If that harpoon was a little higher you could add a little gutter or cordage cutter. Heck it'd probably make camp curly fries.

Only thing that i dont understand of the scale design is why they made that cutout on the upper part where your thumb usually rests. Now instead pushing a wider "platform" of thr 2 scales and the spine of the handle, you only adding force to the steel part what can hurt when you do harder jobs. Ideas?
Agreed, not to mention a half sized finger choil or ferro rod striker? What is this wasted real-estate on my blade?

How are the scales fastened, any adhesive on the scales?

What sort of edge do you have on this knife? Is it a flat edge or hollow ground?

I'm happy that you're using the nitro-v blade steel and switched to a taller grind but where I see a shortcoming in this design is that area forward of the blade stop which I cannot figure out of its a half finger choil or a firesteel striker 🤔🤷♂️ either way I see it as wasted real-estate on my blade that I'm unable to utilize in any truly functional way so please either give us a choil or don't but please don't use up valuable blade real-estate if you're not going to give a full finger choil if this is simply an oversized sharpening notch...
Also as stated below, why remove the handle scale material where the jimping on the spine is located taking away from a much wider thumb pad for using heavy pressure while cutting instead now we have just the blade and jimping?
Handle reminds me a lot of the Freeman 451.
When held next to the reeve pacific they're quite similar knives as well...
