and over. “Giovanni” brings back that nostalgia. As if I’m 14 again and saying to myself, “I don’t understand what this is, but this band is the best. So I’m gonna keep listening until I understand.”
GOVANI is a proper song. This white room instrumental version presents the original recording with the vocal tracks removed. There’s a lot of great stuff here, but it’s SAIKI and KOBATO’s vocals that tie together all the chaos.
Giovanni!! 🔥I'll add my suggestion to hurry up and do the version with vocals while this is fresh in your mind. There's a version from one of their livestreams, or just check out the studio track. I didn't see this instrumental version until after I fell in love with the regular version and I could hear so much that I didn't hear in the original because, as you'll see, there is so much awesomeness happening that your mind blows up. This is one of their most progressive and just insanely good songs.🔥
Not written as an instrumental, just that the vocals were removed. You have to - have to - check out the original version. You may not think there’s room for vocals but Saiki will not be denied.
Giovanni, the instrumental version, is great but, I like the original version with Saiki's vocals - her singing is filled with attitude in this song. Thank you for another excellent reaction to BAND-MAID.
You are getting no rest!! Wow. You have covered so many songs, it’s unreal! You will have your PhD in Band Maid - Dr. Ords!! As long as you are having fun, so are we!! These white room videos are awesome.
Hey Ords like I was telling you in the livestream Me, ATL and BM4 are ‘Carrier Pigeons’ and our whole online existence is to serve the Maids to as many people as would listen. We’re quite good at it I might add.🍺😆🤘🏻🕊️
Giovanni is a work of rock art, if there ever was such a thing. Probably a good thing that you listened to the instrumental first, it'll make the album cut even more amazing!
Giovanni is my new favorite instrumental. I thought your begining statement about your brain being about to explode was silly and over blown. Then I heard this freakin' tune. If anything you were the soul of restaint!! By the waterlogged fanny pack of the prophet Jonah this was magical! 😮 Thanks for the amazing reaction to a tsunami of a tune. I'm floored.
My favorite instrumental from Band Maid ! Thanks Ords. When are you going to drop the rest of the documentary's ? Still have Misa and Miku to go. Cant wait.
This song and many are great as instrumentals, and then they go and hide some of it under the lyrics which don't sound out of place at all. These 5 are just magical 😉
Lots of people have already mentioned that the original version of this song has (amazing) vocals. Tbh, it's good you heard the instrumental first, as it really helps you appreciate the gorgeous sensory overload of the full-fat version.
The "Official" studio version has lyrics and kind of covers quite a bit of the magnificence of the instruments, but still a banger! This is my favorite instrumental version of their songs that start with lyrics, stands on it's own!
Not an instrumental but still cool to hear better what everyone is doing! 😎🤘 They have done many "white room recordings" for songs that aren't instrumentals.
You have to read the lyrics to this song; the song actually has lyrics to it. It's very philosophical and deep. I kid you not. Lyrics by Miku. The song is actually inspired by a novel by Kenji Miyazawa - "Night on the Galactic Railway". The main character's name is Giovanni. It's will blow your mind. Yes, Miku is very well read.
Impossible for me to unhear the mad vocals/harmonies that go with it. They released an instrumental of this whole frenetic album...a regular listen for me. What a band!!!! 👊👊👊👌👌👌🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤🥳🥳🥳🤘🤘🤘
Yeah this isn't actually an instrumental, hard to believe that someone can sing to that but Saiki is a beast in this song. You can find a video of her doing it live but it's only focused on Saiki. When I saw these white room sessions I finally realized Kanami just doesn't have a "solo section" in a song, she basically solos through entire songs it's just buried underneath vocals and other instruments until they drop out.
Absolutely fantastic song, you should have done the vocal and the instrumental version together, though. And because you said you're not an instrumental guy, try to listen to ASTERISM, songs "Gunfire" or "Dawn" and say it again 😊
@@omdtdz Even our Mincho working really hard on Composed song(doesn’t matter how complicated or layers) Doesn’t mean our Pigeon is Lazy on Lyrics🙆❤️💙💚💛💜🐦Po
Part of the reason the breakdown sounds a bit odd is that this song is origionally a song with singing! Which sounds very different- but equally great. But its very busy and hard to parse without hearing this instrumental version as well! Hope you check out the OG song too.
Gacharic Spin and East of Eden is your next step? Have a nicce journey, you won't regret, I am sure. Who am I? a Band Maid fan since August 2016 that also like Gacharic Spin and East of Eden. Go for it.
I wonder how the pigeon can puts lyrics to these songs…I would just say “NO Lyrics needed!” Both Miku & Saiki make it a Band-Maid song. Thanks for the reaction and stay nuclear! 🤘🕊️🦍🥷👸🏻👀PO!

Great comment. And also without the complex multi vocal layering it sounds like a totally different song.
Most instrumentals of songs with vocals are usually plain as it relies a lot on the vocals to fill up the song.

I love how Miku shows her collection of Zemaitis guitars! This on is the "Aces And Eights" model.
And in concert there are vocals on top of this which match perfectly.
What If I told you that tiny Japanese woman on the right is one of the greatest rock music composers to ever live.

I think this song perfectly captures everything great about BAND-MAID.

They can do everything
I think Kanami treated herself to a couple shots of expresso before writing this one!!
There are very few bands if any that can pull this off.
Band-Maid are arguably the best at this.
So much practice time!
And just think, there's actually vocals to this song....
Did someone already say that you should check out the original with Lyrics?

Finally! :D :D :D
This song has enough musical ideas to fill an album.
Try "Unfair Game". No MV for this song but it is one of Maidiacs faves. It also has a crazy guitar solo from Mincho.
Kanami's finger speed must be burning holes in that fret board.
Bonus comment: My opinion is this was MISA’s coolest outfit
Mincho plays PRS. She has a custom model on order.
This is waaaaay better than the song. The triumvirate will never be denied. IDGAF.
this song absolutely kanami dance...
