I feel like this podcast has everything a nerd could want. A very well explained breakdown on how to solve an operator problem, and an in depth explanation of the pokemon Charizard. Just another reason why Christian is the GOAT
Christian is easily one of my top favorite Survivor guests. I love listening to him nerd out about the math and statistics of the game. He is just so kind and engaging with his responses - I love it. A fun and interesting listen every time.

This podcast really tickled my math nerd fancy! Christian bringing out the iPad notes to break down the mathematics was great. I will remember GELO! All of your speculation for the next round was very interesting.
I missed this last night so now I get a 3 hr podcast to listen to at work this morning 🎉
For the operator puzzle, when you have a possible group of numbers you can add them all up. Take the total sum, subtract 100, and divide by 2. If this equals one of the numbers in your set, that is where the negative sign goes and the puzzle is solved.
Also, if you assume there are no 3 digit numbers, there are only 5 sets of numbers that you need to test since the single digit number has to be odd. As you aren't given the question ahead of time it is very challenging, but the problem is very solvable with foresight

Christian needs to have a weekly podcast series on RHAP where he breaks down everything that would go on the Survivor Blackjack Card. Obviously, every episode is 5 hours.

Rob & Christian, when you came up with the idea of a sacrifice being needed before merging, it resonated with me. On French Survivor (named Koh Lanta), before merging, each tribe must designate 1 ambassador. The 2 ambassadors meet on a remote location and choose who must be sacrificed. If they can't agree on a name, they draw rocks.

With regards to whether anything in the episodes hints at the showmance (besides Kendra saying she thinks they're in love)...go back to when Dee won immunity. As everyone is congraulating her, Austin says "I love you" to her and she says it back. They even chose to subtitle it even though they didn't subtitle some of the other crosstalk happening at the same time.

Not that it matters, but live watching this episode I decided to put a 3 minute timer on my phone to try and solve the puzzle. I solved it in 47 seconds lol.

Katurah and mama j and dee vote bruce . Austin and drew vote for jake and emily and bruce and jake vote for dee . Dee goes out . Thats what i think could happen next episode.
This would be super super interesting! Curious to see what happens
he went about that math problem correctly but took too long. trial and error would be quicker since the numbers are static and need to stay in place and only 1 minus can be used and the final total ends with a zero and must be a positive number. the minus needs to be toward the left, no further than the 7 or else you'll get a negative number. then just move around the single digit until you get a zero when you add up the 10s place. you could easily eliminate 100s-100s+1s+1s+1s and figure it's four double digits and 1 single digit.
Christian sait the minority should split the vote. Not the majority.

Never did I ever think I would want to turn my Favorite Show off. But what the hell is this guy talking over the players to tell us what's happening... What we're stupid... This Talk Over guy is very $$##$$##$ Annoying... Shut him up.... I have to stop watching as this guy is driving me nuts...... I'm sorry but this move is a NO for our home..... Life is annoying as it is... But Survivor you screwed up....

I love Christian but this is not khan academy. Please don’t spend soooo much time on the blackboard next time. 😭 Not everyone is a math nerd and wants to hear that much
I like that Christian’s approach and podcast appearances are different and often math/probability focused. RHAP has so many other recaps pods that this one really stands out and gives a unique perspective. You can always skip the math parts if you don’t like it!
