Ms Etta was a force to be reckoned with, her vocals were unmatched.
I loved it when she shouted and the camera spazzed out, green lines across.
I love Etta!!! The blonde playing guitar is a young Brian Ray. He was her bandleader and now plays with Paul McCartney in his band.
Her pain was as powerful as her voice, she seemed to be crying at the end.
Ms. Etta was a wonder, bringing the old gospel songs to life. My God, she could bring the Holy Spirit out of those who listened to her sing.
Ive loved this old Ray Charles classic ever since i heard Johnny Winters excellant version 54 years ago ive heard lots of good versions ie Catherine Russel Jeff Becks Guy Kings etc and ive heard this live version of Ettas with Howard Johnson on baritone and tuba and his amazing in tune with Ettas dynamics Horn section i just love it all inspirational wow
