That's the correct way to replace a Kia Wheel bearing. I seen other videos showing people trying to beat the things with a sledge hammer. This guy did it correctly....Good job!....I have the parts for my Kia Rio because my bearing is bad. Have to find the right mechanic to do mine. I don't have the impact type wrenches to get some of the parts off. And its too freaking cold out!
The sledge hammering is largely a result of rust. Not sure where this guy is but it has to be dry. Looking at the exposed metal pieces, there's zero to almost zero rust. If you're trying this somewhere where you have cold wet winters, and especially if they salt the roads, you're going to have a bad time. Trying to pull apart parts that have been basically welded together by rust is not fun. There are specialized tools for it but even then sometimes it's a puller and sledge hammer to get things off. ... Which is the part I'm stuck on now.
