Towards the end of his life, he was so ahead of his time. He was already the coolest cat as the 70's was approaching. I would of loved to see him through the 70's ....what he would do, musically and in his life and watch his 70's style evolve. Alas, though, I don't think he would of survived the 70's either anyway. He is and always is my favorite of all time.
Ahead of his time? He is a misogynist jerk who abused women and abandoned them, how he refused to support the children he fathered. Dear God...how you can pretend that side of him didn't exist.

Dear God.... you must have heard about all the young women, girls really, whom he used and abused and abandoned, pregnant and alone? How the teenage mom whom he left behind had to go on television news to beg for help?
Even girls in those days knew that sex could make them pregnant. There were no victims.
@patricias5122 Why people insist in expounding upon this narrative with no knowledge of circumstances reminds me of the kind of judgemental gossip mongering that always faces someone who is known of but not personally known by those who repeat it over and over. There is also the fact that the late 50s and early 60s in spite of being seen as the Stone Age (pun) young girls were taught that having unprotected sex could result in pregnancy....so they fantasized a life of domestic bliss with the object of their infatuation, and yet Brian Jones was the boy who used, abused, and abandoned girls and their children. The only one. The monster. Just stop.

One of the things is,when I was a little boy apart from the Beatles,usually the only house hold name in a group was the lead singer eg Paul Jones,Eric Burdon,Ray Davies etc. As a 7 year old I didn't have a clue who Keith Richard and Wyman were but I knew the blonde one was called Brian and that made him something distinctive compared to other 'backing' musicians

He was drowned by at least one person in his own pool at his home. He was murdered.

Lovely tribute, he would now be 77. I was 15 when he became my first crush, of course it was as painful as any real romance to be had later in life. I didnt like the rest of the band at all in fact l childishly gave them names like Bill Boring, Keith Cantplay, Mick St Vitas and Charlie Why.

Back in the day I was a Stones freak and I idolized Brian. Handsome or as we’d say back then: cute. There are some other contenders though. My choice now would be Syd Barrett. But there’s lots of eye candy out there❤️

Brian was the whole package, strait 10's. As someone who was exposed to cocaine in the 1970's as a teenager, I can only imagine the dark forces coming at Brian, bad spirts want to distroy us all. I later worked at the higher end of fitness business and helped many people improve their lives. Brian needed a intervention that would have helped clean up his life. Got him eating well, in the gym and seeing the big picture of being a surviver. We tend to feel more protective of special people which he surly was. I can feel that in the many post's. He could have survived the period, he likely would have aged very well and gone on to do much more on music and life😊. He is in God's memory for sure, he's paid his price. God bless you all.😊

He was very young when he fathered those kids so can’t we remember the man for his musical accomplishments instead of harping on about his (long-grown) children who none of us knew?
