i have read some stupid comments on UA-cam in my life but some of these ones here have to be the Best, this guy is not a a maestro,he is a GUITAR GOD, viejo? torpe? what???? you think that when you get old you forget to play? ha ha ha, maybe if your 90 and you cant pick up the guitar,the guy came to visit and they gave him a guitar and probably said,"just play a bit" its what they call a impromptu jam, what?, you want him to sound like he does when his cousins and brothers have 10 more acoustics playing at the same time in concert? im sure all these comments are from recorded guitar players that have played at the royal Albert hall in England, this guy can school you from Monday to Sunday and you wouldn't know what happen. case closed.
I wouldn't call him a god, hes not done anything really creative in the flamenco world, pretty much undheard of. Yes there are plenty of technical gods out there but creativity is celebrated. You probably don't understand flamenco so much, tony is in a Rumbero band where they play rumbas, musically uninteresting. He does have a few performances of real creativity on youtube but as a guitarist no.
@@BirdBop Baliardo is a guitar god, man, but not in his lifetime....his musical tendency is gipsy jazz, listen the CD Essences, man, there is some creativity in flamenco world.

Tonino has a more refined touch than Pascual Gallo, Ottmar, Govi, Kema, and others.....but he got influences of Paco de Lucia.

Trevor Graham Welch He uses Savarez, and so do I. Those are in big part responsible for the amazing sound that comes out of his guitars. He uses Hermanos Conde, Cordoba, Takamine, Gipson Chet Atkins, and a few others. There are tabs for most of his music. He is still with the Gipsy Kings.

segment was too short, for one thing. should have been at least five minutes, allowing him to play a full song...someone below me said that he could detect influences of paco de lucia....well, idk....paco's playing was uninspiring to me...it lacked emotional expression, and THAT is exactly the opposite of tonino's...
Hey, man, I had declared it (Paco´s influence) not based in this video, ONLY, but I read it in a CD of Tonino (Essences).

@@nosferatumram6359 Sí, Maluma vendió muchos más y hace música de mierda. Los discos que se venden no son la medida de un artista. Tonino es muy bueno en su papel en Gipsy Kings pero en la guitarra autenticamente flamenca le falta mucho para tener el nivel normal.
Tonino en la rumba a creado lo más lo que nadie hará sus instrumentales quedarán en la historia ¿quien no quiere tocar pharaon tierra gitana tampa alegría etc? Un genio y humilde
He plays too fast, this is the biggest mistake great Flamenco guitarist make. Paco De Lucia being the Worst offender. Playing at a slower speed will always improve the sound more.
I don't think it's a mistake. They want to play fast and that's what they do. For who is a mistake?
