I certainly agree with your feedback, the beta is definitely unrefined and I wish there was more clarity in how upgrades impacts skills. Also, yeah…I was looking forward to the beta, but it feels less fun than the previous iteration. I’ll see how this game’s development progresses.

Absolutely. The fourth area bosses are insanely tanky. The fights seemed to have been designed as though you would be fighting them alone, but you're not.
Leveling seems to be slower, or maybe the enemies are generally harder to kill, thus resulting in less earned experience. (Edit: I was looking at the quests, and it looks like they give a lot less experience now. I think I was over 100% bonus experience. Now I'm under 70%.)
It feels like you _need_ to be running some super optimized build just to clear the levels... and then the Lords actually feel slightly weaker, or maybe they're the same, but the fact that you needed to be so strong to even reach them makes them feel weaker.
They're also starting to have the problem of seeing enemy attacks through your own which is common in these types of games.
The double effect uncollectable gear is kind of neat, but the RNG means it could make a huge difference to your run... or none at all.
It should be noted I'm having these issues when I have nearly all of the gear and most of the permanent level-up stuff unlocked. I am still working on the potions, though.

But he is wrong about what he said. He said it would be 0 % at level 25. It's actually 0% at level 75. At level 25 it's still 32% Roughly at least. Probably still crap though.
@@atnfn with the 3 Item rerolls IT IS still a good starting Option for a Lot of builds.
I just beat 4 stage in agony level 2, did not go any more then that. With shield master ;) - 91 def, 202 block, 1k hp, 5-6 crits because of the gloves, untouchable he was, was going thru packs melting everything. Final boss was just standing or just moving round close to him, super easy.
They said officially no more non-crit characters. Still low and high characters but none stuck at zero/zed.
I haven't even played yet and just hearing about the changes had me thinking "Why did they try so hard to make the game less fun?" It feels like they are doing the whole "More difficult = less fun" thing and that kind of stinks. Hopefully they will figure out how to make the game challenging, but keep the fun.

the fire crown also buffs burn strength thats why you hit the hydra with 4k burn :) and going for 1 dmg typ now is not that bad than befor because if you apply a stack when you have 20 stacks on target triggers its dmg ^^
There's 14 ticket drops in agony mode on the 3rd map, havent messed with the other ones. That means 4 fully upgraded weapons with a 5th weapon with 1 upgrade. My problem is getting enough levels for all of these upgrades lol. Why is the hydra tankier than the reaper boss? Also they have nerfed Archer and exterminator. Their weapon and prof levels arent as good now. Swordsman seems fine with echoing band. Frost avalanche on the other hand is really good. I think ring blades,frost avalanche, and needles are the strongest weapons now. Transfixion, lightning strike, flame strike, arcane splinter are all terrible and they nerfed Golem. The golem acceleration trait no longer increases the roll cooldown, so the extra attack speed makes the golem roll more often. Which means Golem is terrible now. I think the best core build for agony is ring blades, phantom needles, frost avalanche and radiant aura punitive light only upgrade. I've been messing around with the last weapon, the slow from the frost avalanche is really nice and it did 8m total from itself and its frost damage. Compared to the 12 mil from needles and 11mil from blades. For the 5th weapon Transfixion, kugelblitz, orbs, dragon's breath are all fine.
I feel ridiculously weak and drowning in this game I played swordsmen without xp necklace to get materials for the new potions and it was torture not fun or satisfying at all I despise to this day how piercing does not affect shield skeletons and simply one shots there shield once reach certain pierce but they increased block strength so much on enemies getting kills is a challenge and you almost now require one revive in order to pass a run for players that aren't that good I personally had to finish getting all achievements in order not to feel so slow
Agony is a curse like mechanic that boosts enemy strength and number as well as gold amount earned while also adding more bosses that can give you even more skill upgrades than you can get without it. All those yellow outlined bosses were the ones spawned by agony and the source of the extra tickets you were seeing. Also you will need to use the agony system to get the ingredients for reroll potions for abilities and gear to even spawn.
Also no new potions Dex? The ticket reroll potion is soooo good.

I am going to assume by now you have figured out how the agony lvling works. If not well then here you go. Agony lvls when you are collecting the gems that lvls you. And if you are not collecting them it will slowly go down.

isn't burn chance better now than pre-beta? Because going beyond maximum stacks now triggers burn damage. (although don't think having above 100% triggers it twice)
There is a wording on the dragon fire burn chance trait that says that anything above 100% triggers additional burn. I completely melted agony 3 boss in third map with the continuous dragon fire upgrade, so it might actually trigger twice.
Agony level goes down as you get hit, you can also lose levels of Agony if you keep taking damage. I was able to get to Agony level 6 and beat the first world with swordsman.
yea, Jade amulet uselesss after 75 lvl, because of -2% exp every 3 levels.

Idk, there are a lot of nerfs and a lot of buffs. Mono Lightning Strike build maybe mixed with kugelblitz might be interesting. I don't particularly enjoy all the nerfs especially if they make the game much harder and tougher with the new agony mode, I just find them unnecessary as all the fun comes from making various combinations of spells and maxing out their evolvements to see how far that gets you. So buffs on meteors and lightning strike like skills were needed but I don't see the need for nerfs on some others. Maybe the guy will revert them or at least give some buffs back to the old but gold skills like the blades
The more you are hit, the more Agony decrease, that's why you ended with Agony 2

Why not turn on performance mode if it gets laggy?
Seems like base force affects all abilities. So Meteors are big from the start if you're 80 level or so. If the levels boost force by default, or if your force is big because of upgrades you got, I'm not sure.
You get .5% bonus area per level I think. I could be misremembering but I'm pretty sure I was level 60 when I checked and had 30% bonus area from level ups
The game could definitely use an option to highlight projectile enemies ans their projectiles. Already needed it before agony, but with it it's completely impossible to see the projectiles coming.
@11:10 One of the stated intents I believe is for everything with any direct damage component to be able to benefit from Crit, thus the changes.
Force ate up Piercing and Duration which had very few things they applied to, the "Others" may just be vague (this dev does is bad at clarity) but may also be because the dev hasn't made Force do something for everything yet. I think Force will eat up some Effect Chance too.
But other weird things are happening too, like my Exterminator just isn't even offered Flat Defense. Heck, my Agony gauge doesn't even have a label above it. It works, I'm getting all the Agony effects on enemies, but no label.
Being nerf happy, is a good way to get ppl to not buy/play your game.
What happened to the walls of ghost that close in on you towards the end of this map noticed that I never saw them

I believe I got to agony 4 on lvl2, but it dropped to agony 3 during the boss fight. Not sure what it really means
collecting the gems to upgrade yourself is what increases the agony, you stop collecting them the agony slowly goes down.
I'm a bit twisted on Heat Blast tbh. I used to think it's really bad because the push back really isn't needed but then I think(!) I noticed that Heat Blast causes the wave to push enemies back into the wave. Meaning the same with hits the same enemy multiple times because it keeps pushing them into itself. Making it possibly vastly more useful than I previously assumed.
5 base damage on this weapon is not really bad it applies to each instance of flamethrower as they all count as separate attack. At least they did before the patch. Each tick of damage is really small because base damage is really small but you have to remember it is multiplied by each additive % damage increase and then it is multiplied again by crit damage. It is flat 20% damage increase and because this weapon attacks so fast it is not really that bad.

Agony mode? PC killer application... 🤣🤣 at certain point i selected fire, cold, electric... all. BUT my pc at certain point... ASK ME "PLEASE STOP... PLEASE PLEASE... YOU MUST DIE".... anyway, i wait for a better performance considering the number of "things" in motion and the engine... this is only my personal view, feedback "sended" considering the beta phase.
It's time for you to get a new PC, not wait for developers to make it all better for you. It's not their problem, it's yours.
