I have just had both hips replaced in Australia. I realize that medical treatment in the US is ridiculously expensive, but sending patients home just two days after bilateral hip replacement is not just cruel, it is extremely dangerous for the patient. An average hospital stay after bilateral hip replacement in Australia is six days.
