Its crazy how some people are glued to their phones on the platforms and don’t admire a piece of history that’s rolling pass them.
To play devil's advocate, not everyone is a railfan. If someone had a bunch of old cars I wouldn't really care because I'm not into cars. I have a bunch of old stamps but not many people care about those because they're not stamp collectors
yeah you aint kidding, they do that while crossing the street also
You know that you’re getting older when the trains that are now called “museum trains” you remember from when you were growing up. 😆
That shot beginning at 16:15 was the money shot. Great work as always.
That gave me an add XD
Beautiful train paintjob.
Ikr now we got boring stainless steel
Oh man I had an awesome time yesterday riding on the colors best fan trip of my life.

Great work, steady extreme tele shots are prized. At 2:48 that was the moment she realized she became her mother. At 9:53 motorman James Earl Carter.
You James "Jimmy" Earl Carter Jr?
That "Polo Grounds" destination sign hasn't seen the light of day in ages!
I am surprised that some R-12/14 cars came with that destination and also "Astoria". Although the IRT still served those destinations I am sure that someone knew that there were plans to split the Flushing and Astoria lines and that the SMEE cars could not actually go to the Polo Grounds since that shuttle line used third rail which was not compatible with subway style third rail shoes. Also note that R36WF 9586-9587 has ML style doors whose windows don't line up with the side picture windows. The R33WF single cars appear to have their original doors. Ironically enough the Mets played in the Polo Grounds in 1962-63 while Shea Stadium was being built.
Watching that lone R17 and hearing it's screeching brakes made me miss the R16's
also apparently the "Train of many sounds" XD good video.
11:43 The Train makes a good beat to dance too. I'm with the chick.
I love your videos! The thing I miss most about not living in NYC anymore is the subway. My only complaint is not at all with you but the folks responsible for maintaining these cars. The color on the WF is completely wrong. I remember those cars from 1964: They were a robin's egg blue, and matte. Not gloss turquoise. And, the blue is also wrong on the MTA Corporate Livery stripe. That was a darker, royal blue. Also wish they'd restore the original roll signs, not the 1980s replacements.
Keep 'em rolling!
They also didn't restore the interior on 9307 to its original color. I guess that would be too expensive. The blue doesn't match 9306 because 9306 was put in the NYTM in 1976 before the graffiti artists could attack it so it is the only WF car which is original and unrestored.
The white pinstripe below the windows is also thicker than it should be. A bit funny since they have 9306 still in original paint for reference. But I'm grateful these things are running at all. Never thought any cars beside 9306 would be repainted back into WF livery, so it's great to see blue arrow cars running around the system, even if a little inaccurate. Hopefully one day the team can have the time and resources to do a full restoration, including repainting/retiling the interiors.
The museum cars:I haven't been here in so long!
great video like the pale blue and white color scheme. Hello from Scotland.
Great moments of these cars that came out to life for the events, in the future of other car groups of The layouts of the R26/28/29 cars that there at Concourse yard should be restored, repainted into other colors schemes of white even with the 1985 dk green scheme too!
There it is! The Rainbow Train
Classic "ta" logo on blue car
Shorty at 4:10 wit da white purse was lookin all kinds of right!
Very great coverage of the train Dj Hammers..
How do you chase subway trains? Do you have a scanner or something to help you figure out where the trains will be at a certain time so you can make videos?
If you go to the NYC Transit Museum and get a membership they have offer fan trips and schedules for when these trains will pass by.
No
Probably some forum..
@@Adougherty212 why not
I remember back in the day we used to go between the cars at long stops and smoke cigarettes

Umm im a kid,,,,,,,,,,,
It looks real nice. Pardon my asking, but where's R-12 5760? R-12/14/15 were regulars on the Flushing Line prior to introduction of the WF R-33/R-36 units for the 1964/65 World's Fair.
5760 is in the NYTM, part of the core museum fleet since 1976.
How many turnarounds did they do? The beautiful green car was in the front, then the back, then the front again.
9310 looks pretty spiffy!
The first picture looked like ninth ave on the D line
Diana Sands It was. They related the train through brooklyn to get it to Queensborough Plz.
Rail Around New York oh ok thank you
SpaZz thank you
When they have fan trips with these or the Low-Vs in B-division territory, do they make you sign a waiver regarding the gap size?
Polo Grounds? I thought that last bit of the 9th ave El was torn down in the late 50's! I only see one "Blue Arrow" World's Fair car on that train (at one end). You'd think they would keep those museum trains working at 100%, so how come one of the red cars had a broken door with only one panel opening?
I took pictures of it at Queensboro plaza and 111 St in the morning
In the Worlds Fair Commercial It had said there was 430 R33WF Cars, What happened to the remaining 429 Cars? Scrapped Or Preserved?
Jimmy Rodriguez Much of them went into work train service or were scrapped from what I know.
I never see a Many Colors" Museum Train
Dj Hammers
Countdown clock at grand st.
GONE ARE THE GLORY DAYZ OF REAL GOOD TOP 2 BOTTOMS, WHEN GRAFFIT RULED THE NYC SUBWAYS....THOSE WERE THE DAYZ.
RAINBOW SUBWAY!!!!!
When will this ever happen again so I can hop on?
RDnAC During the Summer I think
nice
oh crap they made the gta4 trains a real thing
Hmm it went on the D line
How do they let u on the train I mean if u buy tickets how they check u?
wristbands
When the police is transporting all their prisoners
I think you misspelled Colours
Now lean back and See how many People get offendend.
The four north cars of the train (9307-9586/87-9310) should have all been repainted in the WF colors inside and out to match 9306.
since the 7 train have the train of many colors and express and R188's and a few sets of R62A's then the 6 has R62A's & R142A's why don't MTA just gather some left over redbirds and then when trips happend the train of redbirds can be use to the 4 line or the 6 line because the 5 does not really need one!
